OOC General Talk

hey there folks :) so as you may know i'm DM'ing my own 2EAD&D game every other Saturday in my apartment. We have our second game session coming up this Saturday. i thought i'd share the plot summary here with you all and get your thoughts about how it seems to be flowing so far. without further ado: Session 1 - They awoke in a large rolling plain about an hours walk West of Corath having all shared a similar dream involving the ancient Dwarven Warhammer named "Barathuum". A burning circle surrounded each of the party as they regarded each other and tried to make sense of their sudden appearance far outside of their homes. Three humans with all black eyes confronted the party mumbling of "plague" "death" "war". Unable to question the humans, the party continued onto The Highroad towards Corath. Arriving in town the party spread out in their investigations finding clues regarding the strange sickness which has been afflicting only humans in the city of Corath. They also sought clues to explain how they arrived in the plain and the mysterious dragon like figure present to some of them in their dream. The townspeople spoke of a massive blue dragon that appeared every night flying over the city and afflicting the terrible "disorienting" sickness to any or all humans that looked upon it. Brecken the paladin, Shamun the priest, Thula the psionic and Rendleth the ranger have all taken shelter in the large Temple to Ukko near the town square while Elanys the rogue and Solveig the mage when to investigate a house where they decided to shelter until the dawn. Earlier in the afternoon the party had entered The Culled Axe and spoke to several people within including the owner, Moradin, regarding possible whereabouts of a cult which may be involved in the strange illness and dragon appearing over the city each night. In the town square Rendleth had spoken with Magnus the Half Orc Caravan Master about potential work guarding the caravan after overhearing Magnus complaining about the guards walking off the job and the remaining ones demanding more money. After questioning the parties ability for the job Magnus has been forced to offer it to the party as no other guards are willing nor able to do the job for the price; 10 gold per person upon delivery of the goods. Magnus did not reveal the ultimate destination of the caravan to the Drow Ranger yet told him and the party to arrive at dawn in the town square if they are interested and he would give them the rest of the information. The party awaits the 10pm hour with some trepidation....

That sounds cool. Some parts are eerily parallel to the adventure we've been playing, haha. Familiar tropes I guess. The plague, sickness, dragon reported flying over, town square, caravan... But then it's the PC's who are the most different and hallmarks. I haven't even brought-in Psionics on this campaign. How is your game's Psionic working out? Your other PC profiles sound interesting as well. How many Players do you have? The blue dragon sounds like a big bad creature. So far in Homebrew we haven't seen any chromatic dragons in the Homebrew campaign but they have fought-killed a Pan-Lung (Asian Swamp) dragon, and met a couple dragonettes (Fire Drake, Faerie Dragon, and Pseudodragon). There is a place 250-300 miles away called "The Dragon Run" that is known to have migrations of all kinds of dragons, all ages too. It is on the Continent map and can even be seen from space on the world map globe. I have to admit that I am sitting here, tonite a few hours after our game, 1. Thinking back on the climactic scene of Awa Avignon today's session. Thinking about the 2 newest Characters, the gnome & the priest of Ilmater. And about the Witch summoning their Familiar between sessions. 2. Thinking about what kind of maps-places-pictures to set up for next week depending on where the party might go. Ahhh the mysteries and vagaries of DM prep. That DM life. Another (our game but ooc) question, did it work for watching the 18-minute Robin Hood / Rutterkin find familiar video from my dropbox? I'm a DM who likes to place a fair amount of importance on Familiars, and, surprisingly that video from my archives is specifically on-point for Witches. I originally posted it for a non-witch mage but I noticed it's even more relevant for Cylara .
I didn't get the link actually... unless you linked it in Discord... i'll go check there. Our Psionic user hasn't displayed any powers yet however when they do it should be pretty interesting. Most people in my game world (The Seven Kingdoms of Padros) believe that mind powers are only used by beings with evil intent. They are also a Dwarf which are view very favorably in game by all the other races due to their rarity and that most whom are encountered are merchants with valuable items for sale. We have 6 players with another that may or may not be able to show up on a regular basis. that requires me to sit at another table to have all my things so the gaming orientation is different than i'm used to.

