Grid Size

Hi there. I'm having problems with Phandelver maps that are published as "1 square = 10ft". In the past i noticed that roll20 had updated these so that a smaller grid was placed inside the traditional grid, but this seems to no longer be the case. I've searched the forums and it seems there are supposed to be options to manually do it myself (though i'm of the opinion this should all be taken care of in a purchased finished product). I found this link to be the most helpful, as it has an image of what to do along with explicit instructions: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2388256/how-to-deal-with-maps-grid-with-1-square-equals-10-feet I can change the setting at #2 to 10ft. The problem is i don't have a complete #4 on my settings list. I have "Grid enabled" box but no size box next to it. Can anybody help? And does anybody know why it used to be a feature pre-programmed for the buyer and not any longer? If you need further details of my situation i'd be happy to provide them.
Hi Nupraptor, Could you provide a link to the game details page where you are seeing this behavior? Thanks!
Hi there. Thanks for the reply. I'm unsure how to link the actual settings where the issue is, but i can link the game: https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1999089/lost-mine-of-phandelver The issue is on the settings page listed in the previous link: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/2388256/how-to-deal-with-maps-grid-with-1-square-equals-10-feet I can change the setting at step #2 to 10ft. The problem is i don't have a complete field at step #4 on my settings list. I have "Grid enabled" box but no size box next to it.
Gotcha! That post is actually rather old and we have since updated the current layout of the page settings window. Currently, there is no longer an option to "bisect" individual cells as is described in that post. Instead, the grid is simply the grid. For example, if 1 grid cell is set to be 5 feet, and I reduce my cell width by half, each of the new cells are still 5 feet not 2.5 feet. Essentially, instead of trying to calculate cutting cells in half, just make sure you have the grid set to the fidelity you want and the grid cell field is what the grid will be set to no matter what. In your specific case, if you set the cell width field to be ".5" and leave the 1 grid cell scale set to 5 feet, you should achieve the effect you are looking for :) You can check out our wiki for more details here: https://wiki.roll20.net/Page_Settings#Grid
Huzzah! Thanking you kindly for the swift reply good sir. That little nugget hath solved my problems indeed. Hopefully this will prove useful to future games. Thank you very much again.
