[LFP][D&D][5E][Sundays][18+] DM seeking 3 players for Homebrew Campaign

Greetings, My name is Jacob, and I'm seeking 5e players. For a game I want to run, I have 1 player for weekly sessions and one on rotation. I am seeking at least 3 more core players for the group. And if you simply want to hang out and listen, that is okay too. Requirements - Free Sunday Evenings - It's a weekly game at 6pm to 10pm CST - Microphone - So much can be lost if a mic cuts out. - Discord - Simply easier to convey information - Good internet - We don't want to slow down the pace of a game if someone drops in and out. - 18+ - Mature and adult themes and topics will crop up. - Friendship - I'd rather us become friends to make communicating easier pertaining to the game About the DM I believe in the idea of creating a core world with a core issue that is apparent, but give the reigns over to the players in what they want to do. May they be interested in running an evil game or good is up to them. My job is to facilitate the reactions of the NPCs and make sure that the sessions are interesting and engaging. I prefer strongly for a game that does have an obvious beginning, an obvious middle, and an obvious end. I've been homebrewing games for about ten years and have found my happy middle ground of what would make for a good group that I'm happy to run games for.  The World Among the ruins of Aeon, it is clear that a great civilization once sprawled the land. Where that civilization has gone, only whispers and rumors exist. For in these wretched lands, only echoes, suffering, and cruelty are understood. The high nobles of the Order of Magistarla is the reigning power, creating safe zones across the lands, often engaging in bloody battles with other high nobles in hopes of uncovering the secrets of the ancients, seeking only to expand their power and influence. For this is the duty of those who are in their safe zone, lest they are insecure from raiders, starvation, and sickness. On this auspicious day, many of the great houses of Magistarla have offered a massive contract to daring men and women to go on a quest into the Garum Crucible, the greatest and most dangerous ruins of the former civilization, to acquire something of significant importance to the Nobility. It is a race against the clock. If successful, priests, plowmen, mercenaries, will be granted a title to elevate them to a Lord or Lady, land within the safe zone, and enough wealth to secure the lives of your family, children, and grandchildren. For those tired of being crushed under the guard, the never-ending threat of slavery, constant starvation, forced to work in the acidic rains of Aeon, this may be the only way out. What Next? Send me the following information if you're interested: 1) Name 2) Age 3) D&D Style 4) RP Experience - In game relationships with other players, adopt character voices, recognize person vs character, etc 5) Some factoids about you 6) Favorite D&D Alignment and why I do have a larger vision in mind, so I will share that with you all once we connect. Happy rolling!
We have 3 players total for the core, and still, we need one more core player! Feel free to post here or send a message if you're interested!
1) Name: Daisy 2) Age: 20 3) D&D Style: Most definitely RP heavy, I tend to be more supportive then assertive really the onion knight of D&D.   4) RP Experience - In game relationships with other players, adopt character voices, recognize person vs character, etc: I have myself been DMing with a RP heavy style for 4 years now and have had large amounts of success.  5) Some factoids about you: I am canadian! The farthest east you can get in canada in fact. I am also a home nurse saving up to go to school to move up to a full on hospital tier nurse. Before scoring the home care job I worked 2 years repairing and running a kids go kart track.  6) Favorite D&D Alignment and why: Lawful neutral, neutral is always the way to go because the world isn't black and white but lawful because it differs you from the true neutral and chaotic neutral "IM THE WILD CARD" people who make questionable decisions and use chaotic neutral as their excuse
1) Name: Wyatt 2) Age: 26 3) D&D Style: I would like to try a more RP heavy style, I am currently DM'ing a newish game with mostly new players at home and it is hard to get them to do some of the RP aspects that I enjoy. 4) RP Experience - I can easily identify between being in character and out, I am still new at trying to do voices but would like to get better. I have played a decent amount and am DM'ing my first game currently. 5) Some factoids about you: I live in Tennesse, I am a huge nerd. I deliver food for work currently. 6) Favorite D&D Alignment and why: I wouldn't say I have a favorite alignment. I try to make it different for each character and try to make them hold true to their values.
1) Name: Storms 2) Age: 37 but act 21 3) D&D Style: I love to play any class really. I will RP, I will combat, I will think outside the box. As long as the group is having fun. 4) RP Experience: So much I can't even name it all (Played since 1995 and on) 5) Some factoids about you: Retired Veteran, father, and avid gamer of tabletop and video. 6) Favorite D&D Alignment and why: I like the Lawful and Neutral alignments, as there is so much you can try to do, as well as so much that limits you and makes you use your head to think out how an action that follows the alignment could work.