Rainbow, here's a video edit I made from an old show, it's about Witches and their bond with their Familiars. It's actually something I put together for showing to any Mage PC's who are casting Find Familiar but it happens to be especially on-point for Witches. The episode title is "Rutterkin" and that is kind of a code-name for a familiar too, in this case a pig famil. Watch link (18 minutes), https://www.dropbox.com/s/68rjqhan2pw2h4j/Rutterki... Oh, haha, when all 6 players show up you move to a different DM table? I always keep little side-tables when I DM in person. They are portable foldable tv-dinner wooden tables and they are short enough to slide almost under the main table, so my papers can be by my sides and hideable. In fact I use the same side table when we Roll20. It has my dice and pencil/notepad and green tea on it right now, still from today. I like 6 PC's for a party. It's a great party size in AD&D. I have to say, my experience is, when you have 6 or more players registered, you still only have 4-5 players a fair amount of the time, due to someone needing to leave early or start late for some reason or other. Are you running an adventure module (as it reads, or heavily modified)? Or is that completely your group's improvised scenarios that are coming to light from your imagination? I don't think it is the same module (Citadel By The Sea) but sounds like it has some of the similar elements, in fact I can name 2 other modules that also come to mind with similarities in the plague rumors. Another thing you have is Drow, which I have not used yet in this campaign. RS another response I could use from you, for this campaign, if you can help me, find or name some magical items that would appeal to an elf witch. Is there anything higher that you are questing for? Or anything lower-moderate power that you would simply find useful? What about any expendables that you hope to collect? Do you like more potions, rings, wands, scrolls, or mostly the odd stuff like hats? Asking For Cylara. Since we are talking.
i've created a series of modules that we're going to run as well as mixing in some of the more famous ones from the TSR days, in particular the G Series - Against the Giants and the Q - Series. i have two over arching story lines which the party can choose to investigate in whatever way they want.. mixing and matching even with a bunch of random encounters and such here and there. i have created modules and adventures for the party until they get to about 15-18th level...if the group can stay together that long. given our every two week schedule that is several years worth of gaming and it can be hard to keep a group going for that sort of time. geographically it can be tricky since i live in downtown Seattle when people come here they have to pay for parking until 7pm. i've even considered moving the game start until then however nobody seems to have an issue with it so we'll see. i do move to another table when the full group is here and when our 7th player shows up i'm not sure what i'm going to do :) i have half a mind to ask that player to wait since they are only able to join us for half of the evening anyway. in terms of items and keeping it within my character concept hmm.... in terms of a lower power item i was thinking of something like a Singing Skull from the Complete Wizards; once per day it sings eerie or depressing songs and everyone but the owner within 50' has to make a save v. spell or be affected by a *Fear* spell. in terms of more powerful/epic sorts of things... i was thinking that something along the lines of the Staff of the Magi since a Staff of Power is more oriented towards mages that can use a weapon and a Witch cannot gain a weapon prof hence the choice of the Magi v. Power stave. in terms of disposables... i do enjoy a good brewing and such so potions are right up my alley more so than scrolls really. in terms of questing...harder to say however that appeals to me as a player so i'll give it more thought.

