D&D 5E (2024) Character Sheet & Builder by Roll20

MISSING MODIFIERS in effects and inventory -- temporary hit points: for example the circle form of a moon druid as created by the builder updates the AC but not HP. you can manually correct the maximum hit point but not the temporary ones -- proficiency: as per ioun stone of mastery -- negative HP maximum modifier to diminish hit points (for undead effect for example) a -10 is parsed as NaN (not a number?) NON-ACCESSIBLE MODIFIERS  in effects and inventory -- Speed: cloak of the manta ray provides a base speed swimming but it cannot be chosen in a custom item -- generic saving throw modifier (cloak of protection)

Built a Ranger today. Took the background Guide. According to the PHB, the spell that I choose as my level 1 spell is always prepared. But, the spell was not marked as always prepared on the spell list. There doesn't appear to be any way to change this manually to mark the spell as always prepared. Also, I looked at one of the spells I chose: Goodberry, and saw something funny in the edit panel: That doesn't look like any Spellcasting Class I know of. :-) Continuing on, I leveled it up to level 2. The builder prompted me for everything except the two languages I get at level 2 from the Deft Explorer feature. Leveled the character to level 3, and took Beast Master as my subclass. The builder did the right things for that. But, it's not clear how to use the Primal Companions (Beast of the Land, Beast of the Sky, Beast of the Sea) from the Compendium, or how to link it to my character so that the stats are all properly adjusted based on my Ranger's level and PB.
Still can't create a Wizard / Diviner under 2024 rules, which don"t appear as an option despite my DM having purchased and enabled them.

Where are you trying to create the character, in Roll20Characters, or in the actual game? Do you see any other 2024 content? Your GM has enabled the source, but have they confirmed that the game is actually using one of their available sharing slots? Since this is 2024, you should be able to see the Diviner subclass as a drop down at 3rd level. (In 2014, it was 2nd level). the drop down will appear top right on the first screen in Level Up. If this does not jibe with what you are experiencing, screen shots might be helpful in giving some guidance as to what might be going awry.
FWIW, I just created a Wizard/Diviner under the 2024 rules and didn't have any problem doing so. So, as @keithcurtis said, more information is needed to find out why you're having problems. I'd say either screenshots or a movie showing what you're seeing would be helpful here. Hi, unfortunately Ritual caster feat doesn't work, impossible to select spells
My sheet randomly resets spell modifiers back to automatically apply, it shows the modifiers on the combat sheet and spell list but when used they are not applied in the chat screen. They were working at the beginning of the session and then halfway thru stopped working. This has happened on 3 separate games and multiple sessions.
Can we get speed and npc_speed added back to token bar selections? I used to keep my three token bars set as speed (or npc_speed), ac (or npc_ac), and either hp or none (depending on whether PC or NPC).
The current most egregious issue with the 2024 character sheet is the number of controls that are clearly present for compendium and automated work that are not available for manual work. The inability to code spells that can gain damage when cast at higher levels, for instance; compendium spells do this automatically, but anyone typing in the spell manually, either because it's a homebrew spell or that's just how they approached the character sheet, will be unable to do this. Second to this issue is the constant fighting when two people are looking at a sheet at the same time; this makes it impossible for a DM to effectively help a player with their character sheet when any change the DM or player make will constantly get overridden when both have the sheet open at the same time. Neither of these are issues with the 2014 sheet and I'm not sure any of the improvements of the 2024 sheet are worth these particular major flaws.
The "Fighting" over the sheet is and always has been in 2014 character sheet.  Can be frustrating but manageable with communication.
Is anyone else's character sheet applying dex to characters wearing heavy armor?
Frankly, While I do appreciate some of the new features on the 2024 sheet.... It straight up lacks capacity to deal with actual class and species features. I can't get advantage on initiative as per barbarian level 7, nor can I increase speed as per goliaths 'Large Form', on top of other little headaches that only add up and up.

I tried to post screen shots, but somehow that appears to be incompatible with the forum coding.  Is there a special trick?  I just used the Snip program, copied, and attempted to paste to my post.  After submitting the post - no screenshot....

How can you set up an attack action with a greatsword to reflect the use of great weapon fighting? I want the 1,2s to become 3s.

It depends on whether you're using the 2014 rules or the 2024 rules. The 2014 rules called for a reroll, and you had to use the new roll. So the formula is more simply: 2d6ro<2+modifier. Your formula works for the 2024 rules which specifies 1s and 2s are treated as 3s. And this problem is a perfect example why the new 2024 sheet by Roll20 is so bad. You can't handle simple and common things like this on the new sheet. Tuo said: MindlessCalm said: How can you set up an attack action with a greatsword to reflect the use of great weapon fighting? I am having an issue where humans cannot choose their versatile feat, and instead have to choose from the archery style or blind fighting or alert. anyone else? what's causing this?

Can confirm: Monk 2024, Human 2024, Wayfarer 2024. Same limited choices. Something is clearly broken. In the NPC character sheet is it still possible to write formulas in square brackets? I used to write a lot of them in my monster descriptions to add damage rolls in text and highlight saving throw DC's for example. Is it still possible?

It's still broken. First of all, Lucky and Skilled from the 2024 Origin feat list are both missing. Second, a LOT of the 2014 feats are missing - far too many to list...
