Post Character Sheets Here! (Archived, Closed 1/12/18)

Both of you have sheets now.
I have read the Basic Rules/FAQ. I have read the New Player Checklist. I have downloaded the Portable Compendium or have access to the Online Compendium. Below is a link to my character sheet which I have made using the above resources. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=897611
Jake. You need a good bit more help than I can quickly give from my phone. I'd suggest posting on Skype group and asking for help or you can wait and another dm will get to it eventually
Hi Jake, your ability scores do not line up with the array you say you used, and not sure how you got there legally. I would also recommend dropping one stat you do not need to an 8 to increase your ability in something you do find useful. Would you please review that and get back to me? With your improbable ability scores, I still do not see how you got to those defenses. The AC seems off and I do not see the feat you took to earn that feat bonus. From your class and Constitution score, I do not understand why your HP would be 47. Your attack and damage workspace is incomplete, for example half level bonuses are missing. While the guild offers you 4500gp to start, I would suggest you get yourself some magical gear for better defenses or accuracy / damage Please note the Tempest Technique requires offhand weapons for its bonuses to trigger, longsword is not an offhand weapon. My skype is baldhermit, contact me if anything I said made no sense to you.
My alt to Klamm (striker) is the following hybrid Iannes (controller). Lemme at a journal! I have read the Basic Rules/FAQ. I have read the New Player Checklist. I have downloaded the Portable Compendium or have access to the Online Compendium. Have a journal, John A

The most obvious question I can imagine you'd have about the sheet is that I built it with +2s for both weapon, armor and neck. I intend to buy from players to be able to afford all 3. Not entirely sure about the feats. Might switch them around to more NAD ones, or someone suggested initiative feats, in which case Thirst for Battle (+3 initiative, +1 surge/day) seems tempting. Let me know if there's anything else. I'm going to need a full introduction to how to actually Roll20 at some point, too.

Any advice is appreciated. Hey there, good to see some new blood around Things that need addressing: Your first three purchases should be weapon, armor neck. If you are an experienced player you can avoid this for a very small set of reasons, however as a new player please pick up a cloak or amulet. Feel free to shop around on the Sale Thread. Your misc initiative bonus shows +6. I imagine that is because you are adding the +2 from Quick Draw and the +4 from Improved Initiative. Both of those bonuses are 'Feat bonuses' and do not stack. Your bonus to initiative is +4. All of your feats/build things/etc are for crossbows and range. You are using a non-magic crossbow. Please fix this. Feel free to shop around on the Sale Thread. There is a Duelist Weapon on the Sale Thread. No reason not to buy it from the thread instead of buying it full price elsewhere. Just post that you are buying it for your character and it will be yours (at half price). Things that you might want to think about (but do not need to fix): You picked a secondary for your rogue based on Strength but you have higher Charisma than Strength. There is a Charisma secondary and was curious why you went that route. You also took +1 Int and +1 Wis as your level 4 stat increases. We do not require you to be optimized in order to play in the guild. I would, however, point out that if you don't atleast do the basics (take the 2 stats that fit your class and subclass as your highest and upgrade those as you go along) you will find yourself very much outclassed by every other player. If this doesn't bother you, that is fine. I have just seen a lot of people get upset / lose interest in playing if all the cool stuff they want to do doesn't happen because they are always missing their attacks. You do not have a Theme or Background. Both of these are optional things, but things you might want to consider looking into when you get a moment.

Buy what you want and post on the Sale Thread. New players are welcome to take advantage of the sale thread to get their equipment. Please put your array somewhere that I can find it. I see you showing a shield bonus and also show your AC bonus from your scale being 10. If you are wearing a heavy shield, please purchase one and put it on your sheet in the equipment section. Your AC bonus from magic scale is +8 for +2 enhancement and the other 2 goes under Enhancement. If you have "Last of the Breed" somewhere on your sheet I don't see it. Please put it somewhere on your sheet. As far as an intro to R20. There are several very good walk-throughs to get you started and to at least cover the basics. Please watch/read through those and once you are ready for a journal entry we can help you work from there. We treat R20 the same way as we treat new characters. Read up on the basics and then we will help you with the rest.
1. Posted in sale thread, updating sheet with items/gold. 2. Array, along with changes to it, put on page 3 under session/campaign notes 3. Shield and armor bonus fixed. 4. Had background under racial bonuses, but didn't have room for name. Moved to class/path/destiny features. 5. I feel like I've gotten about as far as I will without an actual person to show me around. Thanks! Here's the sheet again http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=904026

(A cloak and a magic crossbow) I also fixed my initiative bonus. As for the duelist weapon, I did in fact buy that one from the guild shop, but the listing hasn't been taken down yet, I posted a reminder for them today. I kinda went a different direction with the build then what I was expecting when I chose my skills. I've upped my strength and dex from what is was to fix this. I also added a few item and weapon abilities to my sheet to make them easier to remember, and I added a +1 to my attack and damage for both my weapons because of the magic enhancements. I wasn't sure, however, if that was what the magic weapons actually did. Let me know if I need to fix anything else. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=902010
All is fixed. You now have a journal entry. Get started on those macros!

