Cypher Systems by Roll20 - Release notes The Cypher Systems by Roll20 character sheet allows for play of Cypher System games from Monte Cook Games’, including: The Strange Numenéra generic Cypher System The previous ‘The Strange’ official sheet by Steve K / Roll20 is still available, but considered deprecated and will no longer receive updates or support. Transitioning to this new official sheet is straight-forward, and covered below. The Cypher Systems sheet by Natha are also considered deprecated, as the new official sheet is an upgrade of that sheet by the same author. Converting character from other sheets The Cypher Systems by Roll20 sheet can convert characters from those sheets: The Strange (official/by Roll20) Specifics for conversion from previous The Strange sheet: Skills will be converted to new entries in the Skill repeating section Weapons will be converted to new entries to both the Attacks and Weapons repeating sections Special Abilities, Cyphers and Equipment text blocks will be copied to the Misc texta area of the relative subsections Advancement will not be converted (as the new sheet has a more detailed subsection) Numenéra (community, not Tabbed) Specifics for conversion from the Numenéra (community) sheet: All Skills will be converted to Intellect Skills (as the Numenéra sheet doesn’t specify the relative Stat for skills). Please review the Skills in the new sheet after conversion, to set the appropriate relative Stat. All Skills will be converted to Might Attacks (as the Numenéra sheet doesn’t specify the relative Stat for attacks). Please review the Attacks in the new sheet after conversion, to set the appropriate relative Stat. Cyphers, Artifacts & Oddities, and Equipment text blocks will be copied to the Misc texta area of the relative subsections Special Abilities will be converted to new items in the Special Abilities repeating section, with an attempt at setting the Use by interpreting the Use text field of the Numenéra sheet. If no common word for Use (Enabler or Action) is found, they will be set to Other. Please review the Special Abilities in the new sheet after conversion, to verify the appropriate Use. Advancement will not be converted (as the new sheet has a more detailed subsection) Cypher System (community) Specifics for conversion from the Cypher System (community) sheet: Might, Speed and Intellect Skills repeating section will be converted to new items in the single Skill repeating section, with the appropriate Stat set. Might, Speed and Intellect Attacks repeating section will be converted to new items in the single Attacks repeating section, with the appropriate Stat set. NPC will be converted fully but might require to force the new sheet to “NPC” setting. Warning: if the character to be converted comes from the Community Cypher System sheet or Community Numenéra sheet, and some of its data predates the full implementation of unique IDs for repeating sections items in Roll20, the conversion process will not be able to fully translate the character: the number of items in each repeating section will be right, but items without unique internal IDs will lack the appropriate data in each attributes of the item. So, to ensure the safety of the old character’s data, we would recommend to copy the old character to a new game using the Cypher Systems by Roll20 sheet, either using the Character Vault, or the Transmogrifier.
