TALES OF ANCIENT EMPIRES (Pathfinder Campaign)

Yeah, but that doesn't real fit the type of character I wanted to play as the archer or as the monk, I was thinking of making a half-orc veteran line bowman type of guy.
Here's the character sheet for my ranger: <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431421" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431421</a>
Wait so we have 2 rangers?
He's taking applications. There are way more people posting here than will be playing, I believe. Who knows if you or I will be the chosen ones.
All we can do is keep our fingers crossed until he decides. For the record, I made a wizard character.
OH ok, I don't think I'll be playing that case.
Melee rogue with TWF
A few other points to help in your character creation: About 50% of the Time will be spent on the on the surface, in cities, towns, wilderness, frontier, etc. The other 50% of the time will be spent in darker places, the Underdark, ruins, tombs, dungeons, caves, etc. Success and survival will largely depend on the overall talents of the party, this comment being directed at the Players not the Characters: If this were an actual Face to Face Game played around a real table with real PnP, you would all be discussing how to make up the best most effective party, based on the information you had. Since this is not the case, you have to think of this Forum as that Table. Let me ask you potential players this, would you like me to put up a sort of Virtual Table module, where you can decide to meet and discuss, if I am around I'll answer questions. The Link would be sent to you privately and I'll would leave it up for a while, on most nights. Understand that Game Publishers like to put out as much material as possible, to tempt players by adding more and more ways to customize their characters, they do this BECAUSE IT MAKES MONEY, but at it's roots they still try to make sure that every new class, race, feat, skill, ability, etc does not throw the Game out of balance. Point is if you look at all the options trying to find an edge, there really isn't supposed to be one. It is the Player Behind the Character that makes the Character Seem Real, not the Rule Set Used to Create Him/Her. So enough with the Lecture already: Let Me Know If you think the Virtual Discussion Table module is worth putting up?
I agree Jeff, I create my characters with a personality and background forumalting in my head, not min/maxing. I would be ok with meeting up to iron out the party and see if we need to make any adjustmants, and maybe talk backstory and such.
I think that a virtual discussion table module is a good idea. I might be guilty of min/maxing for both of my proposed, but I have backgrounds and personalities for both of them that I feel are acceptable. I'd be willing to change whatever I need to as well. I'm fairly flexible like that.
How useful would a sit down be until we know who is in the game? I am all for hashing out character details as a party, but if some people don't get included in the actual game, it could throw tactics off; it could be someone who decided to play a cleric isn't involved, requiring everyone else to make adjustments.
Im sure he would only invite those who are playing
Ah, good point.
Here is my rogue so far... Let me know if you see any mistakes. <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431476" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431476</a>
No mistakes save for the XP total for next level is 1000 not 2000.
Corrected, thanks.
Hey all, I've been out of town, but will be posting my characters shortly. I have both a halfling cavalier, and Half-elf fighter made.
Where is the link to the game?
This game isnt starting till after gencon I believe
This game isnt starting till after gencon I believe Ohhh I didn't catch that. Thanks.
Hey Nick, I was checking your character sheet and your stats don't add up. Its 20-point buy, but you've only spent 19 points, so you still have 1 point to put in somewhere - also, for being human, you get a +2 to any stat of your choosing, which it doesn't seem like you've added in either. Just looking it over for you! ( I suggest putting a bit in your strength to up your melee dmg since you're a TWF rogue).
I think I had different stats (including 12 STR) and it did not save properly.. That's very odd. I will correct.
The tentative date for the start of the campaign is going to be Tuesday August 28th at 8:00 PM CDT (midwest USA). I will have the First Episode Up by 6:30 PM for players to log in and get set up, you will need to paste your character sheet into the Character Bio or Manually transfer your information to the standard Pathfinder Roll20 sheet I have been using.
So we can add two character traits? I'll go start looking at traits now lol PS: I will only have 10-11 STR because I will have weapon finesse for +4 to-hit and will be doing most of my damage from sneak attacks and many attacks
Who all is going to be in the game? Also, I need to add traits to my character.
Characters should have been made using the Corebook and the Advanced Player's Guide, anything in those two books can be used at level 1 creation. This means that the Traits in the APG can be used and I believe you would normally get two.
The shadow across the moon seemed large enough, but how could it be, know one had seen anything like it in a 1000 years. Yet the whispers of an impending doom, hushed phrases of subtle terror, who to believe...............what to believe? But we know the Draahgan have returned, revived their evil sect. And what of the talk about................the Egg. From a Song of Gizellmo, bard of Green Brotherhood sung last week at the Hawk's Roost.
