[5e Shaped] v2.1.13 Live

I thought I might have seen this in the other threads, but I can't seem to find it. Is anyone having issues with the sheet always reopening in edit mode instead of presentation mode? I have the update right before the one Kryx just uploaded. I've tried it in Chrome and Firefox. And I've refreshed the game and everything. Every time I open a character sheet, it opens in edit mode. And this is on freshly made PC sheets.  Main sorry if there was a response to this earlier and I missed it.

I am having trouble, in that the trash icon to delete a field from a sheet does not seem to work, so I cannot delete anything from a sheet once it is placed.
Kryx, I like the additional of the class specific resources and I suspect we will not the generic repeating section once they have all been added.  You could consider leaving it so people could build homebrew or unique things to their campaign.  If it is removed, I am sure people will fund another way around if they need to.

I have had that problem too but It seems to be a delay, because if I wait a second or two then press it deleted it.  I don't think it has anything to do with the sheets but it's just part of the Roll20 site.
Kryx! Your contributors want to know (at least one does): Do you prefer patreon over paypal because of the recurring nature or is there a better financial situation with them? For instance, does Paypal take a bigger cut? I'm wondering if instead of sending you $50 to help compensate for all your front end work if it would be better to raise the patreon donation for one month and then drop it back down.
Is it just me or is Lay on Hands showing up on the fighter, not the paladin?

What happens for me is that a sheet will get "stuck", with the pencil button failing to redraw the sheet appropriately. If I push the pencil button while in edit mode, the pencil button itself changes, but the sheet stays in edit mode. If a shut the sheet and re-open, the sheet will now be in presentation mode. If I click the pencil button again, it changes but the rest of the sheet doesn't, again, until I close and re-open it. This behaviour seems to persist for a while for a character once it starts happening (perhaps until the VTT is refreshed? not sure, sorry) It feels like an event is getting lost/swallowed, and from how randomly it happens, I wonder if it might actually be a roll20 bug rather than a problem with the sheet... I have never seen the sheet always open in edit mode .. Huh. I wonder if it has to do with internet speed or any other factors. The only way I could ensure it on my end is make presentation mode the default (which would require users to hit edit when creating a new character). That'd be better than it always opening in edit though.. Let me know if it persists and I can switch to presentation as the default. @James/Black Falcon: Delete buttons : Like above I've never seen this behavior. It could be internet speed or Roll20 lag. The only way the sheet could possibly cause this is if there was some script stuff running, but that should be rare as I cannot trigger any script stuff on modify so it would've had to be an unrelated change. @Michael: Ya, we'll see what is needed after Class Features is complete. Quick note on the reasoning behind removing resources: In the past players using the sheet in very different ways can cause problems for maintainability. From a usability perspective things like resources should exist at the same place as equipment/armor/etc and not require storing data about something in 2 places. We'll see what we end up with though. @Robert: PayPal and Patreon are largely the same. Patreon takes 5% and then goes to PayPal, but that margin is definitely made up by the fact that many people wouldn't remember to donate on a regular monthly basis so I'm inclined to say Patreon, if kept up, is a better value for me. Beyond that it also looks good to others to see people contributing whereas PayPal is hidden (though I've received much more there). TL;DR: If a person wants to give a one time contribution PayPal is probably better. If a person wants to commit to a monthly amount then Patreon is better. PS: Thanks for all the contributors that I've received so far. It has definitely made me feel like my work on this sheet is valued (at <$1/hr... just kidding :P). Seriously, thanks for everyone who has contributed. @Robert: Lay on hands is definitely set to be fighter toggled right now. These features are in a very rough state. You can see that I'm experimenting with several different UI choices as well. Lay on Hands for instance has the box title clickable like much of the rest of the sheet whereas Sneak Attack is a Button. Not sure what is best especially since if Sneak Attack were a title there would be nothing else in the box. Perhaps each class should have a box with features shown as capital light gray text (see equipment titles).

Optical error: when enabling Hide_attack or Hide_damage, a) Hide_damage. 1, resp. Hide_attack. 1 is displayed in the roll template b) The GM's view is messed up, it left-aligns attacks and damage instead of centering, and puts things into 2 lines instead of 1.

