What Campaigns are you guys running and how are they going?

that does look like a dundjinni map except for the you are here marker
I am currently running a spelljammer campaign that has been running for about 6 months in which the second inhuman wars are beginning. At the same time each of the major sphere ( krynnspace, realmsspace, and greyspace are suffering major wars. with dragonlance suffering the war of the lance. Forgotten realms is suffering the wars in tethyr and thay, and greyhawk is suffering the war with vecna and iuz. I am beginning work on a project that will make AD&D 2nd edition ready for a modern zombie apocalypse game.
Also I have made top down icon for all spelljammer ships if anyone is interested send me a PM. Below is an example

Solynod Hex is still at 6 players and holding. Having roleplaying bonuses really helps with player retention and keeps them interested in the story and conversation. Currently building a wiki-like encyclopedia made of inter-linked handouts and building up my database of wizard and priest spell macros and psionic powers, as well as my bestiary. With the systems I have created, I can instantly roll up random encounters in wilderness, dungeon encounters, and instantly roll treasure without picking up a book. Roll20 is a very powerful tool. I'm glad it has graced my campaign. :D Here's the latest session. https://youtu.be/yBRnZXYDoJg?list=PLV0EY59qUHY-sq0...
Gargamond said: wizard and priest spell macros and psionic powers Somehow I think a decent AD&D sheet would result in not having to write custom macros for spells. Just looking at the 5e Community Edition's way of handling spells, I am jealous :P In fact, I hate both of the 2e sheets so much, it might reach the point of me buying a month (or year, don't know where fate will take me) of Pro just to write a custom sheet for my Masque of the Red Death campaign (which, by the way, has not started).
My campaign is currently in its 5th month (started July 16, 2016) and i finally have a chance to run some level appropriate adventures for the party..we recently started the sequel adventure arc of my launch arcs... Gargamond said: Solynod Hex is still at 6 players and holding. :D Here's the latest session. https://youtu.be/yBRnZXYDoJg?list=PLV0EY59qUHY-sq0... as for spells, how are you using macros for them? I was toying with the idea of using something similar to the Official Decks of spells for mages and priests (i don't use psionics) but i don't have enough space to implement the decks..trying to come up with a system so i am not constantly checking the books

I'll make one for you and post a link here later. You have to utilize the collections tab.
no what i did is take the map from the back of the original cards and stack them and color them in gimp

My Friday night game seems to be going well. PCs just cleared the first level of the moathouse and captured the bandits with an especially well-timed sleep spell. Not too shabby.