When you buy your armor you need to equip it. You can do so in the quick lookup section. You also need to equip your cloak by putting the enhancement of the cloak under the Enh column of Fort Ref and Will You need to select the rest of your powers. Not from the Hexblade list, but look under the compendium for Warlock powers and select your level 1 daily and your level 5 daily warlock powers. In addition you need to denote what your extra levels in hexblade give you (check those out in the entry. For example you get something interesting at level 3 and 4). You also need to select a level 2 utility power either from the warlock list or from the list of skill powers associated with the skills you are trained in (Go to powers, filter by class and select Skill Power). You are a Fey Beast Tamer. Please denote which fey beast you chose I don't see a mechanical background listed anywhere, but you have an extra language (Deep Speech). Please denote your background and what benefit you from from it. Get some stuff fixed, feel free to ask questions in the skype chat and then we can go from there.

Amyr, as discussed in Skype chat your AC and Reflex are both off. Your class feature does not work with those stats, and frankly your entire character while more or less functional does not work well with those stats.
Aaron H: Your HP score is off, likely because you upped it by 5 levels instead of the 2 levels between 2 and 5. Your enhancement bonus of the armor is not listed correctly in the AC calculations, please correct that so it is easier to read for others. Same for the sword, not listed. Enhancement of the weapon and feat bonus is also not added to the attack calculations. For the same reason you should check the damage calculations Once you've looked at your sheet, please post again under a new post and say something so the other DMs know you made changes.

Hp seems to be right: 12+ 4*5+ 20 =52 AC im using plate: 12 +8 + heavy shield (2) + magic armor (2) =24 Not using a weapon for now. I know it sounds strange, but I have an idea.... Here's how I calculated HP, can you show me where I strayed? LVL 1 HP Class Base 15 + CON(15)=30 LVL 2 + 6 = 36 LVL 3 + 6 = 42 LVL 4 + 6 = 48 LVL 5 + 6 = 54 Toughness Feat +5 Hit Points = 59 Thanks,
Aaron H. HP is correct. The only question I have is about your defenses. You should put your AC bonus from Scale on the sheet as +7 and put +1 under ENH. Also you need to add your ENH bonus to your non-armor defenses from your cloak. a Minor nit-pick would be that Unstoppable is level 2. I'll go ahead and toss you a journal entry. Please fix your defenses when you get a second.

I have not used this character sheet platform before though, I do however have a hard copy of my character sheet that I can use as a back-up in a worst case scenario. Also I was wondering what world the campaign took place in, I did not see it in any of the resources. I would feel much more comfortable writing a more indepth backstory depending on the location.

Welcome to The Guild Living. First of all there is no basic campaign setting. We intentionally go back and forth between settings and try to leave it as open as you want. Some of the games will take place on the DnD setting of Ebberron, some in Athas, Some on Inistrad and others in custom settings. Basically pick a setting, write a background for that setting, and say you are from there. On to the character: I need your array somewhere I can find it, including your bonuses to stats from racial and level 4. Also your attack stat is STR as a melee ranger and DEX as a ranged character. Since you have both melee and ranged options it looks like you want to go both ways, but also your primary stat being Wis means that you can't hit the broad side of the barn and will be crippled for the duration of this character. We don't ask for a ton of crazy optimization, but unless you have a really solid reason not to have your highest stat be the one you are attacking with, we can say the game is likely to be boring really fast as all your cool powers do little to nothing when you miss. If you picked Beast Mastery (I assume that's the bear) then you do not get Prime Shot, Archer or Two-blade fighting style. You need an Expertise Feat. The one you took is not one on the list (or one that seems to exist). The list can be found by clicking the link on the New Player Checklist. Two-Weapon Defense gives you a +1 Shield Bonus to AC/Ref. There is a spot for shield bonus on your sheet under Quick Look Up. Put a 1 in there. Curious as to why you have so many weapons. That will make your macros a bit of a nightmare, especially as you start leveling. I'd highly recommend picking your favorite weapon and then spending the money on making it +2 (or +2 Cape or +2 Armor). You might also think about checking out the Sale Thread for items. Reflex should be Base + Half Level + Dex + Enhancement + Shield = 10+2+2+1+1=16 (Its cause your shield bonus isn't fleshed out. When you put the 1 in shield bonus and take the 1 from the feat column under your AC it should sort itself out) Let us know when you have taken another look through and we can go from there.

