Soundboard Options

Hey there Ladies and Gents,       I love me some tabletop audio but occasionally I want access to a very specific sound at a very specific time. Tabletop Audio has a great soundboard option but it doesn't stream or at least it doesn't with out some computer wizardry with virtual audio cables that is above my current understanding and expertise. I also know that Syrinescape is a potential option but my concern there is three fold. First its a bit pricey, second I live in the sticks with the bandwidth of potato internet, third their custom soundboard is not particularly user friendly. Lastly the option does exist to make custom sound effects and upload them directly into the jukebox but the rather first world problem issue there is the jukebox UI isn't great for easy or rapid selections for detailed effects (at least not IMO anyway). So is there something that I am missing? Is there an alternative that I am not seeing or aware of? I know I am essentially looking for a unicorn and beggars cant be choosers when there already exist plenty of horses around me but you can't blame a fella for wanting the closest thing to perfection that he can find and I'm sure that if I want it than someone else wants it as well. Anyhow any suggestions are welcome.
I'm a little foggy on what you're asking, specifically, but since you're a Pro user, I'll go ahead and recommend the Roll20 Audio Master script as a start. Allows you to call tracks with commands and hooks into a number of other scripts.

Does that make things clear?

Tabletop audio broadcasts to other players by default, regardless of chat settings. Unless they have turned their local Tabletop Audio master volume down or there is a technical glitch. Still uncertain what you are asking.

I am not aware of any way to broadcast a Tabletop Audio Custom Sound Pad remotely to other players that doesn't use virtual audio cables. Am I missing something here or has my intent been that badly misunderstood?

I think Keith was referring to the Roll20 tabletop radio in his response. As for Tabletop Audio Soundpad, I see an option to send a link to anyone for them to stream your broadcast. Here is a screenshot.

Here is a screenshot. I think I may have missed the word "custom" in my posts up to this point. I want would like to be able to use a Custom Soundboard be it Tabletop Audio or any other platform but dont seem to be able to find one other than Syrinescape which thus far seems more expensive and trouble than it may be worth. I know I am being picky here and as I said am aware that I am demanding a Unicorn while surrounded by horses but that doesn't mean having the Unicorn wouldn't be nice and isn't worth asking for. Tabletop Audios premixed Sound Pads are nice but generally there are only a couple of sounds per soundpad that I am interested in using and thats why a custom pad seems like the only reasonable way forward.

I think this goes beyond the scope of the Roll20 forums if I am honest. There are quite a few resources on virtual audio mixing on sites that have more subject matter experts than you would find here. In a quick search it seems like the program Jack (jackaudio.org) might accomplish you're goal, but I personally cannot vouch for it. I have personally used virtual mixers which includes VB voicemeeter and it appears  it may be able to handle virtual inputs from an application but I would have to do a fair bit of testing to confirm that.

It doesn't really talk about the Roll20 app. I would suggest asking on the Roll20 Reddit site, or its associated discord.

I'm pretty sure that the script Roll20 Audio Master can do what you want. I know that back when I first coded it, this was one of the use cases I had in mind (if I'm understanding your end goal correctly). Victor took the project on when my RL got a little too hectic to keep up with it, so I'm not as intimately familiar with the capabilities now a days. But I do think that it is worth looking into. You would of course still have to upload the tracks to Roll20 in order to use them.

So we arent supposed to discuss outside applications we intend to use specifically with Roll20 on the Roll20 forum? Seems like some questionable gate keeping there to me.

I would hardly call it gatekeeping... I never once said anything to imply that you can't  ask those questions here. Only that the scope of these forums are unlikely to address the very specific things you were looking to accomplish with outside applications. Furthermore, I then proceeded to provide more input in an attempt to help you (which included me testing and configuring settings from the referenced VB Voicemeeter on my end in an attempt to find a solution for your problem) which doesn't seem very gatekeep-y to me.

Its seems to have passed right by you but I was responding to keithcurtis and not you so your offense seems misplaced.

Wasn't at all offended.  Have a good one, good luck with your search.
Soundpad is a small program that will let you do sound clips easily.  It sets up everything for you, so no messing with virtual audio cables, etc. and basically works with any program that receives your mic input, so Roll20 audio or Discord, etc.  It costs like $5, I think, but well worth it.  You can use it to play any sound file on your PC so you can setup a library for your games.

Thank you Jesse, this was the first answer that seemed to understand the question and respond to it. I appreciate you suggestion and will look into the program immediately.
