Looking for Dark Hersey GM

mark r. said: i'm a arbitrator so i might have to keep you in check then Hehehe sounds like fun. I think I will be a gunslinger. Be one deadly shot with a pistol but not be able to use anything but pistol and melee. So my damage will not be as high unless I use to pistols. Which I plan to do that. My character surviving the Beast House on Gunmetal City will have the ability to tell a mutant and a xeno apart. As I got forbidden lore mutants.
just had a read of the IH and my home world will be Sinophian with Decayed Society replace one of Imperial World traits the blessed ignorance
Yeah I am replacing my Accustomed to Crowds trait. Which in my option is not really that good of a skill for me. As I not going be charging. If I am running it so I can go from cover to cover making it harder for the enemies to hit me. Also I do believe you got both Blighted Origins and Decayed Society. Also you will be losing the Superior Origins as well. Which unless you really want to have high willpower. I would not worry about the +3 that skill gives you. Which I have to say. Getting 4 free skills at the cost of 3 willpower is a good deal. That a good 600 free xp worth of skills. Which looking at your starting world. Seems like you will loose an extra 3 willpower from Blight Origins. Good news is you can make up 3 of the missing willpower with The Red Vaults of Luggnum backgroup for 100 xp. Which we all start with 400 free xp to spend. I have to say the The Red Vaults of Luggnum is very good. As you get the Jaded skill for free. On top of the 3 willpower. FYI Arbitrators can not buy Jaded normally. Which Jade is a very good passive to resist most of the fear checks in the game.
Check this out. http://rogue-trader.wikispaces.com/file/view/Dark_Heresy_Sheet_3p_Editable2.pdf/381095406/Dark_Heresy_Sheet_3p_Editable2.pdf We can now make a full character sheet.

Awesome!
I don't think we've heard from our (possible) GM yet, so I'm not sure if I should go ahead with the Sororitas idea. And actually, if we've already got an arbitrator and a gunslinger-type, I imagine they can handle the heavy lifting in a fight, so maybe I'll make an adept instead. They can get medical skills at rank 4, too...

It funny I just notice the subject has been misspelled. Lol Maybe that might be why we are not getting a GM. They must not want to GM for Dark Hersey. Lol I am just being silly.
oops
If we can't find a GM I can give it a shot, I know the rules fairly well and have started playing in a Only War campaign so I kinda know what to do, these two games being very similar. But, that being said, I still think having someone with more experience would be a better idea.
Yeah. I been posting on other forums and tweeter trying to find another GM. Shame I found someone who lived in EU but they could only do it around 10 am my time. Which is like 1 pm eastern.

Man, I would love to GM Dark Heresy. It looks like a ton of fun from what I have seen on itmejp's channel, interesting universe. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no prior exposure with Warhammer and its very hard to find games to play in so I can start building a foundation. Someday

Just like on ItmeJP channel. There GM is new to the GM thing as well. We seem to have the basic understanding of it. We just need the story. The rules seem pretty straight forward.
I've been reading the rule book all day, and I think I could probably pull off being a GM. If you guys want we can do a test run for one session and see if it works or not.
Chas B. said: I've been reading the rule book all day, and I think I could probably pull off being a GM. If you guys want we can do a test run for one session and see if it works or not. Sure. Do we want to grab a 5th or just go with the 4 of us? I am good any day but Tuesday. Sunday it will have to be after 7pm your time. 4 pm my time.
I think the hardest part will be making a campaign. As a trial run. We could use one of these two demo/free Campaigns. Shattered Hope http://fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=142 Edge of Darkness http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/dark-heresy/pdf/edge-of-darkness-(web).pdf . As long as you have a GM kit. With a campaign story. I think you should be fine. To any Mods that might want to remove these links. These are free. No Piracy with these. They are Demo kits. So please do not get ban/delete happy.
Let me know how it goes I'm starting up an Only War game this Friday. Still fairly new to Roll20 but I'm getting the hang of it.
I think a 5th would be a good idea, I can grab someone off the other forum post. I am open to any day but Sunday, I have only war that day. So everyone post what day and time works best for you and I'll make sure you get an invite. In the meantime I will read those two campaigns. Thanks for the links Doom.
NP. Anything to help you out with your first time GM. People can add me to Skype through VenomDemme@live.com. So we can talk and plan. This cat and mouse chat on forums is a bit hard to set stuff up. Yeah So I am good for any day but Tuesday. Any time works for me. I am very flexible. Let you know if my other campaign changes date a head of time but right now we are sticking with Tuesday,
Unless it has changed I guess the group will be. . Daniel S. mark r. Pavlos S me and one more. At less I know Daniel and Mark are commited. Pavlos has not replied in a while. Also does anyone mind if I Stream this and post this on Youtube? My channel may not be big but I am able to upload long videos.
Hey, Alex P. just posted elseforum, looking for a Dark Heresy game. Just FYI. Also, I work till 4 PM PST on weekdays, so the earliest I could make it would be 4:30 PST. Weekends would probably work better here. Also also, I think I'm going with an adept after all. I just had an idea for one.

