Approval Applications

OOC: Can you both please condense your backstories down to one paragraph or less? I look at the longer backstories on sheets as well, but the application is meant to have a summary. Writing 3-5 paragraphs, and deleting the spaces doesn't make it one paragraph. A paragraph usually contains 100-200 words at the most. Words in a Paragraph
The Kallanon officially accepts Drake Darkwood into The Cohort Arcanum as a Junior Associate. May The Fate Weaver spin him a tale of a thousand nights. OOC: It looks like you don't have any languages on your character. Don't forget them! It also looks like you forgot to add your spells as well. I will allow the backstory, but be aware that the shadow world is seriously dangerous. Even the weakest creatures there are a threat to mid level PCs. If your character spent any amount of time there it would be in hiding. The Council of The Cohort Arcanum welcomes Lolgon Shoulgen into The Cohort Arcanum as a Junior Associate. The Fate Weaver's blessings upon him.
1. Zolis Ulmokina 2. lordgenome#5458 3. Father, farmer, a nd  world weary curmudgeon, Zolis has spent his life surviving. Tending his humble Khinasi   farm, he has watched the world pass him by while he labored to provide a good home for his a family. Now that his children have all left him behind for the merchant life and as he enters the twilight of his years, he seeks to go on at least one adventure. Zolis has traded his tired pitch fork for a polearm to see if he measures up as a member of the Cohort Arcanum. Edited: for tone.
The Kallanon hereby accepts Zolis Ulmokina into the ranks of The Cohort Arcanum as a junior associate. May The Fate Weaver care for him more than she does her young! OOC: If you could please tone down your backstory somewhat. Characters begin the game in Cerilia at level one so your character being a lifetime skilled veteran doesn't really match up with that. Do not worry as over time your character will become a skilled veteran and hero, but starting out that shouldn't be the case.
1. Lukas Erving  2. King#0937 3.  As a boy, Lukas grew up in a modest town of Si Eilaer, a mostly human/elvish civilization with an elvish household. With his adoptive family, he had a father, who was an international trader and always away on business; mother, who was an inventor and would sometimes travel with his father and two elder sisters, who were adventurers in their own right. Being an adopted human from the age of 1, Lukas had to adapt to living in a mostly female household of elves who never had to sleep, which some would say was a distinct challenge. Still, his adoptive mother never let the boy forget where he came from and taught him to embrace his human heritage, giving him a human name and refusing to teach him the elvish language until he was of age to signify this. This was to avoid him being confused and isolated from his peers for any kind of cultural dissonance on his part.
The Kallanon accepts Lukas Erving into The Cohort Arcanum as a Junior Associate. May The Fate Weaver send her threads to lead him along the right path! OOC: So just a few things. 1.) Your languages need to be updated. Currently you have them listed as Common, and Elvish. Elvish in Cerilia is called Sidhelien. Common does not exist. You can find a list of languages in Cerilia here. 2.)  You also need to make sure to list what type of human you are. You can see the different types here. 3.) You have your gold listed as 0 which I'm pretty sure is wrong. 4.) Can you update your token so it has a border? It looks a bit odd as it currently is. If you need any help with this let me know. Thanks a ton, and welcome to the game.
1: Zentha Ianris 2: Casiope#4834 3: When she was a child Zentha showed aptitude towards the arcane. She had always had dreams. Dreams that somehow in some way always came true. She pursued and followed the path they guided her on and she ended up a student diviner. Seeking answers to questions she didn't really know. Her dreams led her to the Cohort and she joined up. Her dreams have not been terribly wrong so far.
1.  Nimogene ‘Nim’ Thistlewit 2. Summer#2590 3.  Nim is one of eleven children growing up in a very poor family in a very small house. Due to the little money and many siblings the older children had to take care of themselves. Through this Nim became independent and liked to explore on her own from a very early age. Being small, a lot of people overlooked her which often meant she heard and saw things she was not supposed to. This along with fitting in small places and finding things no one else could, made her a great investigator, something she heard could be useful to the Cohort Arcanum. She packed what little she owned and left her big family in the small house to find her own way in the world.
The Council of The Cohort Arcanum accepts both Nimogene ‘Nim’ Thistlewit, and Zentha Ianris into their halls as Junior Associates. May The Fate Weaver make a golden thread for their futures!
