My players are currently on level 4 of my DOTMM campaign titled The Undermountain. Last week everything ran smoothly, but the map tonight was so laggy we couldn’t even play. The only thing that changed between last session and tonight was the patch, so that definitely caused the problem. After about an hour of messing around I changed the spacing back to 5 feet instead of 10 and that helped somewhat, but in order for us to play I had to turn off dynamic lighting completely. That allowed us to get through the session, but the players reveal the map in a 60ft radius everywhere they go, seeing corridors they shouldn’t be able to see, and it totally kills the immersion of the game. I have another group I’m running Friday night and I’d really appreciate some help fixing this beforehand so it doesn’t happen again!
