Link to my character https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1262350 This is my first crack at this (and by that I mean D&D in general). Which means I probs did quite a few things wrong any and all pointers are welcome. Welcome to the guild! Looks pretty good for a first crack at things. The way you have your array, it is very much not a good idea to give yourself a +1 dex at level 4. You typically want to have your array set up so that you are taking advantage of your level ups by putting your highest points in those stats. If you did everything the same, but started with a slightly different array (16/16/13/10/10/9) and put the level up point in strength you would end with the same numbers, except your dex would be 13 instead of 11. Do not give your level up to things that are not high numbers as it is always a bad plan for you in the long run. Alertness gives you a feat bonus to perception checks. Make sure you add that +2 to perception. Deadly Rage is a feat that will work for you, however, if you use two weapons of near the same weapon group, Weapon Focus is going to be strictly speaking better than Deadly Rage in every instance for you right now. Hide Armor does not provide +4 AC bonus until much higher level. I think maybe you meant to have some form of magic armor, but it isn't listed and you have a +4 AC listed for your armor and +1 Enhancement listed. The armor bonus of Hide is 3 and if you have +1 Hide you need to say what kind of magic armor you have in your items section (from your money it looks like Wall Hide Armor +1). Right now you are getting the enhancement bonus from you armor twice and need to fix that. Combat Sprint is a Utility 2 not 1. For Whirling Slayer you need to have a weapon in each hand and for Howling Strike you need to have a 2 handed melee weapon. There are ways to have both (they are called Double Weapons) but you do not currently have any way of using both abilities on the character. Right now you do not have the ability to use Howling Strike as you do not have a 2 handed weapon. You do not have to pay for mundane stuff (Your listed offhand and climber's kit). You should buy a magic offhand if you are going to be dual wielding, or a magic double weapon if you are going double weapon. You have not chosen a theme or background. While they are not required it can be a good option for a way to round out your character and give it a little more umph. While it is not wrong, I will point out that the benefits you get from constitution normally on a barbarian are relatively small and you do not really have any of them. The Whirling Slayer build, in particular, benefits heavily from Dexterity as the secondary score instead of Constitution. With low dexterity you might find that your defenses are very low and many of the suggested / typical options for the whirling slayer are not available to you. Please address the listed issues in list form and repost. If you need help and/or wish to be added to guild chat, send me a contact request at Gravymattingly on Skype. 1. Done (Also see 10.) 2.Done 3.Done 4.Done (I think) 5.Done 6.Changed to Whirling Rend, which if I read correctly I can use. So done 7.Done 8.Done , changed my main weapon magic enchantment also. Think this'll suit the character much better. 9.Done, 10.Done, switch up Dex and Con (13 base to Con and 16 base to Dex). I think it makes a big difference but that might be my noobness showing so pls let me know. also added a character pic Technically not wrong, although it is still giving yourself a bonus to something not your highest stat which, in the long run, is either a wash (identical to not doing it like in this example) or worse than putting it in your highest stat (every other time). Check Is there a particular reason you have a scourge in your offhand rather than another scimitar? If you have a mental image that goes with a mainhand scimitar and an offhand flail, it isn't wrong I just am not sure why you wouldn't use a scimitar in your offhand as well. Check, although the labeling is still very odd it is correct. Check Please take "Hwoling Strike" off page 1. Also, could you explain to me why whirling rind only gets +3 ability mod for damage? You are still paying for mundane stuff (30g for normal armor, 10 gp for armblades etc). Seriously, you do not have to pay for mundane items. The cost of enchant is all you need to pay for. K Background Check. You need to pick a fallen empire to be associated with. You are free to make it up, or look up things on a setting and use those. What is important about this is that you need to pick a language that isn't Abyssal, Supernal or the Language of the Mind to say is the language of your fallen empire. It will very much make a difference in the long run. One-punch was great so the pic gets an A+ from me. If I was building him I'd build it as a Book Barb (Barbarian|Swordmage Hybrid). But I would not recommend that build for a new player, so this barb looks good for the source material. Try to work on the updated list and repost. 1. Is this something to talk about in the Builds chat? Cause I kind of want it optimized. 2. K 3. Done. For some reason I thought I couldn't do that. Changed it to scim. 4. K, lol 5. K 6. Done, was looking at Dex mod for some reason, my bad 7. K 8. K 9. Done 10. Again, same as 1. Is a book barb build something I can edit on later on when I'm more experienced? or would I have to just make a new character??
