[LFP][D&D5E] Experienced DM looking for players. New players welcome!

Hello all, I am a fairly experienced DM who has run multiple games for friends, and have played in quite a few as well. I am looking to start up a new game with the extra free time I now have and am looking for some players. I am more than happy to accommodate new players and am glad to help teach others. The world I'll be running is a homebrew using 5e mechanics and books. All source material is available in my game and possibly any homebrew content as well, once I look over it and decide if it will work or not.      Just post below with a brief introduction of your name or username(whichever is comfortable for you), your experience, and what you would like to play. I don't require a back story idea yet as I feel those are better done with the group and knowing more about each other and the world. This will be a bi-weekly game run on Thursdays around 6-7pm est. Time and day are slightly flexible depending on the group. I am also looking for about 4-6 players for this game. I look forward to hearing from you all!

Hi! My name is Chris. I am quite new and inexperienced but I am willing to give it a go and learn. I think I would like to play as a Tiefling Rogue as I am a fan of sneaky characters.
Hello Tory, My name is Tony B, looking for a group to expand my gameplay on either a Wed or Thursday evening EST after work. I played WOD and D&D in the 90s, moved on to Warhammer and Magic (because thats what people around me were playing), but missed the charcter interaction. In November of last year I made the move back into RPG finding an Adventures League group and getting addicted to Critical Role. With the pandemic I found Roll20 and started pulling  some of my new AL friends into a game I've been running for the past month.  They say I'm doing good but I need to stretch my RP skills and play some of the characters that keep coming to be in my head but dint flesh out as NPCs in my game I have several characters bouncing around in my head (and in my D&D Beyond account)  including a Bugbear rogue, a trickster cleric, and an overly helpful warforge artificer (actually hes one of a "litter" of warforge "trying to blend in" that Id love to play, but also like the idea of creating a character along with others to make them Gel. Letme know
Hello Tory, the friendly DM here! As my username implies I am a Dungeon Master and Have been for the last few years! I've never got the chance to actually be a player in a campaign/game but would love the chance to! As far as what I would like to play, I'd like to think I could have fun playing anything at the table so nothing is off limits for me though I do have a Gnome Ranger concept cooked up in my head! Just message me if you need anything! (Tried to keep it short & Sweet) Wish you the best of luck regardless!
Hey, what's up, Tory. As far a tabletop RP I've just played 5E, as a DM seriously wanting to be a player and experience a world around a character that a create. I tend to add some creative freedom to a couple of aspects in characters so an active and fresh communication between player and DM is something cool. Right now I don't have anything in mind but ideas go fast for me. Looking forward to it.