Slugo said: Im an experienced Player and DM looking to jump in on a campain and play in a 2nd edition world preferably Forgotten Realms. New to roll 20 so want to see how others throw it together to make it better for their groups so I can do the same for mine. I am in PST but am available most anytime really, just hit me up and Ill let you know, may have a few others interested in joining if you would want, but mainly just me. We all come from a strong background in 2nd edition gaming in the 90s.
My first DM attempt in Roll20, Song of Soravia , is going to hit the 13th session this Saturday, March 25th. We started out with an admittedly ambitious 12 players, played a while with 9, but have now settled down at 6 of the original regular folks, which is apparently par for the course on Roll 20. Kind of up in the air whether we need 1 or 2 more players, we're playing that by ear. A homebrew campaign based in the far north of the Forgotten Realms, I tailored it to the "ask" of the community as much as possible, based on the answers to this survey: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3031457/New-Survey Our awesome playerbase has progressed to an average of 5th level; they've been able to be promoted in their job description(s), uncovered plots against the crown, solved mysteries and uncovered new ones, saved the town (and the beet harvest) from dastardly beet gnomes, completely bought out the local pipeweed shoppe in an insane bid for Find Familiar Incense (he got an Air Gen , go figure), averted a war, coined the phrase "The Osiris Maneuver," rescued damsels and non-damsels, befriended local sewer workers, gotten stoned with Myconids, authorized extraordinary interrogation methods that involved angry sharp-toothed goats, planned the comical demise/comeuppance of certain racist townspeople, and that's just during the "main" sessions on Saturday nights. A well-balanced blend of seriousness and fun, I think. In one-on-one sessions we've explored individual character's personal goals, reinforced NPC relationships, and even undertaken full side quests that may or may not have coincided with the interests of the greater party as a whole - each player is an individual and has full reign to do whatever they want in this campaign, within reason and within my abilities to ad-lib through a session. In the non-playing "downtime" several characters have built fledgling businesses, made preliminary land purchases, gone deep into debt, expanded buildings & built new ones, and even patented their own inventions. Some of this is nonweapon-proficiency-based, and some of it is pure RP. These lead to a modicum of "passive income" which should serve them well when they need funding for things in later levels. Like bribes for bureaucrats. Or raising an army to protect against the unholy minions of marauding ancient evil deities. (Not that that could happen, that's just silly...) There's even a local paper/newsletter which reports on goings-on in Thimble, the main town of Soravia where the players are currently based. Its coverage is not always flattering, and is frequently sensationalistic. We're currently headed into the deep roads / underdark equivalent in order to make sure a particular ally (ally?) is secure, which will quite possibly lead to a major campaign thread/adventure designed as a deep dungeon crawl where the players might not see daylight for several weeks. (Of course, it's up to them: at any point they might say "screw this noise, let's go back and have a beer and check up on our businesses.") Quite literally, none of this would be possible without Roll20 and a really great bunch of players, their interactions just make this campaign hum. I think we all have 5+ hours of fun every week, I hope it's as entertaining for them as it is for me. I'll keep planning out the week's action, adding background content, and whipping up new maps until I run out of ideas... or manage to kill everyone off.
sounds like fun so i take you use player options too would love to pick your mind as i just joined roll20 and hope to run campaigns starting this fall i am playing 1e atm i see you run your own stuff as do i (with my RL group we just started using FR for our WORLD) we have been playing 20+ years on 9 poster boards taped together if i can be of assistance from time to time to as an npc group attacking blackmailing or hiring your characters would love to swap some stories my group plays 415-730 est ish

