Henry Group RP Forum

RP'ing in Forums - Some forums are In Character only,- MY HOPE - is that this invests you into your character's persona, we get 4-5 hours a day live RP'ing and while that works, its often going to be very time sensitive RP, ie puzzles, combat, chase scenes, etc. The format for the RP forums are as follows: LOCATION : where you are DATE/TIME : day and time you are starting/stopping some behavior WHO : Who is around you, or who you are looking for. WHAT: what actions you actually perform (If rolls are required for your actions you'll need to enter the campaign, make your roll stating its purpose in the CHAT prior. THERE WILL BE NO FORUM BASED COMBATS If an event requires combat or more real time resolution - I will post that the RP is stopped at the time, on that date, for those players. The event will become part of the next session. Ect. All rolls need to be rolled in session, State the reason for the roll and make the roll then screenshot it and post it in this forum. A suggested Guide for Ic and OoC posting in a single forum follows. ((this was a scene out of MY first session of another campaign)) LOCATION : the docks, Sharn DATE : January 1st TIME : 2:30pm CHARACTERS : Zeed, Lexa, Kyhron, Volkovoy, Tomas, Quest, At the dock Zeed swoops in, in his angel outfit... If you adopt that sort of pattern in your posts, please denote the OoC commentary in a separate post or with some designation like double brackets or the like. LOCATION : the docks, Taer Valastras DATE : January 1st TIME : 2:30pm CHARACTERS : Zeed, Lexa, Kyhron, Volkovoy, Tomas, Quest, At he dock Zeed swoops in, ((in his angel outfit; 50ft from the water and maintains a hover)) "I am Come! Lo Goblins, For I bringeth you TEA!! TEA I SAY!!!"Personally I like the 3rd person non omniscient narrative style. What COULD an observer see if they were really watching. ie. Not this: Modnar thinks about that Vegan casserole on his plate... were there too many peas? was it too sweet!? THIS : Modnar sits behind what looks like a slumping pile of cooked vegetables. A glass casserole dish to the side holds the more attractive, er, congealed version of the pile. His eyebrows knit and he spits out a pea into a trash can. "Your overly sweet horde of green pea-ness is ejected" ((that would have been more humorous spoken aloud.. think about it - aaaayy, you did didn't you...tsk tsk))

"It seems we have formed an adventuring party, complete with our first quest," he muttered to himself. He raised his voice to address his companions. "As it seems we have formed an adventuring party, I'd like to bring up something for consideration. Most of the adventuring parties I've read or heard about have gone by some sort of party name. Some of those have been flattering. Some *ahem* have not. I believe that the less than flattering names were assigned to the party rather than being chosen. I'd like to propose that if we are to continue traveling and questing together we pick a name that we are not ashamed of before we are assigned one. Opinions? Ideas?"

She leans back, thinking over the suggestion. Being called the 'Crab Wranglers' is a fate she wants to avoid. In case they did end up traveling together, that is. "A sound idea, Lupin. Do you have something in mind?" Overall, she is curious what Lupin will suggest. They haven't traveled for long. What he, or one of the others, will answer is going to be telling.

Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Tar Valestas Who: The entire party Lupin considered Sasha's response. "I'm not too sure myself. I have read of many groups, but until a few months ago, I did not expect to leave the academy for many years yet. Perhaps something to describe the collective personality or deeds of the group. Perhaps something based off of Hendrick's charity? The Death Donors, perhaps?"
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "Perhaps something based off of Hendrick's charity? The Death Donors, perhaps?" Sasha slowly raises one eyebrow. "This one is a bit on the nose, don't you think? Easily misunderstood. With, well, you and Harvest in our group we grab enough attention as is." It's a wonder nobody came up to them and asked more questions or at least called the watch...ordinarily people are not that silent about their misconceptions. "If you are interested in naming our group after a deed we have done, you might want to wait until we did exactly that. Otherwise it might be best to choose a name that stands for what we want to represent. Strife for greatness and all that." She shrugs. "Or just something catchy. The Finders Keepers, Nox Ferox, Band of Extraordinary People and that Guy..." Sasha gives the other, increasingly drunker human in the party a look before shaking her head. How can someone like that even use magic? It's ridiculous.
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "Or just something catchy. The Finders Keepers, Nox Ferox, Band of Extraordinary People and that Guy..." 'Something catchy, eh? I shall have to think on this some more.' Lupin thought with a far off look in his eyes. After a moment Lupin turned his attention to the remainder of the party. "Ampwell, Harvest, Hendrick, Meritash. Do any of you have any wisdom to offer or any catchy ideas?"
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "Ampwell, Harvest, Hendrick, Meritash. Do any of you have any wisdom to offer or any catchy ideas?" Harvest hadn't been paying much direct attention to the conversation. Of course she knew what they were talking about, five years of protecting Sasha had taught the large tigerfolk that it was always best to be aware of the words she exchanged with even the friendliest stranger. You never knew when that girl's sharp tongue would hit a nerve that would send a bar into a whirlwind of fighting. But she didn't find the topic particularly interesting. As long as they were helping out that farmer tomorrow, Harvest didn't really care what they would be called for it.  However, now their travelling companion had turned his slightly unnerving canine gaze upon her and the others of their party and nobody else seemed forthcoming with a response. Harvest sighed, the sound travelling through her vocal cords and coming out sounding more like an animalistic groan of annoyance, which it was.  "Perhaps..." the deep, only slightly feminine voice rumbled forth as the feline warrior tried to snatch an idea out of her own and recent experiences, "Perhaps we could be called... The Plough's Share? Since we are helping out a fellow farmer together..."   Harvest realized as she trailed off that it all probably sounded like nonsense. She wasn't even sure why she'd thought it was a good idea. Something about helping out another farmer, even one from a different line of work than what she was used to, had pleased her, bringing up good memories of working in the field. She coughed to cover up her confusion.  "I don't know." she finished, voice even lower than before, Harvest sat back in her chair and tilted her head down so the wide brim of her old hat would hide her expression from further inspection.
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "Ampwell, Harvest, Hendrick, Meritash. Do any of you have any wisdom to offer or any catchy ideas?" Adventuring party, Hendrick thought. He was not massively convinced of such things, he wasn't used to having to depend on other people or even being able to. "A band of people, naming themselves after having just met? My fellow travellers, you seem to be easy to trust. It is not my intention to offend, for myself I have to say I very much enjoy your company and am very impressed by your conduct in battle, well maybe for most of you." He gives the slightest of glances over to Harvest. "I believe in order to unite under a banner so to speak, first of all we need to find common ground. Be it just so much as an idea." He looks around this bizarre troupe of individuals. "I am a travelling man of the gods, attempting to bring light into these troubled times." This unusual openness for him made him feel slightly uneasy. What is it about those people, that he feels he can trust them more than others. "What about you friends? Maybe there is an idea to unite us and give us a name?"

Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "What about you friends? Maybe there is an idea to unite us and give is a name?" Lupin gave a wolfish smile at Hendrick's words. "I have no intentions of hiding my quest and I will not pretend it is for a noble cause. I hunt for my brother gargoyle, Fenrir, who slew our creator several months ago. Mine is a quest of vengeance, pure and simple. I came to this city to seek rumor of my brother and to train for our eventual confrontation." His words spoken, Lupin's face returned to a neutral expression and his eyes very pointedly looked from face to face, weighing any reactions to his words.
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "What about you friends? Maybe there is an idea to unite us and give us a name?" "I came to this city to seek rumor of my brother and to train for our eventual confrontation." Harvest glanced up momentarily and shrugged brusquely before leaning forward again and taking a slow sip of her ale. She glanced over at Sasha briefly, hoping it wouldn't annoy her principal if she gave a very vague description of their business.  "We are not always in the habit of helping all those in need." she said, the slow words rumbling forward, "But if it isn't too inconvenient to Lady Sasha's personal pursuits, and it brings in a little honest coin, we don't mind helping those that need it. "Well..." she added as an after thought, glancing again at Sasha and remembering her irritable tone in accepting the farmer's task, "At least I don't."   An amused grin quirked corners of her tiger lips, thinking that it would be good for her saucy employer to do a little good for others whilst questing for knowledge.
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party Sasha listens to Henricks wordy reply. Although she agrees with some of what he said, she is mostly irked that he asks for  The glance he gives in Harvest's direction does not help his case. "A simple man of faith then, no personal goals to speak of?"  Sasha asks, leaning back. Her previously inquiring tone changes to one of disappointment. "A bit cliche...trist at that, I have to say." Seemingly losing interest, she takes a sip of her ale. "Mine is a quest of vengeance, pure and simple." Sasha nods, unsurprised. She figured as much when he had told them about his brother before. "To be honest, your quest piqued my interest. I feel like there is more to discover on the way - we will lend our skills, if you will have us." After all, she is able to relate to that. In part at least. So far Lupin seems clear headed, not even a step away from the threshold of being consumed by his need for vengeance. That is something she can respect. "At least I don't." The comment wouldn't have caught Sasha's interest if not for the trace of sass in the tigerfolk's face. Well, if this isn't a curious development. Sasha clicks her tongue, face schooled in neutrality. "Two own thoughts in one evening. Careful, you'll end up hurting yourself, Harvest dear." She fixes her companion with a challenging look, while casually flagging down a waiter for another round of drinks without breaking eye contact. After a long moment, she turns back to the rest of group. "To answer the question of why we came to the city of thorns - I am a scholar, a seeker of knowledge mostly concerned with the arcane arts, history and mysteries of the world." Lupin mentioned reading stories before. Depending on what kind, they could exchange notes. There is not much she hasn't read herself that can be found in libraries, but one never knows. especially with a gargoyle in a mix.  "We will stay as long as there is information to gather, unless a more interesting venture presents itself." Which until now did not include finding lost crabs for random farmers. There are so many other fun tasks to follow and of course Harvest has to get her teeth into that one. I will be bored out of my mind.
"We will stay as long as there is information to gather, unless a more interesting venture presents itself." Lupin perked up at the mention of Sasha's scholarly pursuits. Another scholar to travel with, eh?   Lupin thought while glancing at Ampwell, who seemed rather buried in his mug, How interesting . I would greatly appreciate any help you are willing to provide on my quest . After all, I seek vengeance, not a fair fight . As for your scholarly pursuits, I have studied a wide array of historical and arcane knowledge since my creation . Lupton pulls out a dense tone from his pack. After the removal of the book, the bag is almost entirely empty. Currently, I am studying one of my master's tomes on the creation of magical constructs. . . Lupin trails off, knowing that most people do not have an interest in his research. *Ahem* Back to the subject at hand. What sort of knowledge do you seek, Sasha? Perhaps I can be of assistance.
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party Sasha's eyes linger on the thick tome Lupin gets out. Leaving her hands around the mug of ale, she restrains herself from reaching out and grab it. restraining herself, not to reach out and grab it. It is one thing to see a living gargoyle in person - having the creator's notes in hand might be invaluable.  But, as it is one of his master's tomes, it might have sentimental value. Sasha is not going to ask for that, not now. "I am curious as to why you study your own kind. Do you want to understand your body better?" She did that once, when she was young. Although not for long, humans are quite boring in that regard. "Or are you looking for weaknesses your brother might have?" "What sort of knowledge do you seek, Sasha? Perhaps I can be of assistance." Sasha gives Lupin an honest smile. "Any kind, to be frank. To be specific and name a project I have been working on for the past few years, the draconic prophecy." Sasha watches the gargoyle's reaction, used to people explaining to her that such a task exceeds a human's life expectancy by far.
"Any kind, to be frank. To be specific and name a project I have been working on for the past few years, the draconic prophecy." After a short moment of thought, Lupin gave a sigh and answered Sasha's probing. "I study this tome for many reasons. It began as an assignment from my teacher. My father."  Lupin gives a sad smile.  "He hoped that I would continue his legacy and his work. That is part of the reason why he created me as he did, with the ability to wield magic. However, once he was killed I have poured over these pages searching for any advantage that they may provide me. Lupin grips the book tightly.  "I am physically weaker than my brothers, but I am also much smarter. How I use that advantage will be what determines my success or failure." "Any kind, to be frank. To be specific and name a project I have been working on for the past few years, the draconic prophecy." " The Draconic Prophecy? " Lupin barked (pun intended) out a laugh. " I'm afraid I don't have much knowledge on that subject." I shall have to fix that eventually. "I have heard of those among the short-lived races who seek to study the prophecy, but I've never heard of any who live long enough to do much more than study pieces of the work. Tell me, what do you hope to learn from your studies. Do you seek knowledge of the future or is this mere curiosity? "
Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, First day in Taer Valaestas Who: The entire party "He hoped that I would continue his legacy and his work. That is part of the reason why he created me as he did, with the ability to wield magic." Hmm, interesting.   The answer sheds more light on the relationship Lupin has with his creator, but in turn it raises more questions as well. Sasha wonders, why the gargoyle, obviously used to be seen as a person, travels with the wizard who tried to deny his personhood for the second time in the short while they traveled with the group. Unless of course, they are playing a scheme. But Lupin doesn't strike her as the type for subterfuge. "Do you intent to continue his work after you finished matters with your brother?" If his evaluation of his brother is true, it is only a question of time until he reaches his goal. Brains over brawn and all. Sasha narrows her eyes at the gargoyle's laugh. She isn't confident enough in her impression of him yet ti say if it was meant to mock her.  And he doesn't even know anything. "Tell me, what do you hope to learn from your studies. Do you seek knowledge of the future or is this mere curiosity?" Meeting Lupin's gaze directly, she answers, determination in every word: "Don't you think a mystery even the dragons couldn't solve is worth pursuing just for that?" She is more disappointed, that he didn't take a look himself and still thinks it is an act of futility for a human like her. "There are many ways to extend your life as a magic user. I assumed you knew this." With that she leans back again, withdrawing from the conversation. She doesn't feel up to discuss this topic further. She got enough flak from her family in that regard.
Lupin sighed as Sasha withdrew. Seems I misspoke again. At least it was my words that were misunderstood and not just my appearance. It's the small things I suppose.  Lupin stood and carried his tome up to his room for the night. A few hours of research and then rest. Tomorrow seems to be a busy day.

