It would help to be able to set the site clock to the 24 hour system - considering the 12AM and 12PM confusion and the fact that people from different continents play here. Thanks!
I'm pretty surprised there is no option to select 24h clock. While this is not critical, this has to be done.
I'm not sure if my +1 is AM or PM, but this is still something we need. I often game with my military buddies, and we don't even USE the 12-hour clock format. We literally have to take an extra conversion step to change the regular (24-hour) time into 12-hour format.
+1. we have an international community here. let's be as accommodating as possible. also, some of us americans prefer 24 hr clock also (me).
Seriously, not having decent support for this in an app that wants to be accessible is mindboggling.
I'm in for this.
And you could even offer several ways to display the date and time when you're at it (since it's the same thing on the coding side) like displaying the day before the month. That would be cool.
+1
You are already doing the mind-breakingly hard work of translating the DateTime to my timezone.
Compared to that, a 24 hour clock is almost laughably trivial and easy thing. A boolean value in most output or ToString() functions.
+1
For the Love of everything that make sense, give us a 24h clock...
After over 10 years, one would expect basic functionality like this would have been implemented already -.-
the earth rotates once in 24h. The only reason this times been divided into 2 12s is cuz u cant divide 60 by 24. 24h format is THE time. Why hasnt this been done yet? No1s confused if 17 is in the afternoon, or in the morning. No1s confused if 0 is midnight, or noon. Theres 18 countries left using the obsolete 12h format. Out of almost 200. Could u stop being narrow-minded and self-centered?
This is still a problem. I'm from Europe. I play with people on multiple continents. International standard please.
I'm happy to support this -- I'm always struggling across time zones, and this is at least one step in the right direction.
Anyone ready to vote that all times are in Zulu time, so there's no arithmetic to figure out when something is happening?

This would not eliminate any arithmetic; most people (that I know) will still need to convert to their local time. The best solution would be to have the site automatically display the listed time according to the individual user's local time zone. This would of course require that all users record their local time zone in their account info.

This is what Roll20 currently already does, Rick. They get your Local Time Zone setting from your computer (which your Browser has access to that) so that's why people don't have to specifically set it for their Roll20 account. It shows the Times of the computer that is reading Roll20. This applies on the LFG (Join a Group), on Next Game Time, and on Community Forums.

Huh. Of course it does. I let myself get mislead (my fault for not thinking it through) by the comment about everyone using Zulu time (UTC) so that no one needs to do time zone conversions. Obviously Valerie M. was referring to the time listed in a game's advertisement, not the time generated by the site.
As for using a 24 hour clock instead of AM/PM, this suggestion already has my vote. If people have trouble with it, make the time display (and date format too for that matter) selectable in the account settings.