Took some time to work on template formatting fields instead of referencing fields. Noticed one issue - Spell template "ritual" doesn't seem to be added to spells when rolled. Manually adding {{ritual=1}} seems to work though. Tried to find out if this behavior is a bug or working as designed but Attachers to saves work fine if you click the save from the character sheet core page or use the Saving Throws macro from the settings page; if you use the Saving Throws Query macro from the settings page or when dragged to the macro bar it fails to attach the attachers to the roll template.&nbsp;

From the previous thread (Bold is my highlight): 2.1.11 Added "Sneak Attack" and "Divine Smite" features on the character page. These can be adjusted for houserules. I plan to attach these to attacks (player can choose to add it or not), but for now you can use them by adding the following to freetext under an attack: "[Sneak Attack](~NAME|sneak_attack)" or "[Divine Smite](~NAME|divine_smite)" Added chat macros and query macros for saving throws and ability checks. Query macros do not and cannot take into account roll settings or attachers. Chat macros work 100%.

Those query limitations are a problem of queries and cannot be resolved as far as I'm aware. @Vanakoji: I'll fix ritual output in the roll template soon. 2.1.16 Lay on Hands now triggers off Paladin as expected Fixed hide info for NPC attack and damage. One thing to think about is adding a text box we can fill to the class actions, to be outputted when you click it. That way we can add a description if we want and you don't have to worry about whether it's in the SRD.

On all the ones in the SRD the text will be included. I've been debating how to do this exactly.. Ideally it should be in a tooltip (like warlock spell slots) and able to be output. But you don't necessarily want to output the whole text always...
I heard someone mention a feature where the token actions are automatically populated for new monsters. is this a thing?

As a Pro user, you could use the script I wrote for the Shaped-Sheet that can help with it. &nbsp;While it isn't automatic on populating the sheet, you could setup a few quick and easy macros to get the things you want created as token actions quickly and easily. <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3044595/script-t" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3044595/script-t</a>... I have come across a use case for Passive skill values. &nbsp;The Observant Feat grants a +5 bonus to passive Perception and Investigation checks. &nbsp;Unless I am missing something this is not a feature the sheet can display natively

Correct. And adding passive perception does not fix that as passive insight is left out in the cold still.
Could it be possible to add a field in the spells for the class it belongs to? It could be useful when choosing prepared spells for a multiclass character

Regarding roll options for the query buttons. I can understand attachers but isn't roll options possible, at least at the moment? I don't mind as I understand queries has limitations in roll 20 but this one has sparked my interest regarding the sheet code as I have never worked with such code so I am just curious about this more than anything. As far as I can tell, roll options can work (in the current global state) with one attribute being set to a value based on the roll option. As I am unfamiliar with the code to edit too much I made one change. I added in {{@{query_roll_setting_test}}} Note: using the correct character replacements into the html for the rolls for the "saving_throw_query_var" that the saving throw query button uses. Then since I am not sure how to make that a attribute or set it in the code, I manually added the "query_roll_setting_test" attribute to the character sheet and set it to one of the 4 following options based on the possible roll options at the moment. advantage=1 disadvantage=1 ?{Advantage?|Normal Roll,only_roll_1=1|Advantage,advantage=1|Disadvantage,disadvantage=1} only_roll_1=1 Note: using the correct character replacements While I can understand this would become a pain with any changes to roll options in the future and therefore most likely is not worth it to do when it will break easily, if one attribute can be set to one of the above values when selecting an roll option, then isn't roll options possible at the moment as manually setting it to those values worked? Just curious on this one as it could very well be setting it to one of those values is the issue.&nbsp; EDIT: Thinking about it again before bed (so didn't test) couldn't you pretty much do the same thing just by putting one of the roll possibilities on the button press instead of in the query mess with replacing character? Again, something that I could see easy to break as changes to the sheet at some point can cause issues with quiries in the future, but looking into out of curiosity it seems possible in the current state.

Exp is a different field called "exp" though it should update on pb change. Though that kind of editing is unsupported and things may not work properly.
Another suggestion, nothing important. Could the &nbsp;NPC's skills with proficiency/expertise be bolded? It's useful to know what are the best skills of a monster with just a quick glance. The MM achieves that with only listing the proficiencies.

Hmm... although actually bolding the proficient ones is a nice compromise between the "I want to be able to have the skills available to roll even if they're not proficient" and "I only want to see the important ones" camps - both of whom are quite vocal about their positions!