Location: The Black Orb Inn Date/Time: Night, 15th of Sypheros Who: The entire party "Well, that was some business we took care of." Hendrick seemed to be speaking more into his glass of ale, than at anyone specifically. "I am all for ridding the world of evil, but why those goblins? Is that the best we can do? Burning down housing?" This was a genuine question, he thought to himself. His ambitions were grand, but so far he had not had the chance to come even close to any of them. "Maybe we can find something more worthwhile to do. I know some people, I could go and ask around a bit? There might be even some good coin in it or maybe even something much more valuable - knowledge." A wholehearted grin appeared on his face. That should probably at least interest some of his fellow adventurers.

Lupin looked across the table at Hendrick's grin with a somber look on his own face. I agree that what we did may not have been. . . tasteful, Lupin glances towards Ampwell  but I do believe that it was what many may call a 'necessary evil' . The goblins of that camp had already attacked us twice on the road and I'm sure they they attacked many others who were much less able to defend themselves. Perhaps now any survivors among the goblins will move on from the area. And if they dare strike at us again, I may have to ensure that they will not have the opportunity to attempt a fourth attack. Lupin let out a breath and gathered his thoughts. I do agree that coin and information should be our top priorities for now. My own quest is on pause until House Thrarashk finishes their work for me. I am willing to pursue some of this 'worthwhile' work in the meantime. Might as well assuage your conscience while you are needing it. We could speak to your contacts or get into contact with Willy. The ale is good and I have had plenty of it but what is this feeling. Did they need to die? Did they deserve to die? Who would they of hurt if they didn't die? Hundreds of questions raced through his mind but all he could do was think logically about them. He didn't feel bad about doing it but he didn't feel good either. Another Ale! he shouted. You think the crab farmer has rich friends? He glanced at Hendrick and then at Sasha. How old were you when you learned magic?

Following Lupins comment, Hendrick was about to get up and leave. But the words of the gnome in a conversational mood peaked his interest. He wondered how much he was willing to share. "I have not found faith until after my youth, something rather unusual. But ultimately it gave me some magical ability and most importantly peace and purpose." He wondered, how magic manifested for the others. Did it have the same calming effect it does for him? "How did magic manifest for you? Concerning Willy, he will certainly know people of some wealth, but whether or not they are friends? Maybe he has some rich customers?"

