D&D 5E (2024) Character Sheet & Builder by Roll20

I am trying to modify an existing feat from 2014 (Sharpshooter). I am trying to modify it to add a +1 Dexterity modifier to it, but my Dexterity doesn't change from 17 to 18. Here is what I did to try to make it work: 1. Drag the 2014 Sharpshooter feat to the 2024 character sheet. 2. Click the "I" (information) button next to the feat on the 2024 Character Sheet. 3. Click the "+ Add button" under the Modifiers tab. 4. Click the "Choose Modifier" box. 5. Click on "Ability Score Modifier". 6. Change the "Ability" to Dexterity from Strength. 7.  Change the "Value" to 1 from 0. 8. Click "Apply". 9. Click "Save". Any help on what to do to fix this will be very appreciated!
Hello everyone, I have the following two problems in the sheet for my paladin: For “Inspiring Smite,” the level is not filled in correctly (under “Other Bonus,” “NaN” is entered). And with the “Heroism” spell, the “Spellcasting ability modifier” is not updated. The bonus is simply entered as “0” there. What commands do I need to enter in the two fields so that the calculations are correct?

What commands do I need to enter in the two fields so that the calculations are correct? As the Paladin Class specifies: your Spellcasting Ability is Charisma . Then choose  Charisma  in the Ability dropdown box and the bonus will be your  Charisma  bonus for the Heroism spell

Here is what I did to try to make it work: Hey Hutchinman You've got the right idea - but to adjust an Ability Score's value, as a Feat would, you want the "Ability Score Total" option instead of "Ability Score Modifier" in the "Choose Modifier..." dropdown.  Ability Score Modifier adds a bonus to the modifier explicitly, but not the base score, so it'll make your Dex mod go from +3 to +4, but not  17 to 18.  This is pretty much only useful when you want to apply some bonus to every roll/DC that uses the modifier, but not actually change the score (so very rarely if we're talking usual homebrew and manual edits).   To change both the total score and  modifier, i.e. go from 17 w/ +3 to 18 w/ +4, Ability Score Total is what to use.  You can leave Calculation Type as "Modify", Details as "Flat Value", and set value to 1, and you should be good to go!

Thank you! That was it. Appreciate the help!
Why are the NPC sheets defaulting to stat block instead of standard format now? stat block format is trash and having to manually change the sheet for every single creature i drag out is absolutely ridiculous when i can easily have 30 creatures out at once. PLEASE make an option to choose what the default is instead of trying force me to use the most useless format available.

There was a user poll over this and the default view being Statblock won by nearly 2:1. The good news is that that's just the initial default. You can change the default in your campaign by going to the Sheet Options area in your settings tab and choosing your preferred default.
issue i have run into using the 2024 sheet (in game prep only so far, and a scattered session 0...) and everything rolls along smoothly until i have to do anything with the sheet - THEN it slows down the more i use it until it becomes unusable (not loading, constantly reloading attributes on the attributes view) requiring a refresh to fix. Is there a memory issue with the sheet? are my macros slowly killing beacon?  i cannot tell - the behaviour seems only to map to [ after a bit of use the sheet dies and needs a refresh ]. Tried searching on slowdown from the 2024 sheet and i've not found relevant info (please excuse my search-fu, i just get reams of tangential complaints on reddit and stuff from 4+years ago on r20 community)
