Older player? Coming back to D&D? Old folks wanting to relive the glory days of youth? Grognard?

Hello folks, I'm interested, as well. Starting playing the red box in '89, with MERP, GURPS and other alphabet soup joining during later college years. I'd happily play AD&D / 2nd edition (but not Skills and Powers) or 5E. Likewise, Runequest, Earthdawn, Rolemaster / MERP, etc. I tend to strongly dislike murderhobos and favour games where non-combat solutions are at least a consideration. Any 3rd edition Shadowrun would run the risk of me sending the GM snacks by carrier pigeon. As far as scheduling goes: I'm in the EST time zone, so GMT -5. Friday night is occupied (Shadowrun 5th), Saturday with family, and Sunday morning and early afternoon with philosophy. Sunday night or late afternoon is fine, as are all of Monday and any weekday night (minus Friday, as mentioned). Looking forward to seeing what we can make of this!

Hello to everyone in the thread! I like what this chain is all about, from the original airing of the D&D cartoon, and the Red Box Basic D&D set, on up. My favorite edition is 2nd ever since the 2E Player's Handbook originally came out (around 1989). I play and DM on Roll20, mostly AD&D 2E games with some variety of house rules and borrowing from other editions. I also get into BFRPG for Basic/Expert style games, non-Advanced. As DM, I have a game opening spot, that could go to someone in the thread. 1 Player Opening: Mondays 2pm Central Time USA... it's an 8pm start time for GMT/UK player. The game is a version of AD&D 2E. The current campaign is a weird-fantasy homebrew setting with a kind of heavy metal vibe. Send a Private Message to me if you want to hear more & join to play on Monday. Based on reading the thread, Hannah and Ramon B are 2 of the people who posted that sounded like you might be interested in AD&D 2E and might be available for daytime-USA on a weekday.

Greetings all. I recently listed my pirated Atari 520 ST games on ebay UK after digging through the loft (there's a bid!). Flicking through the disks I saw Dungeon Master by FTL, and through waves of nostalgia thought: 'Time to try Roll20 again, surely there's some other First Edition fossils out there?'. Apparently there are, or have I missed the Ark?
Hey Jim, I'm not trying to thread-jack here but the last response was a few weeks ago. I have a friend that is running a Basic, Expert, Companion, Master, Immortal game. If you or any old schooler would like to check out the particulars you can check it out this link. https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/5831885/interest... Alright Jim, Here is the last thing that I can think of. These guys and gals may be able to direct you a game or help you start one. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/82587/old-schoo... Once again bud, best of luck. Peace --Mike P.S. If that link doesn't work, just go to the "Join a Game" link under the "Game" dropdown list and do a search for Old School D&D Players Group 1E, 2E, ODD, DCC, Sandbox, Etc.
I'll fire up Discord and check it out. Thanks again!