Solynod Hex is progressing right on schedule. Currently, the party is averaged at level 7. We are seven players strong. Overstrength by one player, but it's ok because combat is faster than ever with my patented Token Action System™. J/K Elena S. and I have made it available to all players here: https://wiki.roll20.net/Advanced_Dungeons_and_Drag... This system makes combat a cinch. I still have yet to find a faster way to play D&D. It's even faster than current iterations of 5E! 5E players are still using the character sheet! lol A fast game is an exciting game is a fun game. More time for roleplaying :D
So i have been running a spell jammer campaign for the last year. started my groups as groundlings and had the second inhuman wars hit faerun. The homeland was quickly overrun and the took to the stars. since then the have grown their one ship to a 15 ship fleet through copper pinching and savvy and have helped in the liberation of faerun. they are no headed to krynn space to assist in the war of the lance (as one of my players is a paladin of bahamut aka paladine) they are wanting partial integration into the novels without taking away from the heroes of the lance as they are all avid fans of that series. any suggestions as to key points that could be taken from Tanis and the crew and givien to my players would be appreciated as i am a fan but have not read the books in some years. I have dewlt in the realms for my DM ing years. we are 7 strong and play 2nd edition.
Legends of Iador is still running and has (I believe so anyway) surpassed one year. We are currently four, about to become five, consistent players strong. The group is running through a very large dungeon (part of it pictured below, mostly where they are and some allies are located) that is going to take months to complete. The campaign itself takes place on a land mass called Iador and the party is currently the southwestern quadrant of the land, a land called Shadowwyn which is a word in an ancient language mean ruin and despair. However, that ruin and despair is slowly coming to an end as the party pushes closer and closer to their final goal. The completion of the dungeon will be a major milestone in the campaign within Shadowwyn. A map of Iador is below. Our next session is scheduled for two days from now. If you are at all interested, here is a link to LFG page of the campaign - https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/30480/ad-and-d...
Shondra *which is my own hybrid homebrew) is going strong. even though i might have to put it on the shelf as i will be losing several players for the summer. Right now they are hunting dragons (and they are all around 7th level) and soon they will have a surprise as some old enemies will rear their ugly, evil heads and strike at the group and have them transported to another part of the world. (Shondra is similiar to Earth much like the various Earth clones from star trek, and i plan on using the A series of mods in a place that is similiar to Sub Himalayas Asia)
Continuing on from my last post relating to the Legends of Iador campaign, I am now looking to start a second group (while getting maybe one more person for the first group). The second group will be playing immediately after the first group. There will be the potential for group interactions if the groups wind up in the same area so that is something I am looking forward to and may or may not try to drive the groups towards each other if I can. The first group starts at 12AM GMT, 5PM PST, 8PM EST and will go for roughly three and a half hours (may end up running overtime on a few occasions) and the second group will aim to start four hours (4AM GMT, 9PM EST, 12AM EST) after they do, hoping to run for close to the same time as the first group. Again, may run overtime on a few occasions.
Our campaign has been going on for 4 years this month, set in Forgotten Realms' Bloodstone lands. We use the published sourcebook for our background, but have expanded on it to include our own political forces and events. Characters are currently L5-L6, as we've taken a few breaks here and there and are now only playing every other week. Our website: https://sites.google.com/site/bloodstonecampaign/ documents what we've been doing; the Campaign Chronicle for older adventures and the adventure log for more recent activity. To summarize, characters stumbled upon a map leading to an abandoned dwarven keep in the Galena foothills. We took it, cleared out a bunch of orcs nested in the caves below it and use it as a base of operations for local adventures. We run mostly on 2e, though we've incorporated DC checks (which I think are from 3e) because we think they facilitate gameplay. We are not currently looking for new players, only to fish for ideas. If anyone has any questions, please let me know.
Solynod Hex recently had its 161st session last Saturday. 15 years and still going, 1 of which has been on Roll20. I'm really glad I found Roll20 on Twitch.tv because AD&D is so much easier to play now.
I am in 5 different campaigns right now. 4 are going well...really well actually. The 5th one is a Monday Dark Sun Campaign the DM has just dropped out after postponing the start of that campaign a few times. We are currently looking for a Dark Sun DM if anyone is interested
Well the Shondra campaign is almost a year old already. (Can't believe its been nearly a year). Currently we have been running T1-4 and A1-4 as a combined module and so far the only hangups are the town portions. (I have never been a strong DM when it comes to Urban settings).
Solynod Hex is still going . Looking for some more players to play Second edition dungeons and dragons with dynamic lighting and advanced fog of war . If interested apply here .
Shondra is still going. Taking a break from ToEE (been running that since last May and made through to the 3rd dungeon level) and running a 2e update of X4 the Master of the Desert Nomads
Running The Lost City of Barakus since the fall. Converted from Swords & Wizardry. Just finished Session 18 on Wednesday.
STILL RUNNING my first DM attempt in Roll20, Song of Soravia , which will hit the 51st session this Saturday, March 4th, 2018. Have not managed to kill everyone off, everyone's 10th level or so and building strongholds now - we're stepping into the phase where the PC's are going to begin their landed noble/political careers soon. Well, if they survive their jaunt into the shadowfell, that is.

Solynod Hex had its 190th session last weekend. 30 more sessions, and it will have been going on Roll20 as long as it was a face-to-face game.
We are still running our Bloodstone Campaign (thanks for some great ideas, LeberMac)... ongoing since 2013. ( https://sites.google.com/site/bloodstonecampaign/ ). Please forgive the lack of updates on the Adventure Log if you browse our site... I am hoping one of the PCs gets back to updating it while I DM. We unfortunately don't meet as often as I'd like, averaging 2 hours every other week or so, but all characters are still going strong in the Level 6-8 range. Characters are currying favor with King Gareth Dragonsbane's Officer of Commissions by clearing out monster strongholds in the Bloodstone Pass.