id be interested 1)Name: Sors 2)Age: 27 3)D&D Style: Im pretty new to acctually playing, but watched a lot. I like a god mix of Rp and Hard battles that u fell rewarded for winning 4) Rp experience: not good with voices but always can try to improve with experience. You have to know that ppl will do suboptimal or just straight up bad decisions couse thats the way their char will do it. 5) Been watching D&D for years and finnaly decided to play some not long ago. I work 9-17 currently sometimes saturdays also, but have a lot of free time. 6) Dont have a favorite alligment. im cool with playing good or evil characters aas long as they fit the party and dont straight up break ppl appart
1) Name : Gabriel 2) Age : 28 3) D&D Style : I'm not sure how to answer this, I generally prefer role play and exploration but I'm very experienced at combat. I like to have dynamic characters that have character development over time, I don't like to impose my character and background over others, I want everyone to have fun and contribute equally. 4) RP Experience - I've been role playing for  12+ years now but only playing DnD for about 2 years, It will show in my character background, though they tend to be a tad bit dramatic, can't help it! .-.  5) Some factoids about you - Ugh, I have a funny accent?  I have been a dm for two campains that just finished, I want a break from dming and I really want to be a player for now. I own a lot of dnd beyond stuff that I'm willing to share. I do click all of your boxes my mic is good, but a bit low volume, if you just turn me up to max on discord we'll be good.  Hey, let's not get on rpghorrorstories and I'm good!  6) Favorite D&D Alignment and why: I'd say Chaotic good, I generally prefer being a good guy but not a saint type of guy/gal.
I’ve got three players, experienced and tight knit, we’re out of the box thinkers. Would love to hop on discord and ask some questions. #0714JMnomad
Still looking for players?
Hoping you’re still taking applicants... 1) Name: JC 2) Age: 42 (look younger, feel older) been playing one version of D&D or another since the early 90’s and currently run my own game on Saturday. 3) D&D Style: 60/40 Combat/RP (raised on 2ed and where combat was everything) but I can switch it up with the right group and worst case scenario I muddle through 50/50. 4) RP Experience - In game relationships with other players, adopt character voices, recognize person vs character, etc: When I’m playing I try my best to stay within character, was in a Renaissance club in college and had to stay in character a lot. I can adopt voices although it’s hard to maintain for long periods of time depending on the character.  I don’t like being the center of attention but do try to be the voice of reason (assuming that reason means when debating over Option A, sneaking around the bandit camp or Option B attempt to parlay with them; I choose option C, run in screaming “TROLLS, THERE ARE TROLLS EVERYWHERE” and chop down the first bandit I see with my great sword).  5) Some factoids about you: I’m active duty Navy for the last 20 years and I build custom wood furniture in my spare time for fun. I’m big into finding solutions for difficult problems and I’ll spend countless sleepless nights trying to find the answer.  6) Favorite D&D Alignment and why: I would have to go with Chaotic Good, as my heart is in the right place but my methods maybe unorthodox.
Matt 47 yo D&D Style: RP Heavy with some combat thrown in. Let's be someone else and live in a different world for a few hours. I'm ok with sessions with zero combat if the play is fun. No interest if it's just pieces of paper with combat stats and a hack and slash dungeon crawl, boring as can be to me. RP Experience: Played a lot in he 80's-90's just started again at Gencon last year. Would definitely prefer to see the Character vs the Player, and I can kinda-sorta do voices. In game relationships..not entirely sure what you mean here. If you mean romantic relationships I think that might get pretty awkward esp if my relationship is with Freya the Wood Elf Druidess and I'm staring at a dude with a beard and a baritone voice. I understand that is some people's preference and I'm totally ok with it. It's just not mine. Don't think my role playing skills are quite that high. But if it's camaraderie, lifelong friendships, loyal companions, etc then of course, no problem. Some factoids about me? Desperately seeking a group where all players want to seriously role play and be in character. Have tried this face to face and it seems 99% just want to move plastic pieces and roll dice and no one provides a shred of discernible personality. Have been looking in person since Gencon. I don't like players who like to grief other players, like to argue or cause drama, murder hobos, party killers, party thieves, etc. Let's just all have fun, put on our character hats (or helmets, if you will) be nice to each other, and enjoy our GMs awesome world together! Favorite D&D Alignment and why: None, I think the alignment system is difficult at best. Let players play the way they want not conform to some grid of personalities. But I would say NG to CG is how I typically think. Either way, good luck with your GMing and I hope it's a great experience for you and your players!