That's all very interesting. In terms of campaigns, I can't help but to compare, and I feel very similar in terms of the possibility / hope / and outline-of-adventures that could take the party from 1st to 3rd, to 5th... to 8th, 9th level... on up to 10-11-12th... and then possibly to 15th-20th at the end. If we go that far. Some of the seeds that were planted from the start of the game would affect & connect with adventures at the later levels, if it all continues building and connecting. As well, the mixing of classic modules & home-planned material, and seeing what the party chooses along the way, also matches what I'm trying to do here. Cylara magic items to look for, I think the Singing Skulls is a very good one (for sooner, like you said). One of those might be around indeed. You just need to keep looking through any piles of skulls that you find. Like the "Catacombs of Paris" if you Google Images that place. The Staff Of The Magi, is a major item indeed, that sort of item is worth "questing" in the sense of.... you're looking for one. If you ever hear of one, and where to get it, then you'd go there. It's not necessarily a quest item in terms of ties to your backstory, but just in terms of legendary power and utility. It's a high magic world so there are multiple staffs like this, possessed mostly by powerful magi obviously, and so this Staff would have a reputation that you would know about, but not a common treasure find. It would be a difficult kill to obtain it, probably at a moderately higher PC level (6th-7th?). I'll make note of those 2, if you think of anything else along those lines, mention them. You'll still be surprised by what you find in the game, I'll make sure there are surprises afoot.
Hey Silk, if you could please pass along from me, "Central Casting were several of the greatest RP books ever made," to J.J. In fact I think if you went way back into the archives for this campaign I recommended them on the boards. :) I also have other news for her---happy news---about the rights & content on the Bard's Tale book series. I checked with Misty, and it appears that all that was written for the contents of the novels is canon, and freely usable by JJ in the reboot. Also, if you'd like us to write an intro or something, let us know, we're happy to help.
Hey Silks, I thought you would love to see this. Marion Zimmer Bradley wrote a terrific character named Lythande. Lythande was an androgynous character very much like Cylara is, and Lisa Waters asked me to do the cover art for the great collection of all the Lythande stories ( https://books.google.com/books/about/The_Complete... ) . That above is the completed cover (shrunk way down from the original 283mb painting file size) :) Most of the covers from the original books were quite nice, but almost always showed Lythande turning away or fleeing or acting kind of victim-ish. But Lythande was a bard-mage, as in, could use music to tear your damned face off. I wanted to---finally---do a picture where Lythande looked like every bit of the badass that they were. It was very sweet that when I turned it in, Lisa called almost immediately and said, "I don't know how you did it, but you somehow reached back into Marion's brain and pulled out Lythande. That is exactly how we pictured Lythande. Exactly."
That looks brilliant Larry! All viewed through a novice's eyes, so I'm not the best judge, but still :-)
hi Larry! i know that character and i really enjoyed those books quite a bit! truth be told, i've not read a work of fiction for nearly 20 years. i've filled these past decades with books on religion, art, philosophy and history. I did, however, have a chance to meet Neil Gaiman and i brought my hardback copy of A Game of You for him to sign. it was really emotional for me and he asked me behind the desk that he was signing and just hugged me and talked to me, directly, without anyone else able to hear... and i just cried on his shoulder and told him how much his work had affected me during my life. he thanked me for finding meaning and value in one of his characters.
Hello, everyone! Here is the link for my Books section at Mediafire: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/29u34p41un453/Boo... I put the audio books I have in there. Unfortunately they are not complete. It looks like some of them are missing a file here and there. Most of them are 100% though. Take all you like and enjoy!
I feel somewhat bad that i made our co-gm's first encounter go quite differently than expected! Welcome aboard :)

I think this needs to be seen...especially since the Shaman Norwegian Forest Cat is so much like how I picture Cylara ANYWAY... :) http://geekxgirls.com/article.php?ID=6661 (Adding this pic, the Shaman one Larry offered comparison to Cylara -- Gold)
Just as a side note, I'm having Kricket write a lot of aggressive and negative things in his journal. I wanted to make sure that you guys realize that that's things that HE would write in character, and don't reflect my opinions as a player. Kricket is mainly using it to vent about things, and to lie to himself. Anything that's written should be taken with a grain of salt.
That is solid, Bonez! Similarly, anything I write about Horukh in Journals right now is going to be a seething electrical mess, and further, I can't reveal any significant parts of the mysteries! Seems like Kricket is actually angry that things are not as awful as he expected things to be! He has a big smart cat for a friend, a minotaur to sponsor him, and a "new burrow" in the form of the Challengers and Portlandio. And that's NOT how it's supposed to happen! Grrr! :) Valkenhayn is discovering that Furnace has a sly sense of humor, and that hulking, ugly, average-smarts Sigma actually has high amounts of both honor and common sense. So while he can't match Valk in sheer brains, Sigma can dominate on a fiery, bloodied battlefield, keeping any number and type of troops or guerillas safe and triumphant, but fail on a chessboard. Also OOC, Gold and I set up the storyline for the Challengers PCs to investigate and seek out the evils in the city. Because of that, as a player I am recused from doing a lot of things based upon player inside knowledge. IE: I'm not leading anyone in a Chosen Direction. That is for y'all to get into! PCs besides Horukh, Sigma and Furnace must be the ones to seize the initiative. So you'll need to be proactive about it. Horukh tricked his tormentors by adding in that the Challengers can operate freely, and Horukh intends for that to become the evildoers' undoing. Even if you don't give a damn about Horukh on a personal level, having The Margave owe you favors is a Big Deal.