The two of us had agreed to stay on the same path after all, you and I, my precious friend. Yet, I've betrayed you. I cannot say how utterly ashamed I am at this, so I will not try. I shall not excuse my actions, not to you, who I have only the fondest feelings for. Yet I send you a letter, a cold thing that I cannot even be certain will reach you, but for all my faults I cannot bear the thought of having never explained my departure. Not to you. I hope that Diego reaches you well with this letter and that he treats you as well as I never could have, for you have always deserved a better friend. Please, do not think kindly of me. Shall I allow you to hate me? Surely you cling to the hope that I am an honourable friend, I know that this is the sort of compassionate individual that you are. I fear you are wrong, Nala. Will you believe me if I tell you I made a deal? I agreed to take the forever stone, and in exchange I would have a resurrected Crow, exactly  as he was before he was murdered. I was going to steal it from you, Nala. Instead, I am leaving... By all the waters, I am at a loss for words. I shall not make excuses for myself, I shall not try to defend my actions, know only that you must not think kindly of me. If our paths again cross, you kill me. I will lay down and allow it, I hope you believe still that I could never raise a sword or dagger against you, not even if my very heart hinged on it. So, please. Do not think kindly of me. I pray for your safety, in my absence and in my abandonment of one and only one truly precious friend, I wonder what the prayer of a wicked person might mean, but I do wish with every fibre of my traitorous being that you are safe. It shall be easy for you to recognise me if we ever cross paths again, for I still wear the armour that you made for me. I risked mine and Diego's lives to retrieve it; but I am certain that the man shall gladly paint a picture of what that was like, no need for me to begrudgingly write of my errors further... Finally, with honesty, I leave you these careless words of a traitor. Never forgive me, dear Nala. Remember the poem that you shared with me. 'But he that dares not grasp the thorn Should never crave the rose.' Though the words had come to an end, there were two folded parchments included in the letter; music scores. To what would remain an unfinished song. The scores were hand written of course, the flowering writing of Exoristos upon the paper colouring every note in personality, as Nala might be able to sing out from the title:  "Nala's song" "Si mi lotoc rkess ocuir wux, bensvelkilti thurirl" For all the pain that I dare put her through, may the world sing the tale of her song. The stars themselves bow down to her beauty And know the truth, this woman is strong To say she is brave would bring me to shame For how_unjust. t'would be to use just a word Her heart is open, her knowledge is boundless And fear could not stop her from saving the world May people heed the loyal_Nala's song Know her patience outmatches my wrongs Understanding and giving to her are like breathing Her_selfless actions redeeming the weary Her Beauty and virtues the see no end! The evils she battles shall flee from her- But there the score ends; The notes dance off of the end of the page and the words come to an unceremonious halt. It was unfinished, things left wounded and bleeding.