Hi Tory! My name is Andrew and I'd love to be a part of the adventures you're planning on running! I've been playing dnd for nearly three years and I'm very much a role player and like to do voices and such. I'm hoping to play an aasimar paladin named Klaus Tuckur. I'm available on Thursdays, but am also able to be flexible and play on pretty much every other day if needed (except for possibly saturday, because things may come up.) I hope you have a fun time dming and I'd be more than glad to be a player in your campaign! If you'd like to message me privately, cause roll20 is stupid sometimes, my discord is Hydra#5542
Greetings I am Lord Virdishon, What is your name? You may call me Lord Virdishon (character) or COG (like the gear). Are you over 18? I am indeed over 18 years of age and have seen many suns rise and fall upon these lands. Do you like role playing and are you familiar with D&D combat and character creation?  I do indeed enjoy role playing. I am masterful at the art of character creation and understanding the art of combat. Are you available to play?  I have open time slots for practically every day at most all times. Do you use Discord? I do use Discord quite frequently and am quite good at using it. PM me if you would like my Discord tag to talk with me. What do you hope to get out of playing the campaign?  I enjoy a game where I can create a meaningful impact. I will fight if I must, but if there are other alternate routes that can be rewarding, or logical, then I will pursue them. I enjoy making new acquaintances, perhaps friends or a lover? At the end of the day I will stand beside my companions with devote resolution and not fail them. What makes you a good player? I believe what makes me a good player is the fact that I can be what my companions need me to be. I can remain steadfast, devout, loyal and courageous in danger. I can role play and fill the role of anything that may be needed. I am able to understand other players, their intentions and help them as needed. I am able to get along with anyone despite what they may believe. I can handle heated situations quite well and remain respectful even if times may be stressful and tense. What do you dislike in D&D? I can not stand metagaming whether it may be from the DM or players. I think it is more intuitive, fun and realistic to roleplay as if your character does or does not know things based upon what your character experiences, not what you the player knows. I dislike it when DM's seek to shut down players who are trying to do ingenious things, or who purposely try to box them in when they aren't doing what they want them to do. Part of the fun, in my opinion, is letting players play out their character and letting the fun shenanigans ensue. Can you handle mature content?  I am able to be mature and handle mature content. If a rowdy rapscallion Dwarf wants to get smashed on ale, motorboat a charlatan in an inn and streak naked through the town, then he may be my guest to do it, but I might lock him out of the inn room and let him learn a lesson the hard way. :) What do you expect from this campaign?  I expect for this game to be a fun circumstance that can create a fun atmosphere. I expect it to be a long-term bit of fun where I can enjoy myself as a player and meet new people as a person. I want to be part of the community and see the outcome of what we create together, whether it may be for better or for worse. What do you think about the rules? I think that the house rules are what the DM thinks is best. I am flexible to play however the rules may be. If I had a serious issue, I would do my best to wait until after the game to discuss it with the DM in private and not make a scene over it. What do you find to be fun about D&D? To me I find fun in D&D in every circumstance, but, at times when players dilly dally on purpose to ruin the fun for others it can be bothersome. In example for 3 sessions we're trying to get to the questing area, but a player is role play hogging the spotlight and wants to keep the glory to themselves making the party not have fun. That can be distasteful and ruin it for players in my humble opinion. Otherwise I enjoy playing and doing a bit of everything especially role playing even when in combat. What do you prefer playing in D&D? I enjoy playing anything that is needed as I can fit any role that my group needs me to. However, I mostly like playing a protector and being a stalwart companion for my friends. I have my comrades backs even if it meant my character died. What are some facts about yourself? I am a long time D&D player who enjoys role playing. I also enjoy video games too. I am quite the craftsman in real life and enjoy making things. I also enjoy midnight strolls with a sword on horseback charging down evil villains. Respectfully Yours, Lord Virdishon
Hi Tory!  Like many people I've picked up the game since quarantine as a DM for my friends, but I'd like to get some experience on the other side of the screen.  The main fun of the game for me is being creative and exploring the world through my character's eyes.  I'm happy to play anything, but have ideas for a human paladin or halfling warlock floating around.
Teal Mamba here, i'm a new player looking to get into DnD. Tho I have never played before I am willing and able to learn as much as possible.
My name is Chris and I got back into D&D in January after a 30+ year hiatus.  I've been looking for a regular group and have been thinking of playing a half-elf fighter.  I prefer a balance of role playing and combat encounters with most or all of the communications in character.  My goal is to find a long term group for the social interaction.
Hi all, I’m also a lapsed player with years of role play experience who might need a refresher on the newest rules.  I’d love to get in on a regular weeknight game. I will play just about any class, though I find the tanks a bit boring.  Also willing to do a paid game to get the best experience if necessary.  Please let me know what I need to do to be included!
Hey there! My name is Kermit, I’m 16 and fairly new to the D&D scene. I’ve never played a campaign of D&D before, but I’ve been roleplaying for years now (over text). I’m looking to play a tabaxi hopefully, and would like help figuring out a class fit for me and the race. I’m extremely keen on learning new things, and I’d love to get to know you more. Thank you so much for the opportunity! My discord is fromg#1987 if you’d like to get in contact with me to ask more questions. My timezone is EST.
