Post Character Sheets Here! (Archived, Closed 1/12/18)

That should be good now ! I kept the provisions, I liked the flavor of it :P Tell me if I missed anything
Logue said: That should be good now ! I kept the provisions, I liked the flavor of it :P Tell me if I missed anything Hi Logue, when you hit Join Game, there will be a journal waiting for you to be filled out. Those you can find in the top right under an icon that looks like a newspaper. When you have any questions, ask in Skype. When you're done, ask a DM to check them.
I have read the Basic Rules/FAQ. I have read the New Player Checklist. I have downloaded the Portable Compendium or have access to the Online Compendium. Below is a link to my character sheet which I have made using the above resources. <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1062054" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1062054</a>

While you could have picked an additional &nbsp;level 1 encounter power instead of an E3, you would appear to not have selected utility or daily powers at all. In general, in regards to the spellbook feature, we suggest people to ignore it as needlessly complex and not adding any benefit.. So have one level 1 encounter power, one encounter power of level 1 or below, one level 2 utility power, one level 1 daily power, one daily of level 5 or below. Can you please explain the +6 Misc Bluff and he +4 Misc Diplomacy? If you have any questions or comments, please contact me, or another DM, on Skype. Please repost when you're done.

The first two encounter powers are actually the at-wills-as-encounters from MC Warlock, and I've marked them as such. I took the spell format from another Mage sheet in the census, since people seemed to be handling it differently, but it appears I wrote in the wrong box, my mistake. I've put in 1 power per level, but kept the spellbook list in notes just in case it does come into play since I do have some features linked to it. +2 bluff/stealth from tiefling racial +2 bluff/diplomacy from Enchantment Expert +2 bluff/diplomacy from Amulet of Seduction I've noted them all on the sheet now.

Would definitely be more efficient as 'just' a Swordmage, but I really like at-will teleports with conditions that are very easy to meet. Will be buying main hand weapon, armor, and neck item from the player store, so those enhancement bonuses are NOT factored in until character is approved. Gold costs for those items, however, have already been calculated and taken into account.

As a separate note: none of the hybrid classes state "or" between the defense choices, but you do only get the one. You are correct that the compendium for hybrid assassins does not list there is an additional class skill to be had.

You've changed the name of the link, but not the actual link. Fixed in this quote and that is the sheet I am reviewing. You did not list what type of armor you've purchased. As a result it is difficult to judge the AC calculation. +1 Plate would only get you an AC bonus of 8 instead of the 10 listed. The class bonus to Fort/Ref/Will is one of the three, not all three. I do not see where the +2 ability for your Reflex defense comes from. Not sure how you got to a value of 15 for your healing surge. Please give your character some traits, an idea of a personality.
Thank you for the link. I added in that it was +1 plate armour, and I'd forgot to list that I'd purchased a Heavy Shield. That is where the extra +2 Armour and Reflex came from. When I was looking at the class guide for cavalier and when I look at the source book, it reads as if it's a +1 to all three defences. Being a Spirit of Valor cavalier grants a +2 to healing surge value and +4 initiative. I'll get to work on the traits and personality, I'd forgotten about those.

You are correct that the compendium for hybrid assassins does not list there is an additional class skill to be had. Listed buy intent on sheet and made post in the items for sale thread. Math was already included for the original submission. My idea on using this as a Defender stems somewhat around my theme choice. As a Hybrid, I can only use my Aegis against one target at a time until Paragon with a feat or with powers that allow me to aegis-mark enemies outside of the main ability. However, with the Vigilante Theme, the granted power is a per-encounter stance that lets me mark every enemy I hit with an attack. Sword Burst is a close burst 1 vs. Reflex. Then there's the classic Swordmage flitting around the battlefield and generally making life miserable for marked enemies, who have to take a -2 to hit or try attacking a target who could be insubstantial, invisible, or having to move to eat opportunity from my allies. The only reason for adding Assassin is to get Hybrid Talent Shadow Step, at the cost of having to give up some powers to becoming Dex-based and Swordmage Warding.