This might be heresy in a 2e forum, but I am currently running a D&D rules cyclopedia game (with 2e rules sparsed here and there where the system has holes.) Out of my 5 players this if the first game for 4 of them. We have been running for 8 months now and they are all really digging it. My one veteran has been begging me to run 2e next but I am trying to ease my new crew into the rules. Still, it is really fun seeing a bunch of people experience the wonder of playing D&D for the first time. Edit: Hey guys, I want to point out I am running most of this game in person. Like actual humans beings around a table. I appreciate the enthusiasm of people wanting to join an old school group but I am doing this in the flesh. I keep a roll20 group up for ease of record sheets in person. If everyone has a smartphone or computer we can play with nothing else. I will happily post up if I start an online group though.
Medgamer that is a wise way to do it i come from a similar background if you need a small handicapped band to try and loot em gimme a hollar and i'll gather a small crew to loot em depending on night/time
I am finishing up with setting up a dungeon, with 27 lvls I would like to add a couple of players to my my standard group. Just getting things ready and will not be ready to run for some time yet. It will be 3 weeks a month on Friday nights I would like to run every weekend, but we do have family men playing. They need a friday night once in a while. If you might be interested please let me know.and PM me.
I’m proud to announce that the views counter on the Solynod Hex LFG has just gone over 6,000 views.
Thinking of running a Mystara campaign based in AC1000 on fridays
My Spelljammer/Birthright campaign is going well. We just finished up session 15 of the weekly campaign.
I moved into 5e to test it out and it looks pretty good, but I'm only playing, not DMing right now.
Bloodstone Campaign has taken a hiatus, but I am hoping to renew the campaign soon. We had some WAGs lined up to join over the summer, and then I lost the maps I was working on and never really got the desire to redo all of the work. That, and life, got in the way. I am working on adapting the White Watch module to the Blackwall Keep battlemap for a traditional dungeon crawl.

The Orb of Solynod Hex™ has reached 231 sessions and our LFG page has reached over 8,000 views. With the income this campaign generates on Twitch , Paypal , and Patreon , I have saved up enough revenue for two years of Pro subscriptions and have begun investing in asset collections on Roll20 marketplace .
Homebrew setting, West Marches style using 3.5e Core Rules in a low fantasy/wizard magic, relatively high deity/clerical magic world.
Forgotten Realms, using 2e with some flavor mixed in. It's a long told tale of a lich, a dragon, some undead and finally some unknown force in charge of it all, good guys aren't always good, bad guys aren't always bad, and treasure drops galore! (No, not a Monty Haul game). However, once we converted to Roll20, not one player was doing their experience correctly, so I did do a one-time boost to a fixed XP level for everyone which kinda power-leveled everyone one time. I now use LazyExperience so that won't happen again. Currently, they are in Forge of Fury but modified to fit my story arc I am teeing up Dragon Heist (again modified) and then Dungeon of the Mad Mage (again modified) with Avernus in the future... maybe... I've been busy statting all the monsters with 2e stats on the sheets (have an API and google sheet for that) and then adding specific weapons/attacks to the character side for combat macro use. 7 fulltime players, with the occasional missed session due to work, etc, so I just give that character control over to someone else for that night. Currently at 8 due to a long time friend reconnecting, but he's only here for the summer. Convienelty enough, I had an NPC that he was able to jump right into, but I'll have to adjust a bit, as the NPC was part of the FoF final battle (was going to turn traitor)

I have just ended a 10year campaign involving several generations of characters. As it came to a close I decided to start the next campaign in an alternate forgotten realms so as to start fresh. In this version of faerun mystra dies I her battle with bane over waterdeep causing the weave to crash. Io disappointed with the pettiness of the gods leaves them to dwell in the mortal realms for a decade before allowing them back into their godly domains. As punishment for all the havok wrought upon faerun under their instruction the gods are barred from interfering in the lives of the mortals. The campaign is an extremely low magic, both divine and arcane. It has a primary focus on survival. We are using a variety of house rules that expand the proficiency system as well as add depth to both crafting and combat. It is 500 years after the time of troubles and the players have been isolated and preparing to venture out for the first time (inspired by fallout)

Getting ready to start a multi-DM Dark Sun campaign world. We currently have 5 DMs signed up for a multi-DM Persistent Shared Dark Sun Campaign World set in Free Year -2. When one DM feels like running a session they post an advertisement for it. Players interested in playing that session “apply” for it. Players create a character tree of 2 to 4 characters and can use those characters in any session run by one of the designated “A PUG’s Life Dark Sun Campaign HUB.” DMs. If your interested in joining the campaign as a player or DM let me know.
A second edition Ravenloft campaign of three players. Our second session is coming up on the 24th and I'm blessed to have three awesome players who within minutes of starting the session worked together like a team with weeks or even months of playing experience making the most of their builds. Not only that but we all understand how immersive the Ravenloft setting is and everyone seems to relish the mood of it.
