The Bleak and Dreary tones of the streets are washed away by the nostalgic glow of neon lights. Situated on the North Western coast of The United States, It's surrounded by a dense coniferous forest that houses all manor of beast, and hazards. That being said, the thickets outside the city are the least of anyone's worries these days. The serpent of corruption has coiled itself around our former bastions of justice, and valor, constricting them, extinguishing any hope light had left. Their corpses put on display in brick buildings pulsing with music and debauchery. A scene applauded by our youth, and Ignored by our elders. At some point you've crossed the veil, and seen this place for what it is. You've seen the creatures that go bump in the night, the buildings adorned with thorns and shadows, The façade your kind now puts up to participate in or manipulate society. With this a great power has awakened from within you, alongside it, a hunger. Nothing is free in this world, and your boon is no different, it seeks to consume the humanity you have left. Sacrifice is its obsession, and while you're all seemingly separate entities this hunger unites you, binds you with those on a similar journey. There are some who tow the line, keep themselves in check, and maintain their humanity against the mist's desires. Then there are others, who choose to embrace power, willfully be consumed by it in exchange for a taste of godhood.