I realized just now that I completely misinterpreted your post, I'm sorry for that. I thought you meant to calculate the cost of magic items after player thread purchases, which I had already done, and I realized that you meant adding the enhancement bonuses to defenses/attacks/damage. That has been fixed. Sheet should be all finalized for use. For posterity's sake: I have read the Basic Rules/FAQ. I have read the New Player Checklist. To the point I remade it from scratch myself to understand your choices. You defenses, HP, skills all seem to add up, so no discussion there. Please know however that Shadowed Aegis is a paragon level feat. So give that another look please. I do not understand why you did not warlock hybrid executioner (extra damage) and teleports instead , or swordmage multiclassed assassin for the Acolyte of the Veil feat. I am not sure why you did not grab a ki focus and have all your implement powers be more accurate that way. You bough an item that only benefits one attack, and then opted to not have that power listed on page 2, nor under attack and damage workspace As it stands, only with Sword Burst and Dimensional Vortex do you have a 50% chance to hit (so also a 50% chance to miss). Your other powers all have a better chance to miss than hit. You say you are aware that this build less efficient than maximum possible. I say that any team will be better off (XP budget wise) when your character does not participate. I would urge you strongly to think this one over. You will at the very least need to pick a different feat.

As far as I can do math, I think your ability scores are off. I would guess Str is a point shy. Since that will not have any consequences for the rest of your level 5 character, I will set you up with a journal. Please do adjust the sheet though before you hit Join Game. Once you are done with the journal, let a DM know. Don't forget to add your character to the Census. If you have any questions, or wish to be part of the fairly active Guild Skype chat, please contact me there.
Yup. Strength was a point shy indeed. Silly typos! Sheet adjusted. Many thanks!

Not sure if you are part already of the Skype Chat, but else contact one of the DMs, so you can be added. That makes it easier to ask questions and be kept informed of upcoming (impromptu) games. I think you listed your starting array. Based on the current numbers I can guess what you did with your racial ability boost, though it would be nice if you explicitly listed what you did with them. You seem to have forgotten your level 4 boost. (step 5 out of the new player checklist) You may have forgotten to buy a neck slot item, which is one of the three suggested you do buy in Step 9 of the new player checklist Where does your miscellaneous +3 to initiative come from ? I would appear you have not selected a theme. While not mandatory, this could give your character more power and flavor. Attack work space: I'm on board with the half level and the ability, but where does the prof score of 1 and the enhancement score of 2 come from? Also, why is expertise listed as 0? Damage score: here enhancement is set at 1, and the damage bonus from the Orb set under misc. I agree and understand this. All your chosen powers are hard to read as they show no origin. For example Dishearten (At Will level 1), Arcane Mutterings (Utility level 2).. So as I understand it, you picked Disheart and Memory Hole at level 1, and Id Insinuation at level 3. Id Insinuation is a level 3 power, but you have it listed in the box as a level 1. Second Wind is a feature all characters have Infernal Wrath is a racial feature Distract and Send Thoughts a result of your Telepathy focus Ravening Thought your level 1 daily Summon Ebony Stinger your level 5 daily Arcane Mutterings the U2 as mentioned earlier I do not know what Shadowdance Cloud is, though I am guessing you intended to write the word armor there, which would make it an item power I do not know what Acrobat's Leap is, though just like the previous I assume some creative liberty with names and you are refering to the item Acrobat Boots, which makes this too an item power Hellfire Heir, as I also wrote on November 28th, is not a theme. Do you wish to pick a Theme ? Please give us some clue as to the character, its traits, appearance, mannerism. It does not have to be a novella, but we want to know you have an idea on how to roleplay this character. Lastly, you bough a ton of stuff you will likely see no use for in our adventures, while at the same time ignoring the recommendation to buy a neck item. (also, a high level implement would increase your chances to hit, reduce you chances to miss). Please repost when you've had a chance to look at the attack work space, whether my interpretation of your powers is correct, whether you want a theme and if so which, and had a chance to clue us in on your characters personality. &nbsp; If you have more questions or wish to participate in the Guild chat, look up one of the DMs on skype I think I've fixed everything to your liking.... I listed the powers like&nbsp;Infernal Wrath,&nbsp;Distract, and Send Thoughts like this to make it easier for me to read/reference quickly. I sold back a bunch of the useless rituals and upgraded my orb to a better one instead, and added a necklace. That shouldn't interfere with wearing the one I wrote into my backstory, correct? couldn't find a theme to my liking... <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=987516" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=987516</a> I like this photo as a representation of my character

