Hey there, I've seem some people complain about the how some diferently
shaped tokens get all distorted when snapped to the grid. To clarify
what I'm talking about <a href="http://i.imgur.com/w4Zv7k5.png" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/w4Zv7k5.png</a> As
you can see, once I resize to the apropriate 2x2 squares, the image
becomes distorted. I know there are worarounds, but the way I see this could be fixed, and at the same
time improve the roll20 experience, is this: the token image and squares
occupied in the grid should be different parameters, that way the image
could extend through the margins of the squares the token is actually
occupying, like this: <a href="http://i.imgur.com/FsxmlIE.png" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/FsxmlIE.png</a> The
red square indicates the actual token size, which will be snapped to
the grid. The image of the token is not limited by it's size, though it
could be the case if we wanted, would be freely rearranged to the DM's
wish, he should be able to drag more to the right or up till it's just the way he wants. As per the linked picture, we would also get a good idea of reach, characters could, for example, be positioned under a Hydras head, kinda like this (<a href="http://i.imgur.com/tFiU304.png" rel="nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/tFiU304.png</a>). I do believe that this would greatly improve the way we play. What do you guys think?
