Sean L. said: "I do not think a policy is needed, the retention rate is already very low for games." I'm sorry to beat a dead horse here but you know what will make your retention go even lower? If people show up to games that don't run because one or more people didn't show up without notice. Who's going to get butthurt if you make a policy about not showing up for games? It's certainly not the people who show up to their games baring an extreme obstacle (like the internet being down or someone's leg being burnt off). It's not like I'm talking about a zero tolerance, first time and there's the door thing. Just something that lets folks know that missing games is something that should be minimized and will be noticed. Everybody misses games. I've missed games. Things come up. I've never been in such a dire situation where I can't get to a computer to let folks know I won't be there but I could see where it could happen. I'm not really sure why you're calling yourself a guild if you're not going to manage things like this. I think it's more accurate to say this group is a meetup. Alright, I'll shut up now. So, what kind of policy do you have in mind? I will add a Guild rules sticky, we can discuss the matter further threre.
