Classic look/layout for the D&D 2024 character sheet

Score + 19
I know variants over this suggestion exists, but I wasn't able to find a concrete suggestion for this exactly. Can we please, please have a classic character sheet layout for the new rules, with the same functionality and customization availability as the 2014 sheet?
Yes please this! appreciate it would probably have to have some differences in the code behind it from the standard 2014 sheet, but having it as a custom sheet view (eg like compact) for the new sheet so can have both 2014 style and 2024 style in one room would be amazing!
+1
This please, I love the 2014 sheet and it would be great to see it brought forward
100% this. The 2014 sheet just worked perfectly. No need to change anything about it.
Also the default 2014 roll template should be an option for the 2024 sheet. It is far more readable than the new template.
Yes please! the D&D 5E for Roll20 (2014) sheet may have its issues, but so much of it is easy to customise, and more importantly everything other than the spell list is right there  in front of the user instead of being buried under drop-downs and submenus.
Yes to this please! I would love and appreciate having something visually simple to roll from that gives little fuss for us who like to tinker with our sheets. I was actually looking forward to the simplified 2024 sheet PDF  being turned into a Roll20 template , but to my disappointment it didn't happen. Hopefully this can be reconsidered, assuming there isn't one already in the works?
Having the 2024 sheet converted to the 2014 sheet would be great. As far as I can tell, the only advantage to the 2024 character sheet is the ability to accept drag and drop compendium entries from 2024 books. Can we get a 2014 sheet that accepts 2024 compendium drops? The 2014 character sheet is cleaner and much more compact. And the roll templates for the 2024 sheet are awful. They take up a huge amount of space in the chat entries section (especially with multiple damage types), and you can't even see the code that went into them by pressing the up arrow in the chat input. Worst of all, inline commands don't work in any text boxes of the 2024 roll templates. They aren't evaluated and just show up as the same text entered originally (i.e. they would display "Bob rolled: [[1d20+@{dexterity_mod}]]" instead of "Bob rolled: 18"). This makes it impossible to work around them to try to save space and get a more compact roll.
The developers have been clear on that the old 2014 sheet is made and patched in so many ways that it will never be compatible with the 2024 rules, that is made with a new framework. So a classic layout would have to be created for the 2024 sheet and rules. That said, I know it is a strong wish from many people. It might also help sending a request about this via the help pages.
+1 The old sheet may not be compatible, but basically asking for a new sheet to be made, for the 2024 rules, but visually and functionally be like the 2014 sheet.  Even better if you can drag and drop 2014 and 2024 items from your compendium onto the same sheet. (Shouldn't be a hard ask, as the 2014 sheet has a few variations already as a example)

I will admit that the layout of the 2024 sheet looks more modern even if a character sheet takes up most of the screen for many of my players.
I'll take "functional" before "modern" any day. ;) Oginme said: I will admit that the layout of the 2024 sheet looks more modern even if a character sheet takes up most of the screen for many of my players.
Seconded! Or at least it would be great to have an option that isn't automatically dark mode (said as a person who has trouble reading white on dark grey/black text)

Install the Stylus extension for your browser and then this style:&nbsp; <a href="https://userstyles.world/style/21061/temporary-light-mode-for-roll20-dd2024" rel="nofollow">https://userstyles.world/style/21061/temporary-light-mode-for-roll20-dd2024</a> Still prefer the classic look though.
