Now Casting for an edited tabletop show using the City of Mist Engine

🌆 Now Casting Players for a Cinematic City of Mist Actual-Play Show 🌆 Are you a storyteller at heart? Do you crave rich character arcs, meaningful choices, and a narrative that hits as hard as a noir monologue? Then step out of the fog and into the spotlight I'm  building a new edited TTRPG show , and I'm looking for players ready to bring the City to life. 🌟 The Hook: The City is dying not physically, but spiritually. Something has begun  eating at the fabric of the Mist , thinning it and letting  too much truth  bleed through. Reality flickers. Mythos bleed into the streets, and even Sleepers are beginning to dream in ways that can kill. The balance between Mythos and Logos that invisible line every Rift walks is breaking. At the center of it all sits a  secret council of Avatars , once dedicated to keeping the equilibrium between the ordinary and the legendary. Now, they’re divided, paranoid, and on the edge of war. The crew is drawn into the middle of it whether as pawns, rebels, or the next generation of gods. Every season reveals another layer of conspiracy, memory, and betrayal until the truth behind the Mist itself is uncovered. In  a city where legends walk in human skin, your character’s past is a loaded gun and I want this show to pull the trigger. Your ambitions will shape the narrative. Your relationships will become plotlines. Your choices will echo through every alley, rooftop, and smoky bar of the Mist. 🎙️ About the Show This will be an amateur, edited actual-play series using City of Mist , focusing on: Character driven narratives Mystery, myth, and personal stakes Stylized action with minimal mechanical slowdown A grounded, emotional tone balanced with the cinematic surreal Think urban legend meets personal drama, wrapped in the aesthetic of street-level mythmaking. 🎭 About the GM The game will be run by a GM who places collaborative storytelling at the heart of every session. Expect: Encounters built around choice, consequence, and sacrifice A focus on action and tension rather than constant combat integration of your character’s relationships, ambitions, and personal ghosts into the story A rules light, momentum first style intense scenes won’t grind to a halt for number checking A GM who loves when players go beyond the stat block, crafting characters with depth, history, and evolving arcs A flair for voices and dramatic beats (imperfect, but always committed) 🎬 Who I'm Looking For We want players who: Love deep character work and collaborative worldbuilding Are excited to create relationships and shared history , not strangers in a bar Enjoy roleplay forward play with room to explore emotions Thrive in stories featuring  mystery, noir grit, and mythic resonance Are comfortable being part of an edited and audio recorded production Bring reliability, enthusiasm, and a willingness to help create something truly special 📝 Apply Here
I'm noticing there's a real lack of compensation being mentioned. We both know the show is being made to be monetized. You're hiring actors, they should be paid.
If the show were to make money an equal percentage would be divided amongst the players, but it's going on a channel with literally 6 subscribers and not eligible for monetization. This is absolutely a passion project. while im looking for people to "act" that's what we're all doing here.. if i wanted professional level acting and to make money i wouldn't be on roll20 looking for it. I don't know what info you're reading but actual plays especially amateur ones which of there are 10s of thousands don't make any money... it's just a fun way to express creativity and share with others, or to use for reference or a portfolio of sorts.
You may want to consider saying that somewhere in your About the Show section. I think when most people see "Actual Play Show", they think about the more famous ones in which the players/actors do get compensated. Cool idea and I wish you luck :) Aaron S. said: If the show were to make money an equal percentage would be divided amongst the players, but it's going on a channel with literally 6 subscribers and not eligible for monetization.