I would love to play if possible. It does really depend on which day we are playing. Tuesday,Thursday,Friday are good for me,any time past 3:40 PM EST.
Well both those times work perfect. 4:30 PST is about 7:30 eastern. I do believe we have our group then.
Oh, and if we're going with a weekday, Friday would be my preference. I'm not sure how many hours per session we're thinking of doing, but at least I don't have to get up for work on Saturday morning...
4 hours is the recommended play length. I think it also recommend 300 - 500 xp for those 4 hours. Still it all flexible how many hours we do and how much xp we get.
Okay, my void-born adept is about half done--will finish tomorrow. I've gotta say, this is one of the easier games to make characters for that I've ever played. (Numenera's still the easiest, but anyway.) When I'm done, would somebody more knowledgeable mind taking a look to make sure I did it right, though?
i would like to play also if you don't mind a new player
Soooo, what is our group so far?
if i get in i am going to be a feral guardsman

When you're done you can send it to me to look over. In fact I want to look over everyone's character sheet before we get started.

which character sheet do you want filled in

What does the group look like so far and are there any rules for character creation? Rules are so far just characters from the Core handbook and IH. We expect you to be fair. Not wanting to see a character with a perfect 38 across the board. 1 to 2 high level skills is fine. Most of my skills are in the low 30's. With my toughness got a super bad roll at 20. This website has a nice dice roller http://www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/Default.aspx . If you want to use it to build up the basics. For the group I feel we should use these sheets. http://rogue-trader.wikispaces.com/file/view/Dark_Heresy_Sheet_3p_Editable2.pdf/381095406/Dark_Heresy_Sheet_3p_Editable2.pdf Easy to past to the GM and easy to edit. We are not using Blood of Martyrs and Demon Hunters. Only using Core book and inquisitor's handbook. If you plan to make a sister of Battle from inquisitor's handbook. You will need to ask the GM if it is ok.
stupid question is my literacy skill +10 because i have it as a basic as will as advances
What character are you making?
arbitrator with Liturgical Familiarity form Imperial World
No it still the basic Literacy level. They do not stake and the game does say on profile they are both basic skills.
fine
sorry man. Did not mean to bust your bubble. Though I am not the GM. The GM might let it stack.
don't worry about it
Well let you know. My character can not read. :P I have to spend 300 xp to learn how to read. Which is a lot of xp. Be happy you are not having to spend 300 xp to learn how to read.
it cost me 200 for my back ground with the extra skill and int points
what background are you using? Literacy is a basic skill for your class. You should not have to spend any xp for it.
The Calixian Pattern Killings that give me inquiry and plus 5 to Intelligence or Perception i chossen int
Cool. Nice start. Seems like you will be our detective. :P it was funny on my weapons. I put knight and not knife by mistake. Lol Can see it know. I throw my Knight at you. *summons a space marine.* lol Now I am just being silly.
I'll be probably making a cleric. Haven't played one in forever.
Cool. Just remember to send your character sheet to the GM.
I'm not sure if we clarified it, but we're using point-buy, right? I tried finding anything, but after a bit my eyes started to hurt.