I'm trying to figure out how/if you are inputing your superior implement into your attack and damage workspace. &nbsp; It should give you +2 damage on psychic and +1 to hit will. &nbsp; Both of those should be listed as misc bonuses. &nbsp; You also need to put two things with different bonuses in your attack and damage workspaces. &nbsp;I'd make it dishearten and melee basic attack. Also you did not address or fix bald's note that your expertise should be included in your workspace. Take Orb Expertise over Implement Expertise (Orb). &nbsp; Its strictly speaking better in every way with no downside. Your skill bonuses confuse me. &nbsp; You should have a +2 to untrained from your feat, plus your bonuses from being a tiefling. For example you have +3 to Athletics, +5 to Bluff and +0 to Diplomacy all in a row. &nbsp; The Bluff is likely correct (+2 Racial, +1 Background, +2 Feat) but the other two do not look correct. &nbsp; Please list out your bonuses to skills. You have listed a +2 enhancement bonus to your attacks and you are using a +1 implement, fix that. Please break down where you are spending your money. &nbsp;A cursory look at your items shows you are over budget before getting to your rituals at all and the rituals come at a decent price. &nbsp;Just your items, by my math, come out to 4550 which is 50gp over budget, plus the eleven rituals you purchased/have as well as a good amount of mundane items that put you further over budget. You still did not label your powers appropriately (watch the video if confused or check on the census for any of my characters). &nbsp; It looks as if you are missing a second level utility. I really like the backstory. &nbsp;Look forward to giving you reasons to RP it at table. Please post when you have fixed things (by addressing the issues mentioned by name rather than saying 'fixed').
Everything looks caught up as of this post. &nbsp; If you are waiting on review from a DM (For a character, macros or token) please speak up. &nbsp; We do not intentionally ignore people, but sometimes people fall through the cracks and we don't see their posts/needs/etc.
I used to play a lot of 4e but couldn't find any groups once 5e came out. I just joined this campaign a few days ago and here is my first character. I have read the Basic Rules/FAQ. I have read the New Player Checklist. I have downloaded the Portable Compendium or have access to the Online Compendium. I'm waiting for a DM review on Lotus Petal's macros.

Hi! I'm also waiting for a DM review on Bellana's macros

Please pick 2 powers to break down in your attack and damage workspace. put your array and your level 4 bump in the stat block Label your powers. &nbsp; You don't need decriptions but A1, U2, etc makes everyone's life easier. Height/weight/age might seem really trivial, but we do want the characters to be more than a stat-stick and have some sort of background. &nbsp;Generally speaking when someone leaves everything blank and comes with a fairly well optimized character (or at least a well thought out mechanically speaking character) that is a red flag. &nbsp;Take a couple seconds to get who your person is, maybe lengthen the blurp about who they are after giving them more a sense of self. Need remaining gold Mechanically looks fine. &nbsp; Also looks like someone who rushed through the sheet and made a set of stats instead of a full character. &nbsp;Fill out the few spots you glossed over and I'll toss you a journal entry.
Lanaya said: I'm waiting for a DM review on Lotus Petal's macros. Might have missed something as I read over your sheet, but how do you have access to the wizard utility Shield? One thing I would do is to change the macros to say "An enemy under my curse is reduced to 0 hit points" instead of naming yourself. &nbsp; But that is not wrong at all, just slightly awkward. &nbsp;I'll tell one of the DMs that has a real computer that you are cleared to have a token made.
B. Sam said: Hi! I'm also waiting for a DM review on Bellana's macros Need a max value for temporary hit points Need Passives filled out (PP is Passive Perception for example) You seem to be missing most of your skills. &nbsp; Also the method you have for the skills listed is acceptable, but not preferred. It is very highly recommended that you add an expression for situational bonuses to attack and damage rolls into your macros. &nbsp;A simple ?{Attack Bonus|0} and the same for damage bonus will be something you constantly use in play and it makes it easier on the DM to know what your real numbers are instead of having to explain why 21 v AC for 12 damage is actually 23 v AC for 17 damage. You don't need to say damage is untyped This is not a correction but just a preference thing. &nbsp;Either use all active voice or none. &nbsp;"She attacks for X v AC. &nbsp; If I hit I deal 23 damage, and get an effect until the end of your next turn". &nbsp;Having all three in the same power is really mind-bending to read. &nbsp;I would go with all or nothing. "She attacks for X v AC, dealing 23 damage if she hits and giving X effect until the end of her next turn." &nbsp;Or make it all 'I'. You don't need to put the extra requirement in for Rain of Blows. Tempest dance is a great example of putting situationals in it ?{Granting Combat Advantage|3} on those damage rolls could be nice as a way to remind you that you deal 3 more to those granting CA and also giving the final number closer to the total the DM needs to keep moving. You can also macro in crits into the abilities or you can have a macro that prompts you for a crit. &nbsp;Having your crit give us a total is nice. &nbsp; For example you could have the above attack deal 23 damage (Crit: 29) or you can have your crit macro prompt you for max damage on what you just crit with so it outputs a total number for the DM rather than just your crit dice.

With the exception of the damage/attack workspace should be for 2 specific things, looks good. &nbsp; Also, not sure why you have STR as something listed as, from what I can see, you have no STR based attacks (including MBA).
