Help: transparent source of shadow

Hi everybody, I hope this is the right place to post this kind of question. I've just made a subscription to the platform and the first thing that I did was playing with dynamic lights, but I started with something that is probably too complicated for my simple mind: I'm trying to give some natural obstacle a shade based on where my players will position themselves, but to avoid that the natural obstacles were completely obscured I drew the border only one side of them, in this way the objects are still visible and the players will understand what is casting that shade. But, for some reasons, I noticed that the source of light (I enable the Daylight Mode, since is a fight during the day) is coming from the middle of the map, this means that the shades are casted in different directions and that even using a character token with the dynamic lights already set, the shades are still there and also if I put the character near the physical obstacle the shade doesn't change, it actually stays ON the character token. I put a couple of images to give you a better vision of the problem (I'm clicking on the "open in another page" option, but is not working).  Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2
It sounds like you enabled Dynamic Lighting, and made the map image itself the light source?  I think what you are looking to do instead is just enable Daylight Mode (in Updated Dynamic Lighting/UDL or Global Illumination if you're using Legacy Dynamic Lighting/LDL). If a token (or any image) is a light source, the light always emanated from the center of the token/image, not from everywhere on the image itself. So if you have a map that has both an outdoor bright 'always lit' area and an indoor dark 'only lit with torches or darkvision' area, then you have to set up a bunch of invisible light tokens for the outdoors area. There's no way to designate certain areas be always lit while others are not.
Ah ok. I'm going to do that, than, thanks a lot Jarren!