"But who is at the center? The puppet master pulling all the strings and watching everyone dance..." The Gnomes! It's always the damn gnomes! Trust gnome one.
A few general questions for the group, Where would I be able to find more details about the priest spell, command (LvL 1, command sphere)? The link to the spell in purple worm doesn't work. The spell Spiritual Hammer (LvL 2, command sphere), says that the hammer continues to make attacks so long as the spell caster keeps concentration. What type of action is required to concentrate on a spell? How do I figure out the xp value for writing a journal entry? Is there a way to use Dex to hit with small melee weapons like daggers, or is it best to just throw them?

Good game questions. I'll see if I can answer this faster than Paul does. And I think I've managed to answer all 4 of those questions. Here is Command (Pr 1) from a PurpleWorm link that I was able to reach through the Tome of Magic index, http://purpleworm.org/rules/PHB/DD02124.htm In case that doesn't open, Command (PR 1) Sphere: Charm Range: 30 yds. Component: Verbal only -- one of the interesting features of this spell, you only need to speak (no hand motions needed). Duration: 1 rd. Casting Time: 1 Area of Effect: 1 creature Saving Throw: None except those over 13 INT or over 6HD get Save Vs Spell. This spell enables the priest to command another creature with a single word. The command must be uttered in a language understood by the creature. The subject will obey to the best of his/its ability only as long as the command is absolutely clear and unequivocal; thus, a command of “Suicide!” is ignored. A command to “Die!” causes the creature to fall in a faint or cataleptic state for one round, but thereafter the creature revives and is alive and well. Typical commands are back, halt, flee, run, stop, fall, go, leave, surrender, sleep, rest, etc. No command affects a creature for more than one round; undead are not affected at all. Creatures with Intelligence of 13 (high) or more, or those with 6 or more Hit Dice (or experience levels) are entitled to a saving throw vs. spell, adjusted for Wisdom. Spiritual Hammer --- Concentration normally means that your main action for each round is concentrating to control your spell. You can walk around at your movement rate (and I would allow the Character to defend yourself so your AC and DEX still applies), but you wouldn't be able to cast another spell, or do another attack, while concentrating. I'm not as strict about it as some DM, but still want you to perform some 'concentrating' if required per spell description. BTW I think that I have allowed Swargen to let-loose his Spirit Hammer spell without requiring concentration, and that is a special tweak because he is a Priest of Thor (the god of hammers). Journal XP plateaus off at these rates once you are 4th Level or higher. (I give a lower pro-rated amount for PC's Level 1-2-3 so they don't advance too fast). Journal XP for 4th Level and Up +620 Journal includes original picture, mashup, or sound. +550 Journal with words & Google picture +500 Journal with words no pictures. +200 Journal that is very short, quick, and minimal. And for general practice I would like you to "propose" your Journal XP in the chat room, and I will answer "Approved" and then you can put the XP on your character Bio Tab, completing the cycle. Note: Your Journal XP will probably usually be 550 or 620 for the rest of the game. There is not a way (as far as I can think of) to use DEX for To-Hit with Melee weapons, even daggers, in this game (I know that is a thing in later editions, it just isn't contemplated in 2E for the most part). It is STR for modifying melee To Hit. You are correct that throwing the dagger is an option for taking advantage of your DEX bonus and avoiding your STR if it brings a penalty. Usually it's not a huge swing of numbers between the two, and the PC just does whichever method fits the situation, rather than needing to optimize. But if your STR is really bad, and your DEX is really good, then it would make sense to focus more on throwing weapons and shooting.
So I will be accepting a Job offer on monday afternoon. It looks strongly like I can get Tuesdays off. However, I don't know how many sessions I'm going to have to miss for training, or even if I'm 100% to get Tuesdays off, but I'm going to try my hardest. I will keep you all in the loop as much as possible.
I wont be able to be there on Tuesday, June 27th. Family is coming into town.
Here I was in a real spacesuit at NASA yesterday. Turns out they really like me here and I may have some work with them. Also, This is Misty (Mercedes Lackey) and me in the (actual) Orion Capsule.
I found a sad dilemma today. There was an injured crow laying in a urban road. Its legs were tucked under it, and one of it's wings were obviously broken. I took a chance and decided to move it off the road and place it under a bush using my jacket and a hard binder. The poor thing couldn't put up any form of resistance beyond glaring at me. After I moved it, I realized that its lower beak was broken. I poured a few drops from my water bottle into its gasping mouth, and continued my walk home. Only thing is, did I do the right thing? I acted on the personal belief that most living creatures cling to life no matter how painful it is. By moving it off the road and into relative safety I extended it's life, but it'll likely die from a dog, dehydration, or from it's injuries in a day or two. Would it have been more merciful to flag down a driver to run it over and end it's suffering? Should I have called a vet or wildlife rehab center to come and euthanize it? What will the children of the house think when they find a dead crow in their yard tomorrow?
Well that is a hard call. You can look at it a few ways. The most important thing is that it is done and it is the past now. Try not to dwell upon it. I wish you could have contacted me immediately when you encountered it, as I've raised quite a number of crows, and I could have given some guidance from the details I'd have asked you for. As it is, well, its chances are pretty slim but, that was not because of you, that was because of its injuries. Even from what you've been able to tell me, it might not have even made it through rehab under someone like me, or in vet care, and candidly, there are so many millions of crows that few vets would work very hard to save it. As for whatthe children will think upon encountering death, well, that's a teachable moment.

