Looking for Dark Hersey GM

I am looking to put together a Dark Heresy game and have enough people to do so, however no one is experienced enough to be a GM. So if you are experienced enough and are interested I, along with the rest of the people interested, would be very grateful.
Do you want to the play 1st Edition or 2nd Edition playtest?
If I had to guess, I'd say 1st Ed. I'll go ask the rest of the guys what they want.
I have the rules for 1st but if you would like to play 2nd then that would be fine with me.
I'd like to give 1st a try, if only because I've already got the books and a character idea...

I do not care what we use. I am very good with adapting. I think I only have a 1st edition core rule book. As the GM I am more willing to let you pick what Ed you are better using. I will play what ever you want to.
I'd say let's go with 1st Ed. The ones that answered are more familiar with that one.
Well now we have to wait for Sou Fueki to reply. It seems like everyone in the part at less has knowledge of 1st Ed. With 4 people and our hopefully GM. We might be ready for the game.
Sweet. We just need to work out a time, then. My Sunday afternoon D&D game just fell through...

Well I am very flexible when it comes to time and date. Sunday I will be free to play after 4 PM my time ((Pacific Time Zone, UTC -8)) which is 7 pm eastern. Right now Tuesday might be my other rp night. Still that one is still pending on a sure date every week. I do have a character made. I hope it is ok if I play a rebellious scum.
PST here, too, and anytime after about 4-5 PM on Sunday works for me. I'm still learning how to make a character, but I think I'm familiar enough with the setting that I could manage a Hospitaller. (The book does say to check with the GM before making an Adepta Sororitas character, but I'm not sure if that just applies to the actual Sisters of Battle. You know, because they're the ones with the power armor and the bolters and stuff.)

See that class is not part of the basic core book. So it up to the GM if they wish to use the expansion pack or just stay with the basic core. While I only have the basic core rule book. I would not mind if we used the expansion pack. I would love to get some new items in the game. Maybe have some fist weapons. Like a lighting claw or some Neuro Gauntlet. It just depends on the GM if he feels the expansion pack will add more or hurt the game. Nothing like ruining the fun with a level 1 person in power armor with plasma guns. FYI everyone can use power armor and bolters. It just takes use a lot of training before we start getting all the good stuff. Even as scum I can use power armor bolter/plasma weapons. I just have to have the skills and money to get them.
Ohhh. Well, here's hoping he's got it, then. And yeah, I ruled out the straight-up Battle Sister immediately, because I didn't want a (potentially) overpowered character who'd run roughshod over every last enemy while not really doing anything outside combat. The Hospitaller's starting armor is pretty good, but the starting weapon is a stub revolver, which I think is relatively weak, so I figured that'd still be okay, balance-wise. Mainly, I picked it so I could handle the medical side of whatever investigations we wind up doing.
I can give anyone a link to download any expansion book, I have all of them.

Having 2 melee and 2 range weapons. Which the Range weapons are an auto pistol and an autogun. With one spare clip. This makes me more of a glass cannon. Also Power armor is not really that great. Sure it adds 1 - 2 more armor then storm trooper armor but at the cost that your armor might fail in the middle of combat. Lol how bad would that be your armor shuts down at like round 2 - 3 and someone has to spend X amount of rounds to change your power pack. >.> Sadly I would rather have to storm trooper armor and pray none of the enemies will have plasma/meta guns. Everything else just does not have enough pen to get throw the storm trooper armor.

I only have the Core book. Could I get a link for the Inquisitors Handbook, Blood of Martyrs, Daemon Hunter, and Dark Heresy-Deathwatch. I still plan to roll a scum. I would like to see some of the new home worlds and starting gear. This does not even have the Inquisitor's book.

Cool and Thanks. Do not worry to much about Daemon Hunter and Deathwatch. From what I been reading they are there for veteran players. Most of us are new to the game. So we should not worry about all the extra advance stuff. If you really want Daemon Hunter. Here is the link for that. <a href="http://www.4shared.com/office/NVqxwM6A/warhammer_40000_-_dark_heresy_.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.4shared.com/office/NVqxwM6A/warhammer_40000_-_dark_heresy_.html</a>
I agree, my favorite expansion is the Blood of Martyrs.

