I prefer a strong focus on exploration and combat, social encounters are enjoyable as long as they don't drag on for a long time (was recently in a game where we'd often wind up with only 1 combat encounter in a 5 hour session due to drawn out social encounters, and I got frustrated by the slow progress). I also have a tendency to play characters who are at least amoral if not immoral, which can make finding a suitable group difficult

I have been listening to a DnD podcast for over a year, and I have played Baldur's Gate 3, so I know how things work.  • Anything else about yourself (Optional): I like to play video games, bake, and make music. Also, I occasionally might ask to make an animal character, (eg. A Wild Magic Sorcerer Dachshund, or a Rouge Sea Otter,) because I have a DnD compatible sourcebook called Animal Adventures, which allows players to create animal characters. I've been playing very actively since my return, and I'm planning to GM in the near future. I've played on both R20 and FoundryVTT. Anything else about yourself : I'm autistic so not active in social spaces, but I get along well with my groups, and I know how to communicate effectively. I am articulate and confident. I've played almost every different type of character you can imagine including silly and comical, chaotic, serious and dutiful, adventurous, traumatised, hateful, kind, generous, scheming, nervous, humble, crazy, misunderstood, stupid, wise and so on. I do not shy away from topical discussion with my characters but not every character has a 'message' or 'story'. I always create what is interesting to me or seems fun, and I consider the group during the process. I also frame everything in the context of the system, the setting and the campaign. I am interested in various systems, although I am moving away from d20 rulesets after more than 15 years in that space. I like to plan ahead because my brain is very analytical and I'm autistic so everything I make is effective, although the question is sometimes "effective at what exactly?". My dice always tell good stories; whether I want them to or not :D
