Geoff said: Chris T. said: Relieved that we are nearly within the safety of the fortress, Fraener prays to Moradin that Jyrdani and the gate guard can make it back through the doors on time. “We can ill afford any loses let alone one as noble as she!” Norrin hopes the gate guard can free himself, or else he's a goner, but Norrin and Fraener could probably rush out there to help him. Fraener helping with the extraction while Norrin fights off any orcs that attack. Risky, though.... Indeed and Fraener is loathe to see even one drop of Dwarf blood wasted. But if either he or the mighty Norrin are captured in the writhing vegetation then they too will be lost. The greater good must be served. “Run, Jyrdani, run!”
Norrin has some javelins, so he will prepare to throw them at anything uglier than a dwarf that shows its face around the corner of the stockade gate, hopefully giving Jyrdani and the gate guard a fighting chance. He will keep the door to the keep open as long as possible.
"That demon will be over the palisade like a shot. Our only real hope is that this entryway is small enough to hinder its movement, thus slowing it sufficiently for us to make it all the way back. Either that, or it'll go after the archers on the roof. Hopefully, it'll choose us."
“Aye, we must bolt the front door and no doubt. Once it’s shut I shall go up to the roof and challenge this demon. Let him come if he dare!” Tim M. said: "That demon will be over the palisade like a shot. They have a ram. They don't intend to leave these doors shut for long. Let them come, and we will break them with fists, and wood, and steel."