1. Tipper-Taint Rainbow-Paint 2.Hats4Cats#8125 3. Tipper-Taint Rainbow-Maker or "Tipper" started life in the mountains. He had an amazing knack for getting anything to just "work". Adding a bit of magic here and drop there and really a few extra dashes around the outside for good measure. His skills progressed further but although there were important things that needed crafting he focused on Toys! Toys is where he got to see the joy being brought to life and toys are where his passion stayed. Sure the water system needed fixing but wouldn't it be better with some added bells, a couple of whisles and a water wheel that created different steams of colors? He has now joined the Cohort  Arcanum to travel the world looking for new materials to create the world's most fantastic toys.
1. Cordelia "Cordie" Woodwytch 2. Serephen#7256 3. Cordie is an oddity around the Cohort. Not many seem to know her actual story, but the generally known details are that she was found living alone in the wilderness and was sent to the Cohort out of a general loss of what to do with her, but the fact that she'd survived on her own for some amount of time indicated she may have skills that'd be useful to the group. For her part she seemed curious what this Cohort could offer her, and a good friend of hers suggested that it may be a good experience for her.
1. Eginoc 2. Sharrk#7126 3. Eginoc doesn't recall much of his childhood, having been given to the service of a pirate captain at a young age. The band of pirates was quick to employ his strength and rage around the ship and his intimidating presence for 'negotiations'. His crew's fortunes rose and their reputation outpaced their strength. A ruthless rival band murdered his captain and crewmates, plundered the ship, and left him to die. Lucky to survive the ordeal, he sets out for membership in The Cohort to employ his skills and grow his strength, keeping an eye out for vengeance.
Ruler 1. Innishiere 2. linkshadowelf#4956 3. (OOC: replacing Rhynnwyd) Ivellious Nailo, Male Sidhelien (OOC: War Caster Wizard) Ivellious was actually the 3rd in line for his seat at the throne, and as such, he spent most of his time studying magic. However, he was forced to study ruling a dominion just in case. One day while away from his home studying, he was informed that not only his father but also his two older brothers were killed by an unknown disease. Taking the opportunity, he returned home and assumed his father's duties. He also appointed a council of advisers to assist him on important decisions. He purposely set it up where he could never be overthrown by them as any member on the council swore that they can never become a king. OOC: Keeping the dominion mostly the same, if anything, a few names on occasion will be changed.
The Kallanon welcomes Tipper, Cordelia, and Eginoc to The Cohort Arcanum! May The Fate Weaver give the a long, and wonderful lifespan. OOC: Link I'll contact you tomorrow with everything about being a ruler, and get you setup.
1. Ant 2. Seraphina Leaf#9404 3. Ant; a Dwerren of the Cerilian Mountains, only surviving Crewmember of the 'Sea Song', was washed back onto the shores of Cerilia after it had sank. Weary of the sea, instead of seeking a new ship to join, Ant sought out a new venture. Hearing legendary stories of The Cohort Arcarnum (some of them true) in a tavern or two, the impulsive Ant asked to join up.
The Kallanon welcomes Ant into the halls of The Cohort Arcanum as a Junior Associate. May The Fate Weaver watch kindly over them.
1. Your character's name in The Cerilian Census:  Savas Al-Hadar 2. Your Discord ID including the number:  gh0stw1nd#2241 3. A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less): An orphan taken into slavery by an evil mercenary company.  During a battle with Zikalan forces, Savas felt an irresistable urge to join the battle.  Leading the other slaves using weapons taken from fallen soldiers, Savas utilized a combination of pure luck and divine inspiration to attack the rear of the mercenaries, taking the head of the mercenary commander himself.  A Priest of Khindai witnessed the "holy" event, and took the freed teen back to his temple, to be trained in the art of war.
1. Your character's name in The Cerilian Census. Ex. Dorian Avan Johnny Zambrano 2. Your Discord ID including the number. Ex. TheGorgon#0666 Johnny Zambrano#1418 3. A short summary of your character's backstory (1 paragraph or less). Johnny zambrano, a farmer with a dark haunting past from the small town of Athica, Johnny was born and raised in Athica, Athica was a small humble and honest town, he was the town farmer, he grew many crops and supplied the small town. Farming has been in his family for many generations, his family has been farming since the town had been formed. Everybody in the town got along fine, the town was tidy! Until one night, a stranger traveler walked into town and stayed at the local inn, a man never seen before carrying nothing but the clothes on his back and a small book in his satchel. The strang man transformed Johnny Zambrano into a foul beast which caused him to attack the townsfolk killing many of them, the priest was able to reverse the spell but the townsfolk saw that it was their own farmer. Johnny was confused, he ran back to his cottage collected his things and left, never to be seen again.
