5e Class Spells by Level broken?

i found several topics from 5/9/12 months ago asking about this but there didn't seem to be an answer. If I access the compendium from the game and i click on Cleric/Wizard/WhateverClass "Spells by Level/Name" it actually shows ALL spells and it doesn't filter by class. I have noticed that those are all part of the SRD and if i access the PHB outside the game i can correctly filter by class, but there doesn't seem to be a way to access that info/page with filtering from inside the game? Even if i post a link to it in the chat like: https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Spells%20List?sort=Level&Classes%5B%5D=Cleric&Source%5B%5D=Player%27s%20Handbook#content that filtering is completed ignored and it just opens the full spells list from the SRD. Bonus question: i thought the SRD didn't even include all spells, is there any way to access the PHB/Xanathar spells from the in game compendium and remove the SRD book from the game? EDIT: links from the PHB to the "Class Spells by Level" also seem to be broken and show all spells: https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Rules:Spells#content

I've found it to be utterly awful even by the Compendium's already-low standards. I use phone apps to look up class & spell related stuff because the Compendium is so useless for this. Well most things really, it will happily turn up results that do not contain the string you searched for. Gives me a nice hit of nostalgia though, takes me back to using Yahoo in Netscape. It should work, considering we're paying for it. Twice really: you buy the content and pay a sub. Yet a bunch of free phone apps outperform it embarrassingly easily. At least the drag & drop works though, for my level of laziness this alone is worth the entry price. Otherwise I'd be far more outraged that the spell list doesn't function in a remotely useful way. In fact, it wasted hours of my time when I first started using it and didn't realise it was completely broken. So no, you are not the only one with the issue. But the only advice I can give is "don't use it". The SRD Spell List link will actually populate with all the spells you own from Xanathar's/PHB by the way... not that it will do you much good as you can't sort them in a useful way. The best you can do is use another app or spreadsheet to sort your spells, then search the compendium for that specific spell you need. There's currently no way to remove anything from the Compendium AFAIK - for example all the double entries from PHB/EK.

thx for the reply, we just bought pro + phb + xge + tyranny of dragons, we are all newish players, we were trying to create 1st level characters today and the guy with the cleric was going crazy since he needed to know all his first level spells and all the links were broken. This entire thing sounds crazy, with all the money we put into it (i just dropped $100 on it) the minimum i would expect is a developer spending 5 min to fix simple bugs like this, i am kind of surprised by the lack of support I have sent them an email about the issue, maybe i will get more luck in getting a response through that.

If you google "5e spell sorter spreadsheet xanathar" you should find a handy spreadsheet if you know your way around Excel. You can do things like filter Cleric spells that use Bonus Action. It doesn't have descriptions or damage in it though. "Spell List D&D 5th Edition" is a good lightweight spell app if your phone is Android. This has the full spellcards. "Fight Club 5e" is another popular app, Android and Apple, though I personally found it a little bloated. Incidentally, you might want to direct a vote at this suggestion thread , title says it all!
Here's how to get the spells filter to work correctly... https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/8521587/

thx to both of you, i still hope to get an official response and someone to fix those links in paid material. Alan that helps a lot! Weirdly enough click on the spells entry works fine but if you write it manually both the C and the S in "Category:Spells" need to be capitalized otherwise that filter option doesn't appear but you still get the list of spells in the window; i don't understand how a website with 5M users doesn't fix something like this immediately adding an ignore case to the filter, it literally takes 2 seconds
I have the same issue and it's very frustrating. Essentially, an important part of the PHB is just not available because of this. I find it particularly disappointing that the issue seems to have been around for a year now and also that there is no official commitment/timeline to this.
