I wonder: The help section does have a dark mode, but the main section does not.

Hello

Is their a way to have a stable access to CSS to change to a dark mode ?

My player complain about the difference between my dark dungeons and the edge so white it is like a laser beam that cuts your eyes.
[edit] I installed dark reader for me as a workaround
But it would be great to have a window for pro version to edit simple CSS init style sheet

It's been two years and a price hike... maybe we'll get it this year.

+1 as someone with a visual disability, I would GREATLY appreciate this. I sometimes have to enable a chrome extension to fake a dark mode, but it is definitely not idea.

+1. I get physically ill from eye strain and get headaches from how bright the site is and the difference in brightness between maps and the rest of R20 being bright. I'm also extremely frustrated because as somebody else said, the help center has a dark mode but the rest of the site doesn't--why?

WHY IS THIS STILL A THING?

September 10 (3 years ago)

It's been over a year since we last heard anything, and the post that the comment referenced is now closed.

It would be nice to hear from the team to at least know where this sits on their radar given how important it seems to the user base.

Seriously, its 2021, Dark Mode shouldn't be something this difficult to get implemented, just do it already. This website burns retinas with how obnoxiously bright it is.

It looks like Roll20 is beginning to implement the Dark Mode as I just saw a toggle at the top of the page when checking the Change Log. Seems to be working for me.

Wow.  That Dark Mode on the Help Site is SO much better!  I want it even more on the forums and everywhere else now :-)

+1 I have sight problems when it comes to bright lights and though I've used this website a ton and have almost 2k hours in games it still frequently gives me massive migraines due to the bright white pages. PLEASE add a dark mode so disabled people can use your website more easily! Darkmode isn't just aesthetic, its an accessibility feature.

+1 it's genuinely stupid how long its taken for them to set this up it'll take at the most about a day or two of work to get this up and running, if they don't want to do it they should make a statement about it

Do you have any idea of development works?

We know they're working on it, you can see the new Dark Mode in the help centre

However it's also attached to a big update regarding the layout and style of the entire site from what I can gather, including the tabletop itself.

It's likely a case of "we could assign people to make the old site have Dark Mode, or we can just devote our effort to the new version" and they've decided to invest their efforts in the new version because why update something your going to get rid of soon?

It's coming, just wait a bit longer.

+1 I'm literally squinting and closing one eye looking at this page haha. I hope they finally implement it site-wide and not just the help-desk.

someone should just sue roll20 for not meeting ADA web compliance and get them to release this. 2 years is too long!
