Alright, we will say we are on the offense and say we rolled a 9 and a 5 on our 2d10(+20) giving us 34 on our Weapon Skill
Now, in a fight, you first roll your initiative (1d10+AB[Agility Bonus]), higher the better.
When it is your turn, you take an action, which can range from Full Actions(Things that take a full turn) or a half-action(Which takes up half a turn, and allows you to do something else). You also get 1 reaction, which you use when it's not your turn, allowing you to make such tests such as dodging or parrying(remember, you only get one so use it wisely). Another action is the Extended action which takes more than one round(one or two rounds to set up, another round to use).
Now, we'll assume you're using a standard attack, which is a half-action(meaning you can use it twice). You roll your weapon skill at 1d100 and, if it's below 34, you hit and then you roll for location of your attack (1d100), let's assume you get 5 and thus hit his head. Now, you roll your damage +Damage and Strength bonus. We'll assume the weapon you're using is a 1d10 weapon and you get a 10, thus triggering something called 'Righteous Fury' and allowing you to roll again, doing more damage. Second roll, you get a 6, doing 16 damage overall+ Strength bonus. Now you subtract the person's Toughness and armor, we'll say he had a toughness of 10 and 0 armor, meaning your attack is subtracted by 1 and only does 15 damage. When all that is done, you have a half-action left to do what you want, and that is your standard Melee Attack.
That is it explained, here is what I just said simplified:
----------------------------------------------------
Weapon Skill is 34(from rolling 2d10+20HWBonus)
In a fight, you roll an Initiative of 9(1d10+agility bonus)
Take a half-action to move(if need be) and a half-action to attack(standard)
You rolled below your Weapon skill (34) and now roll hit location and got 5(head).
Roll damage as indicated on your weapon and got a 10(if 1d5, then roll 1d10/2, if ya roll a 10, follow as indicated) and gained righteous fury(Nat 20) and roll again for more damage and rolled a 6, doing a total of 16 damage.
Enemy has 0 armor and 10 toughness(Toughness bonus of 1) and so withstands one damage of the attack, making you only deal 15 damage to your melee.
If you didn't move anywhere and the enemy was right there, then you can make another half-action.