Apologies if this has been covered already - I had a quick look through this and past threads and couldn't find it obviously - but why do healing options come under traits rather than actions for NPCs? So far I've only found heal listed as an action (e.g. on the Solar) - but you can't put healing in as an action on the sheet ATM...

Healing is on traits for PCs. Traits are the same for PCs and NPCs. It can be added to NPC actions.

I like this class features idea. Clever and flexible. &nbsp; Second Wind improvement requests: - In output, show that it takes a bonus action - Add some way of tracking whether it's been used - some kind of toggle. There may be several sessions between short rests and people don't remember what they've used. There seems to be an issue with equipment. I cannot delete the last, empty line. - Add an equipment line - Drag in a potion of healing - Click modify - Delete the last line - Line is deleted and then immediately recreated with qty 1 and weight 0 If you can't reproduce, I'll see that I can take video of it doing that.

Last item is known. It causes issues for armor and spells. For second wind I'll use the same 1/1 or 0/1 system as other stuff. Still lots of turmoil on class features - I'm trying to determine what the best way to lay them out is. I'm thinking something like resources with the name and uses next to it.
Small request. - Could the field for current hp @{hp} become capitalized @{HP} so that it appears towards the top of the list when setting bars on a token? A nice to have so it is quicker to set a token to hp and then to none to quickly set the hp bar without it affected the sheet when using multiple creatures.

2.1.17 Clean up class features - add more for fighter and paladin. Still a large work in progress AC and HP capitalized
Just noticed something: When you drag in a cloak of protection from the compendium, it's set to light armor. This is not optimal, as that will give characters with a positive DEX bonus more than +1 to AC, and those with negative DEX bonus a negative bonus to AC. Setting it to "armoured and unarmoured" makes it behave correctly.&nbsp;

I cannot fix that without revamping how armor items are dragged from the SRD since Item Type is put into a select which has a set number of options and cannot apply to any other not in the list. Since it's not blocking and is such a rare case I'm going to leave it as is and expect users to fix it.
1) Is it possible to make an API script that just goes through everything in your character journal and turns on Break Initiative Ties? 2) Anyone want to write it? :)
Is it a known issue that Shaped v2.1.13 breaks pretty much everything in the character sheet? On Friday 3/4 I went through my player's PCs to ensure they were working (We've been having problems last few weeks going from ROll20 sheet to OGL sheet and then to Shaped sheet. When I check them tonight the following problems were encountered: - Class and level are missing. Now I have to manually "Add" the class and level - All spells are gone, replaced with blank spell cards - All Skills are missing. I see the "Skills" text, but there is no box underneath it.&nbsp; - Hit Points did not carry over from the previous version of the sheet - "Features and Traits" is now deprecated. Where do I put all the info that was in this field? (I have a LOT in it) - Weapons, equipment, money, and items from the old sheet are missing on the new sheet - Character traits like Darkvision did not carry over to the new sheet - Class abilities didn't copy over, like Jack of all Trades and Halfling Luck So basically, I have to re-create all my player's characters from nearly scratch. Is there a way to not accept the new sheet and go back to the previous working version? I didn't change any of the game's setting to accept the new sheet.&nbsp; Thanks!
How does Break Initiative Ties work? I notice that the group initiative script doesn't work with it and I'm guess that's because the initiative field remains unchanged.

Yes, the re-shaped sheet changes pretty much everything. There will eventually be a conversion mechanism built into the sheet via sheetworkers, but it doesn't exist yet. You can ask roll20 support if they will switch you back to the legacy shaped sheet (which still exists because there is no conversion, as you have seen, but can no longer be manually selected).

@Roland: It seems you may have saved your campaign settings somehow which caused you to accept the new sheet - that is the only way that I know would cause this. You'll have to PM roll20 to revert you. This is their system. @Robert initiative tie breaker is part of the roll, not part of the field. &lt;button type="roll" name="roll_initiative" value="@{initiative_output_option} &{template:5e-shaped} {{ability=1}} {{character_name=@{character_name}}} @{show_character_name} {{title=Initiative}} {{subheader=Ability Check}} {{roll_toggle=1}} {{only_roll_1=1}} @{initiative_roll}@{d20_mod} + @{initiative_to_tracker} + @{initiative_tie_breaker}]]}} @{attacher_initiative}"&gt; You'll have to ask Aaron about group initiative. If it only takes the field then it won't work with tie breaker currently.