Well, there wasn't any blood, but one of his wings appeared to be held at an odd angle. That said, when I picked him up his wings naturally folded against his body. His legs were tucked under his body like a bird in flight, so I couldn't tell if there was anything wrong with them. It was breathing heavily with its beak wide open. I assumed that its lower beak was broken because I saw a hard, bone like piece shifting back and forth towards the back of his tongue. Cracked might have been a better description of the beak. There's a chance that it was just suffering from head trauma and needed time to recover, but I doubt it. His feathers were long, and his eyes were black/brown, so I know he wasn't a youth. If you think that there's something I can do for it, I'm open to trying. Its about a 15 minute walk from here. Sadly I wouldn't be able to give it a place to recover (rent contract), and any animal professionals are not at work at this time of day.
Sound like the poor thing got literally hit by a truck. Best thing to do is probably leave a message so they can recover it if it's still there because it's probably as good as dead by your description. Hopefully for the kid school's done maybe? Hello BTW. (Same Bonez right?)
Well that is better news than I first suspected. A crow has a complex tongue, and when they are trying to cool off, they widen the breathing channel by switching thetongue to one side of the mouth. That hard bonelike part you saw may have been the glottal structure of the tongue; it may also have been a piece of bone on its way into the gullet to be digested. You may have found it in a state of slight concussion and dehydration, and did the right thing by giving it water. It may not have swallowed it all, but it didn't hurt. It could have beensubject to a sideswipe and/or turbulence. Crows heal incredibly quickly; for example my crow Vel, who was with me for 7 years, healed so quickly that when he was blown out of the nest by a storm as a fledgling, both his legs had set askew by the time I reached the location I'd been called to. And, he got around pretty well. We often see one-legged crows do fine in the wild. This means that even if the crow had a break, or most likely a sprain, the fact that the wing folded up at all means it wasn't a twist compound or similar deadly break, it may have already set by the time you found it.

The tongue gullet sounds like that was what I saw. I'm still not 100% sure about the wing, I was avoiding moving it or upsetting the bone. I'll double check on it tomorrow and report back about what I find. Sorry Eddyall, I dont recall where I know you from. Were we in a campaign together some time ago?

Playtest last autumn. Also good it's probably not dead.
Playtest is a very vague way to describe something. If it clears anything up, This is my second time playing 2e A D&D. Last autumn I was in a group of 11 to 15 people who were playing an evolving game of D&D. We were currently RP'ing youth who were exploring the wilderness in search of supplies to bring back to the settlement. Said youth had been born as D&D races, and had acquired D&D classes, despite being born from human parents. One of the memorable scenes was when a gnome was snatched up by a giant bird and dropped from from a height of over a thousand feat. His body kinda splattered over the people who caught him.
Minotaur with a ranch rings any bells?