Hello. I just saw your post after being away from roll20 for a while to finish up my summer quarter. Your campaign sounds interesting and well thought out. I don't suppose you have room for one more? I can play pretty much anything as far as balancing pre-existing party roles goes.
All I can tell you is create a character and EMail it to me. There are quite a few players who have shown an interest, I can't guarantee you a spot, but I would like to see what you come up with.
I cant wait for this to start!
Bumping with my sheet :) <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=432072" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=432072</a>
bump
Because of an overwhelming response, I am going to try and run the Same Campaign for Two Separate Groups on different nights, I'm thinks Tuesday and Thursday. I have received a lot of Characters, however I will do my best to accommodate everyone if possible. Send a Level 1 Character using the 20 point buy, and the Pathfinder Core Book or Advanced Player's Guide. Send in either PDF, TEXT, WORD, or HERO LAB format. PDF is preferred. <a href="mailto:ajaxthecleanser@att.net" rel="nofollow">ajaxthecleanser@att.net</a> The first Session is Scheduled for Tuesday August 28th at 8:00 PM, if you are one of the Players in that group you will get the LINK around 6:30 PM CDT, if you can log in before 8:00 and get your AUDIO set up that would be a boon. As long as you have a Copy of the Character Sheet that you sent me, You will not need to upload a sheet. Remember Players, you need to send me a Character before the First Session or I cannot promise you a spot in the initial Campaign.
Yay
Bump with updated sheet. Stats should make more sense now... Also, which deities are we using? The regular pathfinder ones or custom ones or...?
In all three Pantheons Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, and Golarion there are Deities that are essentially the same, just different names. I would think along the Forgotten Realms if you want to get technical. But the Pathfinder Gods would be okay too.
Since this is the first character I'm making, I'm just wondering on how important the trapfinding rogue ability is. I wanted to choose an archetype (Knife master likely) but I would have to sacrifice the bonus and the ability to find magical traps. What does everyone think?
You could always throw your knife at ALL the traps :)
Do we have a gnome? Throwing the gnome is always a good test for traps
I'll just stick to a generalist for now since its my first character..
Attention: Potential Players, Myth Weaver Sheets are READ ONLY and will not suffice, please send me a PDF of the your Sheets. I know they are out there because I have gotten several. RANDY L. can you let everyone know where you did your sheet it is a very good format. I am going to run two separate campaigns, one Tuesday for Sure, and one either Wednesday or Thursday. You can only play in one Campaign. I would like everyone to respond with which day you prefer. Not everyone is going to be able to play on Tuesday, I am going to limit is to 6 to 7 players per Campaign. I have adequate Character Sheets from 9 players, still need sheets from those who used Myth Weaver. I will put up a Roster of Players soon. You will not be disappointed if you play in either session, they will both use the same material. One last Note I will except Two more Potential Players, you will need to Send a PDF of your Level 1 Pathfinder Character to me. Use 20 Point Buy Corebook or Advanced Players Guide. The Pathfinder Lodge awaits your arrival................................
<a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?0yhgcxb8l3dfdh6" rel="nofollow">http://www.mediafire.com/?0yhgcxb8l3dfdh6</a> I got it from that url. Took me some digging to find it lol. Also prefer Tuesdays
I'd prefer Tuesday, but I'm good for either campaign.
Attention Ajak: Right click and select print on a Myth Weaver sheet it works I've done it. Anyway I'll get a PDF from somewhere.
Sorry, Right click did NOT give me a print option.
I know I haven't submitted a character yet (I should be able to get one hammered out tonight and submitted) but as of yet I believe I can do either day depending on when the intended end of session time will be. Start and end time would be great.
Sessions will run from 8:00 PM and will always end by Midnight CDT.
I'm good for either night, where ever my character would fit in best.
Roster of Players: 1 Human Paladin.............................Kevin M 2 Elf Cleric.......................................Jared P 3 Dwarf Wizard................................Darren W 4 Halfling Bard.................................Joe L 5 Half-Elf Bard.................................BreakManZ 6 Dwarf Cleric..................................Randy L 7 Half Elf Paladin..............................Galen M 8 Half-Orc Fighter............................Gnomo P 9 Human Paladin..............................Joel V 10 Half-Elf Wizard..............................Todd W 11 Half-Elf Ranger..............................Architorture 12 Human Rogue...............................Nick R (no PDF from him however) 13 Human Cleric.................................Leif H 14 Human Barbarian...........................Doug R Two Campaigns 7 players each. If anyone is planning on switching to a Different Character, Do it before Sunday Night, make sure you have a PDF, and make sure you Send Me a Private Message Here as well as an EMail.
