Uploaded Tokens Copying in Library

Hey , I 've had this issue arise before but it seemed to be patched out a while ago , or so I thought . Come today , it appears it has come back. When I upload an image to my library and then attempt to sort it into a folder, the image makes an identical copy of itself in my library, taking up twice the space and not auto filtering itself out, and can do this nigh infinitely. Typically, I upload about 20 variants of a token at a time, and having them essentially reupload themselves makes both sorting and searching a nightmare. A workaround is that I can just delete the new generated image every time I add it to my folder, but this isn't exactly optimal, especially when I know this is not the norm.  Thanks for any help.
This has been happening in my image library for a long time. I created a help request about it and had it looked into: I was told that they couldn't find out why the duplicate entry was appearing, but that it wasn't an actual copy of the file but just a duplicate link (just like the link's in the folders that I create are only links to the actual file), therefore it wasn't taking up any extra storage space.

Hi Arrek! Can you take a screen shot of where you are seeing duplicates? All original files "live" in Recent Uploads. Anything in the folder areas above is just an alias or link to the original file. Folders in the art library function a lot like tags. You aren't actually moving a file, just creating a sorting alias that points to it. Of course, if you are seeing duplicates in the bottom area, this might be another issue. You should be able to test each by placing them on the VTT, selecting them in turn and pressing Z, then right-clicking to open the image in a tab. you can check the URL. If they match, then it's the same graphic and not using any more space. If it's different, then it should be reported in a  Help Center Request . You can ignore the long string of numbers after the question mark, that is just a cache buster and does not reflect the actual image address.
Alright so, we start in Figure 1, where I have my folder open and empty, ready for me to put the tokens in. In Figure 2, I put the token in the folder, and the 'filter out' option is selected, meaning there is a duplicate. In Figure 3, I turn off the filter mode to confirm that there is a duplicate created. So, every time I move an upload to a folder for easy sorting and drag/dropping, it creates this duplicate. This means that I have two options if I want to continue putting more variations in the folder. 1. I have to check to make sure I don't make any duplicates in the folder itself (which, themselves, create extra duplicates in Recent Uploads), and from there, keep scrolling down because every token shoved in a folder refreshes the recent uploads list. Suboptimal, but possible if I don't have 20+ tokens. 2. I delete the extras generated. This is only 2 extra clicks per token, but the amount of time taken is multiplied by the amount of tokens, and I know this site is capable of a far speedier process, mostly because I've used it prior to this bug.