Ah yes, I remember her well. I knew of some campaigns that were looking for players, but when I double checked, they had met their quota. I double checked on the crow this morning. The wings were folded tight against the body, and the beak was not cracked. However it was in rigamortis. I assumed that it died from internal injuries or poison last night.
Bonez IMO you did the right thing. People often count out animals (and even people) too early in my opinion. Life is extremely hardy and I'm going to share some of my experiences with spiders here to hopefully give you a wider view on things. Now bare in mind that birds are a lot less robust than spiders given that spiders are probably hardiest class of animals on the planet. But if I had to give a second place it would probably be birds or apes anyway. Now I have received/found tarantulas that have been literally ENCASED in solid ice and after about 4 hours of defrosting they were walking about just fine and eating and drinking just fine. I've seen spiders with only 2 legs and no fangs survive. I've known spiders to forgo eating and drinking both by choice and involuntarily for over 3 years at a time. I've known tarantulas that have survived a fall from the largest waterfall in the world and survived and I have received tarantulas covered in parasitic mites, thin as paper with multiple mangled legs and mangled internal organs survive. The crow may have died but it probably just a likely survived and given how smart crows are it may even remember that you helped it and be grateful in the future. I've met raven and crow keepers in England that have told me that the wild crows that they tended to and fed, will visit them at their house and will bring them loads of shiny things like coins and foil. Seemingly as gifts.
Sigma's city attunement reminded me of this.

Bonez , that minotaur comic is perfect. Believe it or not Sigma actually tried to recognize the unfamiliar Orc metropolis streets as a Maze on his 1st day in Kimba Hai (last week when you had to miss). He failed of course, welcome to Boston, enjoy your stay, good luck not getting lost a lot. Your timing of posting that comic was spot-on. Paul -- You will appreciate this next meme, so read on & click the 2 links. This kid's dad said he played D&D "once or twice" -- Look at their game maps. Everyone check this out. Click the Imgur link for the pictures of his dad's D&D collection. Read the Reddit link for the actual story. Posted yesterday, this is making a splash in the old school RPG community. AD&D Turns out my dad is a HUGE D&D fan. 1e (Reddit link for the full story and replies) submitted 23 hours ago I never played until this year, and I off handedly mentioned it to my dad. He said he played it once or twice. I come over to help him clean out his garage and find these: https://imgur.com/a/urKOE . Turns out he's been rocking the first edition since he learned to play in the Navy in the '70s. These pictures don't do it justice - for every one thing I snapped a photo of, there's 10 more things.

I've read that reddit article, pretty amazing xd Once or twice: 12 year long campaigns, lol. It must have been.
Man, those were the days. Bright eyes, bright mind, exploring an entirely new concept of game: a hybrid of human oral tradition, playing with dolls, math, models, statistics, and acting. We didn't think of ourselves in terms of being innovators. We just wrote that material back then because there was no place to buy it. We had to roll our own. Occasionally I find some of my old campaign maps and I can SEE the beginnings of my career, and of the whole industry, and then I see 30-some years later some of the companies are still reusing my artwork, my maps, my background material. Back then we had so much energy, so much creativity, so much, well, endurance. Each thing we created energized us. Now look at it... millions of personal stories told, characters that are extensions of our personalities, and in some cases, all those gamers meet our old characters as NPCs. Now I can't even keep up with everything happening in a single game, but trying to feels as good as ever. Sometimes I'll see some Judge's Guild, or Talislanta, or some Steve Jackson Games stuff, and I'll flip the pages and find my same old artwork reused for the 25th year... Or I'll see a vintage Grenadier mini at a convention and I just have to explain to whoever's nearby, "That's my old player character. No, not like it, I mean, that actually is my old player character. Andy Chernak owned the company then, and Julie Guthrie did the sculpt, and this was just after he'd reached 5th level..." And I sometimes have a cane or walking stick, and I realize, in the real world, now I * AM * the NPC encounter of with the old guy who knows the history of things....
We have a game tomorrow, right? I assume so.

Cat F. said: We have a game tomorrow, right? I assume so. Yes, let play! Tuesday July 5, the usual time. It is listed on Next Game Time on the details page. I'm due to post a Schedule thread for July dates. Continuing the regular schedule for the most part.
I'll be there tomorrow.
As far as I know I'm good for tomorrow.
I never played until this year, and I off handedly mentioned it to my dad. Man... you can tell that was a work of love. This is why nothing can beat pen & paper gaming... The sheer creativity of it all!
When I was in Europe, I had the bad fortune to go to a beach one day. There were a variety of swim suits, but the most common one was a speedo/thong. The terrifying part was seeing older people who were a bit over weight. It was difficult to tell if they were male, or female, even though they were topless. The demon that we fought today reminded me of this. Bloated, ugly, and shouting about us killing its children.
