Fast and flexible… Geomorphic map tiles are a design technique that defines and locates set features on edge of the tile so any tile can connect to any other tile without concern for orientation. This map is a map 480 by 480 (massive) however its only 16 tiles: The tiles have fixed connection points (some can be closed off solid or secret doors.) "3D" corridors that cross over and under each other. And the tiles will also connect "off center." A full sized sample can be found here: LINK These design technique is very old. Example of a pack from Gary Gygax in 1976(ish): Again geomorphic tiles are fast to set up... and really flexible. The tiles are large enough to be customized by the GM after they down load them and it makes their library of "tiles" much more manageable (fewer tiles) and yet can produce nearly an endless amount of dungeons. This technique is perfect for the Roll20 virtual table top... So I would encourage other market creators to add this technique to what they offer. And any market creators should feel free to make sets that connect with these (I just call them type A) or develop their own standard. And finally, at 840px by 840px* a single "map" tile could be sold or a small group of four (or something) that could really have a lot of items and interesting lighting effects. * 12 by 12 Roll20 map grid units at 70px

Sorry I was only able to post about this until now, but ohmygoodness these tiles are fantastic! Awesome job, Stephen!
These are pretty cool, at first I didn't realize they were already available on the marketplace, I thought they were still a WIP.
great work 10/10!

I was going after a random dungeon generator and the more I looked at the challenge the more this old style of tiles worked best (I think.) Here is a simple API that leverages these tiles if you use API ( link .) You don't need API to use the tiles... and I didn't put all the tiles in the script... working on taking the API further. Content creators looking at this I would look at sites like this for inspiration: http://www.1km1kt.net/geomorph/

I posted the these two images on the wiki. https://wiki.roll20.net/File:Geo_Type_A_Shadows_Example.png And https://wiki.roll20.net/File:Geo_Type_A_Off_Map.jpeg Should anyone want create other packs that will work with these. And lastly one sample tile to play with: https://wiki.roll20.net/File:Geo_Type_A_0045.jpeg

Working on another tile set that will present something a bit different and hopefully fun to play, while staying within a geomorphic template.