Retiring Daine -> Alianne Crow I have read the Basic Rules/FAQ. I have read the New Player Checklist. I have downloaded the Portable Compendium or have access to the Online Compendium. Below is a link to my character sheet which I have made using the above resources. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=911214 Backstory: (A longer backstory included in the sheet!) Present Day... The town overwhelmed her with it's size... and twice now she felt that people were following her but whenever she looked she saw no one... It was eerie how she could be in a town full of people and still feel completely alone. The street felt extremely quiet and her connection to nature felt warped somehow but Alianne assumed that could just be the weirdness of these things called "Towns". By the time her peception alerted her to their presence it was too late... Shambling figures, their bodies covered in grotesque tattoos and scars seemed to suddenly appear, as though time had been bent... She was surrounded on all sides by a group of cultists who seemed to be screaming something mostly unintelligible with a few words like Blood God mixed in... Her reaction speed surprised even her, as Alianne's bow was in her hand and firing before she even fully registered their pressence and Rowen had already smashed one into a wall like a ragdoll. Alianne fired as fast as she could but she could tell she wasn't going to be able to get them all! She could feel her heart pounding in her chest as the dread of knowing there is nothing she could do overwhelmed her... and then, as all seemed lost, daggers began to rain all around her, filleting the cultists like fish as they fell to the ground with their strings cut. A voice seemed to come from all around her, deep and masculine with a hint of a growl mixed in. "Yes Brothers, give ALL your blood to the blood god, you don't seem to need it." It took her a moment to notice her savior, and even now she had the feeling she only saw him because he let her... As a man with a book in one hand and a dagger in the other dropped nimbly off the roof. "So are you doing alright? I'm afraid you got caught up in our affairs, a bit unprofessional of us. Don't let these bloody gods, or bloody idiots bother you. Nice shooting though, I liked it." Alianne smile and her mind flooded with relief... "Yes, I'm fine... I was caught completely unawares and I'm used to dealing with my foes at a much longer distance." She commented with a glance at her bow as she slung it over her shoulder again. The man in front of her looked like he was ridiculously strong and she wondered if he could possibly be part of the group she was looking for? 'Well... he probably knows of them if nothing else.' "Could I inquire if you know of or are part of The Guild? I was looking for them and my sister mentioned that it was located in this town... I'm most unaccustomed to cities." "Well, I'd say you found us... I'm Kuro, a member of The Guild." He replied with a grin. "Although, at the moment, the town is in a bit of a bind or I'd be more formal about this but... How about we talk while we hunt?" Alianne grinned and scrambled nimbly onto a roof while Rowen ran ahead. "Shall we keep score?"

deConquerer: because we have many players and many characters to deal with, can you please write what you did or did not change, and post a new link to your new and improved character sheet? We appreciate new players, we want new players, but please do not make it us search and compare character sheets line by line to find what each player may or may not have altered.

I made some improvements to my character sheet, I've also added my array in campaign setting notes. Keep working on the items / gold / Defenses and let me know when you have taken another crack at it. Also you have a feat now that does nothing (Beast Protector).

baldhermit said: deConquerer: because we have many players and many characters to deal with, can you please write what you did or did not change, and post a new link to your new and improved character sheet? We appreciate new players, we want new players, but please do not make it us search and compare character sheets line by line to find what each player may or may not have altered. Well for one I changed around my ability scores, my dex is now 21, wis is now 17, and stregnth remains the same. I have removed Prime shot as one of my class features due to my being a beast master. I also removed 3 of my magic weapons, my poisened shortbow, my scalebane handcrossbow, and my frost dagger. I have replaced those magic items with my acrobat boots and a bag of holding. I have also swapped out my trained skill dungeoneering for acrobatics. As my abilities go, I have swapped out nimble strike for twin strike. I've swapped synchronized strike for two-fanged strike, and I've swapped my daily Lacerating Maul for Close Combat Shot. I also bought 6 healing potions. I also now have a brown bear becuase black bears suck.
Deconq, please continue your adjustments and let us know when you are ready for another review.

Okay I've completely revised my character sheet and see nothing further to improve. I have fixed my defenses to include my enchantment bonuses, and have updated the quicklookup to show accurate info. I have done small things such as updating the special senses section, and the attack and damage workspaces. I have also changed the ability power section by copying and pasting skill info from the book to the sheet. I also accidentaly removed my level 2 utility spell at one point, so I replaced it with the yeild ground encounter ability. I aslo changed out my paired shortsword for a Defensive shortsword. That should be it. Thanks again for the support of getting this finished. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=905535

As far as I can tell your attack and damage calculations are well off though. I'd suggest you work out what your attack modifiers are with a standard ranged basic attack (greatbow) and a standard melee basic attack.(shortsword). As it stands now, neither attack calculation is correct. Then the damage calculations are also off, and I think you probably should read Twin Strike and Close Combat Shot again to understand why the two differ in their static mod. It may seem silly to ask for such precision, but this points and hopefully eventually leads to a basic understand of how your character works, and before we get there, making your own correct attack and damage macros will be extremely difficult.

Hey I think it's good now. I fixed the workspaces by adding the master at arms feat bonus to my weapons. I also removed the info from quick lookup section to avoid further confusion. http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=905535

Contact one of the DMs in Skype when you think you're done. During testing, please use /talktomyself so that only you can see your work, and you're not spamming the roll20 chat for the other players. If you have any questions, also please come to Skype chat.

Hi Elwyn Please list your chosen ability array somewhere. We ask that anyway, but yours also does not seem to add up. Also please list where you placed your level 4 boost. Aside of that your Fort defense does not seem to be calculated correctly. As you list a versatile expertise, please list the two chosen groups. The item chosen is too high of a level for a starting level 5 PC. Rest looks legal / correct.