Savas Al-Hadar, and Johnny Zambrano are both accepted into The Cohort Arcanum as Junior Associates. Eight eyes of The Fate Weavers be upon them.
1. Ingram Alrikson 2. rpapa#6925 3. Ingram Alrikson was born in Valkheim to the Aegilsgaard clan. His mother was a scout for Queen Freila (known as a Pine Walker) and his father was a Smith artisan. At the age of 12, Ingram began to manifest signs of his bloodline along with his budding affinity to magic. Due to the Rjurik's general distrust of magic, Ingram's parents sent him off to study from other Smithing guildmasters - far from Rjurik lands - where he began to widen his world view and engage with the idea of magic. 10 years later, Ingram is an established member of the Smith's guild and continues to study war craft and magic hoping that one day, he can return to his home and use his gifts to help his people.
The Council of The Cohort Arcanum officially takes Ingram Alrikson into their ranks as a Junior Associate of The Cohort Arcanum. OOC: Welcome! It sounds like you'll be wanting to multiclass (or go eldritch knight). Just giving you a heads up multiclassing into a magical class (or as eldritch knight) takes extra time, and requires in game reason (like finding a teacher, gaining powers, etc.). You can check out the rules for leveling up here .
Name: Fenris Nathair  Hats4Cats There is a part of a forest that has never seen the foot of man. Here is where a small tribe wood Sidhelien has never left. Fenris Nathair was the 2nd son of seven and born with a forked tongue. His father is old, just not old for an elf but unnaturally. So old he can retell the battle at Mount Deismaar, marching alongside the forces of Azrai against the humans that had taken the land from their kin. After Azrai was defeated his father was covered gaining gifts that pass through blood. Due to their defeat, his father took the surviving forces and left the world in all but name. Each child was born with a gift coming from their father's service. Fenris showed great talent in combat but also he tendency not to remember it was concerning. HIs father trying to balance his son's gifts placed him in the role of a Scout for the tribe, to learn patience. Time comes for everyone and Fenris father knows his time is ending. Before his passing, there is the issue of succession. He has challenged all of his siblings with a task. To prove to him that they should be the one to inherit the gifts given to him by the true god. Each child is to leave the wood and use any means necessary to prove themselves above there sibling. Each child pitted against one another. Nathair now looks to the Cohort as a vessel to use to win his father's competition. OOC: I need a small area of the map to where this could be. I will be looking to multiclass into druid at level 2.  Azari bloodline so any corruption to transform will be based on snake features, in keeping with the power.
1. Grim Lightward 2. Link Shadowelf 3. Grim is not his original, but it's the one given to him and the only he can remember. He was originally a travelling merchant, and one day in a caravan, his group was attacked by a group of cultists. They killed all but the ones who were completely defenseless. Taken from the caravan, the cultists lead them to a hidden cave. One by one, each caravan member was blindfolded and than sacrificed to an unknown power; each sacrifice included stabbing a shadow blade into sacrificed. Each stabbed vanished into shadowy dust. However, when Grim was stabbed, the shadow longsword fused with Grim. After a few years of forceful servitude, Grim finally made it to the Cohort and hopes he can one day wipe out the cultists. OOC: Yes, he's a hexblade, and he's an organic character with bloodline details stored in the bio section. Update 11/10 - Character death
1. Eirena Lightshadow 2. Depraved Lunatic#1834 3. Eirena Lightshadow hails from a small village in Rjurik lands of barely 3 dozen, where Sidhelian, Hannersidhe and Humans alike live together in relative harmony. She was one of the children seeing off an adventurer of the name Vosrai, who single-handedly defeated a bear that bore it's teeth against the villages citizens, which they deemed as a sign of a greater destiny. Aspiring to be like him, Eirena emulated how he behaved towards others and started to train to become an adventurer herself. Destiny took a dark turn as she stumbled upon a cursed weapon, which bound itself to her, lingering in her spirit. No matter which weapon, the curse always makes itself noticed to her. Trying to come to terms with her eldritch powers proved a struggle, so she sought out the Cohort in self exile, to tame the turmoil inside of her and start a life of adventure, as Vosrai, whom she self-proclaimed as her mentor did. OOC: I hope there is enough deviation in racial personalities for this kind of backstory to work. Please point it out to me if I take too many liberties! Edit: Typo fix
1. Jasta Stanley  2. jastatank22#9990 3) Jasta is an urchin and is now a barbarian he has had a rough childhood and has very few friends. He has troubles trusting new people due to people treating him like crap his whole life. Jasta has 7 siblings which consists of 4 brothers and 3 sisters. his motivation is he wants to fight to deal with all the pent up anger he has built up and isn't sure why.
