Has anyone been successful with this? A bullseye lantern is the equivalent of a flashlight in AD&D. I've got a little graphic for this and I'd love to have the light that comes out to be a narrow beam - preferably coming out of the lens of the lantern, but of course, players will need to be able to rotate it to train the beam on different areas. Anyway, here's what I've got so far. This is a GM's view of a character and the light beside them and then the DL settings for the light: The light beam is 80 feet long here (beyond the dimensions of the room in which the character is). What I don't understand are the characteristics of directional light. Currently it is very wide. Can anyone help? Thanks.