Location: Campsite, Outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late afternoon Who: Lupin "Rachael" , and Jeezargo Eventually almost reaching the duo and hearing them talk of books, Jeezargo decides he should wait, given his lack of educational knowledge. He turns back, and begins building a small fire just outside the nest entrance, hoping to be approached by someone for conversation. Familiar feelings of loneliness set in.
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Lupin , Nala , (and Jeezargo ) Nala was delighted to find another scholar, and her eyes brightened as he pulled out a book even larger than the few she was currently working through. She responded in kind by pulling out a few books of her own; Khorvaire: A Reader, A Series of Essays from the Thinkers of the Modern Era; The Politics and People of Argonnessan, and Traded: How Seven Lords Gained Ultimate Power . If Lupin was looking, he might see a few more books in her bag that Nala neglected to pull out. Though of the ones she did, he would notice that parchment stuck out between every few pages, notes covering them from top to bottom.  "It seems that we are pretty evenly matched," Nala said with a smile on her face. "Forgive my manners, but it's nice to meet another with similar passions to my own. Anyway, Golem creation? Why has that piqued your interest?"
Location: Campsite, Outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Lupin, Nala, and Jeezargo Lupin placed a hand fondly on the tome he held, and his voice softened. This was the last book that my teacher, my. . . father. . .  creator, assigned me to read before he was killed. He was a bit of an oddball in the magic community. He specialized in the creation of inanimate life. A bit of a rare specialty in this day and age. I study this searching for any clue that can be found of a weakness in my. . . brother. . . quarry. With a sigh, Lupin fell silent. Suddenly, Lupin gave a wolfish grin as he looked over the tomes in Nala's hand. Quite an eclectic collection you have here. Light reading or a concentrated study?
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Lupin  and Nala Nala smiled, partially because she was happy to find someone that she could see becoming a great friend to her, and also because she was the slightest bit envious of Lupin's willingness to share. If she had learned anything in her time since leaving her home, it's that no one is to be trusted. But even then, she yearned for companionship that felt stable - something she never had with her previous friends.  "That's quite the tale, though I am so sorry for your loss. I can sympathize easily. If there's anything I can do to help - research or anything - just let me know. Unfortunately I have spent my time as of late studying very different things, but I have established quite a few contacts at the libraries around the continent so perhaps I can put you in touch with someone who would know more." Nala took out a small notebook and wrote down a note inside; a reminder for future reference. "As for my own studies, I have found that it's much easier to navigate the continent when you know where you're going and you can talk to locals. Aside from that, I am learning about the Seven Lords of Trade ...you might say I have a vested interest in one of them. And finally, I am learning about my home land. I don't remember much of it and I would like to try and track down the village I came from, if possible."
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Lupin and Nala Fine goals,  Lupin agreed. And several leads to look into. If we have any dealings with these Lords of Trade I'd prefer to not go in blind. Lupin glanced over at Jeezargo's retreating back. We shall have a more in-depth discussion later. For now, it is getting late. I can take the first watch. Would you mind? Lupin asked as he gestured at one of the tomes in Nala's hands:   Traded: How Seven Lords Gained Ultimate Power. I'm afraid I don't know much about these Seven Lords of Trade and a change of pace in my reading would be most welcome.
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Lupin and Nala Nala glances at the tome that Lupin is carrying and flashes him a sly grin. "Well, I certainly don't mind letting you borrow this, but perhaps you could offer me a similar pleasure? I'd love to learn more about Golems." Nala gestures at his book pointedly. Then, Nala takes a moment and looks upward; it is unclear what she is doing. Puff, please keep an eye on Lupin tonight. I want to know why he is curious about the Trade Lords.
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Lupin and Nala (and Jeezargo) Lupin took a moment to consider Nala's request. A test for myself as well it seems. Very clever. Very well. Take good care of it. Lupin traded the book in his hands for one within Nala's stack and quickly helped the dragonborn repack her books.  Rest well. It seems that tomorrow will be quite exciting. With that, Lupin turned and began to walk towards the campsite. As he approached the camp, he spotted Jeezargo's small fire and began to walk towards it. Johannes, keep watch. As Lupin approached Johannes jumped down from his shoulder and ran off into the night. Do you mind? Lupin asked the lizardman as he gestured towards the campfire and the volume he was holding.
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Nala and Puff After Lupin left, Nala sat down with a blank piece of parchment paper and begin writing a note. After she finished, she handed the letter to Puff and told him to wait until morning and then deliver it promptly, to Zara .

Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Eurgo, and Lupin Lupin shook his head in a polite attempt at refusal. No thank you. My kind do not need to eat. I tried it once. It was a very. . . odd sensation.   The air grew silent between the two for a brief moment. Hmmm. . . Jazeergo, Jeezergo. . . what was his name again? No matter. . .  Tell me friend, what has brought you here? Why did you approach our group and ask to join us. The goliath I feel I have some insight with, but you, my friend, are currently a mystery.

Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Eurgo, and Lupin Jeezargo nods and proceeds to quickly eat the soup. "Shame. It is good. As to your question my reasons are many but the primary being to gather allies and power. An evil and powerful dragon corrupts Q'barra and it is my wish to see my land freed. Sadly some of my kind worship this dragon, known as the BlackScales Tribe. They have harassed my tribe since I was small, but it is my hope that by defeating this evil dragon, they will see the error of their ways. I even so boldly hope that Q'barra Lizardfolk may come together as one nation! A reptilian, predator like grin covers Jeezargos face as he finishes his speech. Realizing he may have said to much at once and looking slightly ashamed  "But yes to make allies and... after an awkward pause... maybe even friends. I have not had many in my short life. As to why you specifcially? Only fate knows."
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Eurgo, and Lupin I see. Lupin took a moment to muse over the lizardman's words. As his mind processed the story, Johannes darted out of the trees and climbed up to Lupin's shoulder, slightly agitated after not finding Puff. The weasel's appearance pulled Lupin from his thoughts. Well, it seems that you are in luck. Our goals seem to align and I myself have never had the chance to visit Q'Barra. If you will lend me your aid in my quest, I will do the same for yours. Agreed?
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, Nala, ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer After setting up camp, building a campfire and offering help with bedrolls and provisions. Fearfacer sits down to clean his blade, " I have come up with names. " He looks up from his work to the group, he then looks to Blue  and Lupin  " Out of, eh, respect, I have not found proper names for you yet, Blueman and you Stonebeast ,   given our battle this day was... unfortunate " Fearfacer thinks for a moment, but gives up the thought as he turns to Nala  " You Dragonwoman , the name I give you is Blastrunner . " He gives a lighthearted smile and a nod of approval, to the fine name. then continues. " For you blast and you run, your magic have proven, to be quite the powerful force, You i find strong and trustworthy Blastrunner . " Fearfacer gives another small smile before turning to face Jeezargo , his smile stops as he thinks for a second, whilst looking him over. " You, Wierd Lizardman " sigh  " Your name is a proud name, one i do not use lightly, " he looks harshly at Jeezargo  before loosening up.  "For you are Bladetrust .  In my tribe, the best warriors are those you have bladetrust with, bladetrust is to trust in their blade, to trust in their skill and finesse, I trust in you these things, I Trust in your blade. Bladetrust " Fearfacer  looks over Jeezargo once more, then gives a small but prideful smile, first to  Jeezargo   and then to Nala , before continuing to clean his blade.
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Eurgo, and Lupin "Could you tell me about your quest? I don't recall having heard it. Though given your the first to want to help me I doubt I'll disagree to help you." Jeezargo sets a bowl in from of Eurgo but adds some fish to it. "Also please forgive me for my intrusion earlier. I wanted a chance to talk with Rachael, as things have been....tense. I'm not sure why." Jazeergo begins packing up his cooking cutlery.

Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, "Rachael", ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer Frowning at first to the name "Weird Lizardman" Jeezargo gives a small smile at the name and respect the goliath showed. Perhaps he would lead them more carefully. "Thank you for the name, as well as the respect that comes with it. You are a powerful warrior yourself. I also think your name for Rachael is well met. Do tell us Rachael are you naturally gifted? Do you call upon the divine magic of some god or being? Or do you spend long hours of studying as your books suggest?" Jeezargo is soft spoken and does his best to sound polite, teetering very close to akward tennager.

Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, Nala, ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer Nala smiles with polite pride at the name given to her by Fearfacer . She places a hand above her heart when he gives her the name, and while she much prefers her own, she accepts it with a respectful nod. "Thank you kindly for inviting us to share a part of your culture. I am honored that you have chosen to accept me as one of your own. I wish I could return the favor, but unfortunately I am not as connected to the traditions of my kind as you are to yours. In lieu of this, I can offer you a tale - one of someone who I think exhibits great bravery. Someone like you, in that respect." Nala grabs a nearby stick and stokes the flames briefly, and she calls for  Puff , who then hops onto her shoulders and curls around her neck. "I was on the Glittering Isles, in the east. My friends were being held captive by a madman. I wasn't in a good position either, mind you. I wasn't in a cell but I was being watched closely. I managed to bargain for an escape, and I was able to make my way down to the dungeons and free my friends. After traveling through tunnels and finally coming out of a sewage system below the castle, we saw that the entire island was being attacked. There was fire everywhere - families were being separated, people were drowning in the pier - and the governing body on the island had collapsed. Leadership was nowhere to be found. It was complete anarchy. People were trying to storm the estate of Wumbar Frusk ." Nala pauses to look at everyone around the fire, and gives Jeezargo a long look, attempting to discern if he or anyone else recognizes the name or not. "Anyway, as per the terms of my arrangement, I was suddenly left without memories. I couldn't remember the people in front of me. I had no idea who my best friend was. I was essentially useless. But my best friend - Exoristos , but we just called him Ex - was bold in the face of uncertainty and danger. He ignored that we were trying to escape, and he put his life in danger to save people from drowning. No, more than that. He rallied these terrified people to band together and create an effort to save those who were drowning or trapped in debris. When I failed my entire party, he took it upon himself to endanger his life to do what was right. When anyone else might have tried to run, tried to find safety, Ex saved countless lives. My actions on that day are one of many regrets I have, but I tell you this tale to remember my friend, and to inspire you to keep the bravery in your spirit alive and well. I thank you, Fearfacer , for the title you have given me. I hope that I live up to the respect you have afforded me."
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, Nala, ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer Fearfacer  nods pridefully as Jeezargo calls him a powerful wairior, he grunts approvingly as well. He then looks up from his cleaning to listen closely to Nala's story. Fearfacer  smiles at her politeness and his pride shows when she talks of bravery. He contemplates about the strange lands and names she speaks of and the predicament she found herself in. He frowns lightly when he hears of her memories and how they are lost, but he wells ones more with pride and understanding, when she tells of her brave friend, and his deeds. " I thank you for those words Blastrunner , your friend I'll hope to meet him one day, a proud man he must be. And..." he looks at her with intent " you need not live up to anything Blastrunner  the respect i have shown you, is because of what you have shown me, what you have: lived up to, as you would put it. I find a need to respect you and be respectful to you, because of what you have shown me. You are strong Blastrunner  so I have already said. " he ends with a smile of kindness and concern for her. He looks around before standing up. " As i see it Blastrunner  you are brave too, for without memory, you still helped your friend, no doubt in my mind about that, you may have forgotten some things, but you have not forgotten you, Blastrunner . " He smiles before he begins to take off his armor, he's lightly scarred like any warrior would be, but his left hand has been deeply schorched by something, up to halfway up his forearm is covered in third degree burns, from a long time ago, since the scar has since healed a bit. He looks at his hand for a moment, then at the campfire with disdain " It is not about not having fears, it is about facing them, facing the enemy, the odds, that is what makes men and women brave. " he sighs and looks to the sky a bit before looking back at the fire, no more disdain in his eyes. " It is a will to be brave, that makes us brave. To trust in ourselves and our companions. " Fearfacer  sits back down, in his now plain clothes and begins examining his blade for any futher dirt or gore.
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, Nala, ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer Nala felt strangely emboldened by the powerful faith of Fearfacer , and her polite smile grew to a very genuine one. Faith in her... Ex had a lot of that as well. Nala truly did miss her Triton friend. "Thank you for your words, Fearfacer . You are quite the orator. That was...unexpected, to say the least. Luckily I was able to get my memories back, though I almost wish I hadn't." Nala's face darkens as she says this, but she regains her casual demeanor and turns to face Jeezargo . "To answer your question, Jeezargo , I spent a lot of time reading to acquire my powers. And as for the gods...I am of the mind that worshiping them is meaningless as they choose not to intervene in the world, even when they should. But any rate, that's a conversation for another day." Nala waves at that train of thought dismissively. "What about you? Where have you learned to fight like you do? It's quite impressive."
Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, "Rachael", ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer "Yes another day. As for my skill set I am self taught. I was very lonely as a young one and often wondered the forest, finding friends in various  creatures. Some were not so friendly. Eurgo there has been with me since I first found him, abandoned under some tree roots. I must say I never thought he'd grow so large! As I grew older, I became a hunter as to avoid the BlackScales that often visted and bullied my village. How long have you studied your art?" Jeezargo looks both tired and saddened as he remember his childhood.

Location: Campsite outside of Taer Valaestas Date/Time: Late Afternoon Who: Jeezargo, Lupin, "Rachael", ??? (Blue) and Fearfacer Lupin briefly looked up from his reading as the others continued to talk. Opening up, it seems. Good. Trust will be important. Lupin turned the page and continued to read. After a short moment Lupin couldn't help but give a wry smile. Rachel? How amusing. There must be a story behind that. Well, I'm sure there are reasons there. I won't be the one to break that trust. Lupin continued reading quietly in the firelight as Johannes scampered back out into the night.