1. Galena Abanâthu 2. Zilarrezko#2065 3. Galena is from Mur-Kilad and was one of the growing underclass of 'Castoffs' there; Dwerren without clan or kith. Abandonned as a child she had to survive on the streets, stealing, wheedling or scrapping for everything she could get. Skills that she developped a talent for as she grew up and even managed to form a small-time gang with a few of her fellow castoffs, working together for benefit and protection. Last year though the Gorgon ordered his Dwerren and Goblin puppets raise another combined legion. Rather than send more of his personal forces the Overthane raided Mur-Kilad's slums and pressed the castoffs into service instead. Galena was caught up and marched off to train with Markazor's goblin hordes for a future war that she wanted no part in. After a few months however the Dwerren of Galena's warcamp mutinied and she took the chance to make a break for it. Wandering eastwards she became a vagrant in Kiergard until she heard of the Cohort Arcanum from the locals. Stowing away on a ships she made it to the isle of Fabrica and there joined up with the world's most powerful street gang.
The Kallanon welcomes Fenris Nathair, Grim Lightward, Eirena Lightshadow, Jasta Stanley, and Galena Abanâthu as Junior Associates into The Cohort Arcanum. May The Fate Weaver guide them to a glorious end. OOC: I know Grim died last session, just keeping records. You'll be able to take that XP towards your next character. Fenris: You have common listed as a language. That needs to be replaced by one of the languages of Cerilia (Common does not exist). Eirena: You have no money listed. I'm pretty sure that is a mistake. Jasta: It looks like you forgot to give yourself Sidhelien as a bonus language. You also have two uncommon languages which isn't allowed (you can only start with one). You can find a list of the languages here . I'd suggest making sure you have at least one of the most common languages (Anuirean, Low Brecht, Basarji, Rjuven, and Vos). Otherwise you'll have allot of trouble participating in communication. It's up to you obviously. You also need to pick which type of human you want to be. You can find the list of them here . Lastly your character should have 17 hit points I believe (12 for barbarian + 3 for con + 2 for tough).
I have fixed it all now I believe
1. Silas Durant 2. linkshadowelf#4965 3. Silas enlisted as a guard the moment he could. He was not the best guardsman, but he was well-liked. One day, his squad was raiding a supposed dark magic cult. When they stormed the grounds, the cultists flung a spell that sliced his weapon in half. Without thinking, he grabbed a nearby longsword. Drawing it out, the blade shimmered with dark energy which began to flood into Silas. Not realizing what happened, he readied for combat, but the cultists surrendered the moment the sword "chose" Silas. He was brought to a hearing to figure out what happened. Realizing that the blade was now linked to Silas, he was discharged from his service. After spending sometime to make sure he wasn't possessed, he found the Cohort Arcanum was the only place he could call home again. OOC: Exp gained from Grim (deceased) used on Silas. Silas is a 2nd level hexblade with Devil's Sight and Eldritch Sight
1. Portia Folkor 2. Casiope#4834 3. Portia grew up in a small village in Medoere with her parents, her father owning the local brewery. When she was accompanying a delivery of booze with her mother they got attacked by bandits wanting to make a quick buck. The then 16 year old Portia grabbed a crowbar and stood up to them when none of the others would. She managed to defend some of the cargo and everyone else though they did beat her bloody; nobody died that day. The story of the attack spread in her village and Portia swore that when she was old enough she'd travel the realm, grow stronger and become a hero like she had heard stories of, all her life. OOC: xp taken from the retiring of Zentha Ianris (lvl 3) she is a champion fighter.
1. Asher 2. Kaboom#7378  (David E) 3. No memory of his parents. Has a simple ring with an oak tree etched onto it, assumes it is from them. Had one friend on the streets, Garly, a Dwerrin boy who eventually just disappeared. Asher was caught stealing from a collection bowl by a Preist of Airic who saw the ring, and forced the boy into servitude and study. Not out of love. Only duty and the idea of a personal servant. Asher was stuck, watched every day and locked in at night. Just as he was ordained, the old Preist died. Asher left the temple and quickly sold most of his gear. H spent the money even faster, and for a few weeks tried to live off of raising alms. He has just joined the Cohort Arcanum in hopes of an easy life.
