Adding multiple copies of a creature from a Compendium

I am running a Pathfinder 2nd Edition Game. For an encounter I am setting up, I want to use the "Cultist" from the compendium as a base, then tweak the stats on the character sheet, rather than creating something from scratch. My issue is, when I drag 3 different icons for cultists onto the sheet, and modify one, they all pick up the same modification. How can I pull distinct copies from the compendium and edit them, or clone a copy that I can modify?
She you put the token onto the map, open the token settings to the Bar values and make sure that whichever attributes you don’t want shared across all copies of the character are set to ‘none’. If a Bar is linked to an attribute, then updating one character will update all of them.  You may also want to pull out a Cultist from the Compendium, then rename it and make modifications, such as ‘Burly Cultist’ that has more hit points and a stronger attack. Then pull out another Cultist from the Compendium and rename it ‘Spellcasting Cultist’ and give it more spells or whatever.  When you have a cultist token on the VTT and several different cultist characters in the Journal, make sure that each token is linked to the correct cultist character as well.

Each time that you drag the NPC from the compendium onto the map, a token is created on the map and a character sheet is added to the journal. When you drag the same NPC from the compendium again it simply creates another token that is still linked to the first character sheet. As Jarren described, you can edit the name of the NPC on that NPC's character sheet (not just the token)  before dragging another copy from the compendium. What I do instead is after dragging the NPC from the compendium, I open the NPC character sheet, select "Edit" at the top, then click on  the "Duplicate" button. This creates a new character sheet called "Copy of <NPC name>". I keep clicking "Duplicate" for each version of that NPC that I want to make. Once that's done, I open each of those new character sheets and make the modifications that  I want. You'll also need to open the "Edit" screen for each of those new NPC's character sheets and make sure that their default tokens are linked to the proper new character sheet (the "Duplicate" function does not reassign the duplicate's token to the new character sheet). Also also as Jarren mentioned, verify which token bars you want linked to an NPC's character sheet. For example, I always use Bar 1 for hit points, so I preset the Bar 1 "current" and "max" values and don't link them; that way when I apply damage to one copy of that NPC token they don't all change. Also, you can preset some of this under the Game Setting  menu that is accessed from your game's home page so that when an NPC is pulled from a compendium it's token bars are already linked properly: Alan W. said: I am running a Pathfinder 2nd Edition Game. Thank you for the quick responses. I will be putting in some serious time tomorrow setting up a session and this will be a huge help!
