I don't know anything about creating macros. I'm new to roll20 and while, in time, I intend to learn about the art of creating macros, right now I'm looking for a quick solution to something I have a feeling will be easy for those who are experienced with macros. As the topic title suggests, I would love to have a macro that, with a token selected, causes the token to emit a certain amount of light. This, for me, would usually be when a player in my game lights a sconce or torch on a wall. While I appreciate that it doesn't take that much time to click on the token, go into its advanced options, and type in the light information, it would take a whole heck of a lot less time if I could just click the token and then click a macro. One level of a dungeon might have 50 or more sconces, so the time savings adds up quickly. Plus, it's just easier, and who doesn't like that? It seems like this would be a really simple, but frequently used, macro for torches, sconces, candles, fireplaces, and so on. A fancy addition to it could be a pop-up box where I can enter a distance the light travels (so that "candle" and "bonfire" give off different amounts of light),but even a set amount would be great. Can anyone help me with the macro? I searched all combinations of keywords I could think of for a solution to this and came up with nothing, but it's possible I wasn't using the best search terms. I apologize if this has already been discussed. If it has, please share the link to that discussion. Thanks!