The Kallanon welcomes Asher, Portia Folkor, and Silas Durant into the halls of The Cohort Arcanum as junior associates. May The Fate Weaver guide them gently. Asher: You should have one more language. Portia: You should have one more language.

1.  Lynette Gwenevy 2. Summer#2590 3. Lynette grew up in a small convent where she took to their worship of Haelyn. She helped the clerics and priests with everything she could and they in turn taught her everything they could. Being a fast learner her teachers had trouble keeping up with her desire to learn and when they couldn't satisfy it any longer Lynette decided it was time to go on a pilgrimage. Her journey took her all the way to the Cohort Arcanum.
Aaron Ap Owen Winters, Veit Silentbeard, and Lynette Gwenevy are all welcomed into The Cohort Arcanum by The Kallanon. May The Fate Weaver wrap them in her threads. OOC: @Michael H. I already messaged on Discord. We'll you approved as soon as we clear up a couple of issues.
1. Phage 2. Raven#6893 3.  Phage is a cleric to a god she does not openly speak about. She keeps her religion to herself but some have seen her with different holy symbols on her when confronted about her faith. She does helps the Cohort as best she can but she is still very new to the ranks. She has a fascination to the dark arts, secrets and forgotten lore. If she is going to do a task she is going to plan and try to do it right. People have heard herself talking to no one in a dark room. She has been known to have an addiction to drugs. She is a very strange girl but not unpleasant company.
The Kallanon accepts Phage into the halls of The Cohort Arcanum as a Junior Associate. May The Fate Weaver guide her path!
The council of The Cohort Arcanum welcomes Shlar Ohmste into their halls as a Junior Associate. May The Fate Weaver tie him warmly in her threads. OOC: Don't forget to add an age for your character.
1. Skag Polavich 2. Seraphina Leaf#9404 3. For some unknown reason, Skag's parents abandoned Skag as a baby outside an orphanage in Aerele, and haven't been seen since. In his early childhood, Skag turned to petty crime to try and get some decent meals, but mostly just got caught and punished severely. As a late teen, he has fled Aerele after getting caught pickpocketing someone wealthy, narrowly avoiding capture. Though his branding iron marks and crass demeanour, turn off most people, he has a lot to offer the Cohort, and has offered his crackshot to them.
Skag Polavich is welcomed into The Cohort Arcanum as a Junior Associate! Fate Weaver guide his path.
1) Thorg Sabertooth 2) Darvius#9049 3) Thorg was born in the rugged wilderness among the Vos people. Though his mother raised him among the humans, the tribes never truly accepted the bastard half blood child. He strived as a young man to live by the Vos Code of honor. Still he was not fully accepted. When he finally became a man, and survived his first hunt he bid his mother good bye an set out to make a name for himself in the world. In his travels he soon found himself on the island of the Cohort Arcanum. He was determined if they would accept him into their ranks they would become his new tribe, if not to hell with them he would continue his search for a place he could belong and find honor in who he was.
1) Ezren Drakkar  2) rpapa#6925 3) Ezren Drakkar doesn't know much about his parents other than his father was a bronze dragon and his mother was a relatively famous singer in the trade city of Turin. After Ezren was born, his mother sold him to the Underground Gladiator Arena and seemingly disappeared. As soon as he could hold a sword, Ezren was used as an attraction - a sideshow to bring customers into the seats. At the age of 10, Ezren made it his mission to escape, so he trained, fought, and survived. Over the years, various crowds had given Ezren nicknames like “The Raptor”, “The Bronze Bastion”, “The Flame Emperor”. One day, after a particularly brutal match, he won his freedom and soon after, fled Turin. During hist travels, he eventually stumbled on a group of humans at the edge of Sielwode who seemed to worship a being that looked familiar but foreign - a Gold Dragon. Ezren was feared at first then wholly welcomed by this unusual sect. He took on their mission and dedicated himself to The Gold Dragon and sharpened himself to become a sword against the shadow and a flame in the darkness.
Thorg Sabertooth, and Ezren Drakkar are welcomed into The Cohort Arcanum as Junior Associates. May The Fate Weaver watch over them. OOC: Thorg you need you need to pick your last language, and age.