Yeah so I downloaded all but Deathwatch. Not even sure if the GM will let use use BoM and DH. As the Sisters of Battle and Grey Nights are op. They are ther for advance games. Also I found the Ultimate Players Guide for the Inquisitor's Handbook. <a href="http://www.4shared.com/get/8cor1trL/warhammer_40000_roleplay_-_dar.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.4shared.com/get/8cor1trL/warhammer_40000_roleplay_-_dar.html</a> . Is that the same thing as a normal book or does this one have some extra stuff.
If I were to guess I would say no DH, they are super op.
Chas B. said: If I were to guess I would say no DH, they are super op. Adepta Sororitas Sisters of Battle from BoM is still op.They are good for replacing someone. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvAC3MUgjEk" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvAC3MUgjEk</a>. Video of problems you can have with a BoM Sister of Battle. Note there are sisters of battle in the Inquisitor's Handbook. They are called the Adepta Sororitas.
Hmm. I originally got the Sister Hospitaller class from Blood of Martyrs (p. 96), which said that it basically works like an Adept from the core book, only with access to different skills/talents. But I just started going over the Inquisitor's Handbook, which has "Adepta Sororitas" as a class, and one of the ranks of that one is literally called "Hospitaller." So I'm a bit confused about how these three books work together now. (Assuming they're even meant to, I mean. Maybe I could just use the BoM+Core version of the Hospitaller and call it good...)

How it works out. That the Sister of Battle from the Blood of Martyrs is more of an advance class them self. At rank one you can have power armor and a bolter. This class is more of if you have a group of veteran players who do not want to start with a low level character or if you have to replace a player and your like half way through a game. This makes an easy way to replace that higher level player. With out spending to many hows trying to get the new player up to par.
If anyone having a hard time creating their character. Here is a nice web sight for you. <a href="http://www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/Default.aspx" rel="nofollow">http://www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/Default.aspx</a>
Thanks, William. Was just wondering if there was something like that out there. Also, just because I'm unclear: have we had luck tracking down a GM?

NP, It not perfect but it does the trick. It at less gets you started on the stuff. We can always change some stuff on the first meeting. As for a GM. It looks like Sou Fueki is wanting to be our GM but I am not sure. As he just asked what version we want. He has not even replied to my private message. So I guessing he was not online today.
Hate to do this but.... [bump]

I can always have a char done in 3 minutes, so I'm set.
hehe Cool. I know some others are having a hard time.
i have i character read some minor tweet need but the basics are there
Cool. Same here. My character needs some minor tweaks. Still staying on the hive world but I will be from Gunmetal City. Maybe start my self with a Metallican Gunslinger starter rank and not the normal rank of Dreg. This comes with pro's and Con's. Biggest Con being I can only use pistols.
i from a Imperial World (Backwater) world but i don't know the actual planet name
Are you using the IH or core book for the world? I am using the IH = Inquisitor's handbook. As I like the different perks the game gives me.
I'd join you on Skype, but I'm about to start a Numenera game. And I thought I should wait to see what our (possible?) GM says about which books we're using before I go on...
Well I think all GM will use at less the core + IH. From what I read. The IH gives the GM more flexibility. Which should add more fun for not only the GM but also the players. FYI I would not use a Hospitaller from BoM. As that is a rank 4 sister of battle. I would you the Novice from IH if you plan to use a Sister of Battle. You can still be a Hospitaller at rank 4 if you go down the combat branch. Like the video I links posted. The BoM Sister of Battle starts off so broken from the start. She has such good gear and skills. You can not even be hurt in your rank 1 power armor.
i used the web page you gave for the basic now i'm looking at all source to flesh my character out
Cool Cool. So what does everyone want to play as? I am really wanting to be a scum. A rebel like outlaw who does not believe in the empire but is more then willing to work with the Inquisition. My person see this as a way to rob steal and murder with no one putting a bounty on her head. She will be trying to abuse the Inquisition power to her personal gain.
I really hate the edit comments on the website. I keep hitting the blue submit post and loosing all my info. Because the website is poorly built.
i'm a arbitrator so i might have to keep you in check then
