D&D 5E (2024) Character Sheet & Builder by Roll20

I am trying to modify an existing feat from 2014 (Sharpshooter). I am trying to modify it to add a +1 Dexterity modifier to it, but my Dexterity doesn't change from 17 to 18. Here is what I did to try to make it work: 1. Drag the 2014 Sharpshooter feat to the 2024 character sheet. 2. Click the "I" (information) button next to the feat on the 2024 Character Sheet. 3. Click the "+ Add button" under the Modifiers tab. 4. Click the "Choose Modifier" box. 5. Click on "Ability Score Modifier". 6. Change the "Ability" to Dexterity from Strength. 7.  Change the "Value" to 1 from 0. 8. Click "Apply". 9. Click "Save". Any help on what to do to fix this will be very appreciated!
Hello everyone, I have the following two problems in the sheet for my paladin: For “Inspiring Smite,” the level is not filled in correctly (under “Other Bonus,” “NaN” is entered). And with the “Heroism” spell, the “Spellcasting ability modifier” is not updated. The bonus is simply entered as “0” there. What commands do I need to enter in the two fields so that the calculations are correct?

Then choose  Charisma  in the Ability dropdown box and the bonus will be your  Charisma  bonus for the Heroism spell

Why are the NPC sheets defaulting to stat block instead of standard format now? stat block format is trash and having to manually change the sheet for every single creature i drag out is absolutely ridiculous when i can easily have 30 creatures out at once. PLEASE make an option to choose what the default is instead of trying force me to use the most useless format available.

There was a user poll over this and the default view being Statblock won by nearly 2:1. The good news is that that's just the initial default. You can change the default in your campaign by going to the Sheet Options area in your settings tab and choosing your preferred default.
issue i have run into using the 2024 sheet (in game prep only so far, and a scattered session 0...) and everything rolls along smoothly until i have to do anything with the sheet - THEN it slows down the more i use it until it becomes unusable (not loading, constantly reloading attributes on the attributes view) requiring a refresh to fix. Is there a memory issue with the sheet? are my macros slowly killing beacon?  i cannot tell - the behaviour seems only to map to [ after a bit of use the sheet dies and needs a refresh ]. Tried searching on slowdown from the 2024 sheet and i've not found relevant info (please excuse my search-fu, i just get reams of tangential complaints on reddit and stuff from 4+years ago on r20 community)

Hi JD,  Could you open the Task Manager while playing? Check the memory being used periodically? See if there is an increase during your session.  It won't be definitive, but it could be a metric to show a memory leak or something.  JD said: issue i have run into using the 2024 sheet (in game prep only so far, and a scattered session 0...) and everything rolls along smoothly until i have to do anything with the sheet - THEN it slows down the more i use it until it becomes unusable (not loading, constantly reloading attributes on the attributes view) requiring a refresh to fix. i have a problem with witch bolt spell. in the sheet 2024 if i launch with an higher level spell slot it doesn't apply the bonus. it always select only 2d12 and not the bonus
I did a test. I think I can confirm this: Marco A. said: i have a problem with witch bolt spell. in the sheet 2024 if i launch with an higher level spell slot it doesn't apply the bonus. it always select only 2d12 and not the bonus
When you have auto roll damage selected and roll a weapon it is not adding any bonuses in the damage output.  Only the weapon dice (1d6, 1d8 etc).   If you click only on the damage it will add everything, but I personally have everything set to "always roll advantage" and "auto roll damage" but it is not adding any modifiers to it.  No strength modifier for a sword, no +1 for a magic weapon etc.

I'll be making tickets for these today.

Issue with the new &{template:atk} roll template - it follows the wiki in giving us a "{description=descripion}" field, but the 2014 sheet is actually "desc=description" so if you're using it in a game with both sheets you either drop the desc in one of the sheets' interpretations or you update your macros to include both fields. Broken-As-Intended? ((edit - please also let us turn off or edit  that "details" panel in the 2024 version, e.g. {{details=}} - the panel is hard coded and pointless.)) Also - hi Gauss see below Gauss said: Hi JD,  Could you open the Task Manager while playing? Check the memory being used periodically? All memory readings are from firefox, not total - but the next higest sits around 30MB. Climbed to 6500MB (used by firefox) opening one 2024 sheet and browsing it especially pushing higher when viewing the attributes section of the advanced tab - it reloads its values frequently - suspect issue here (side note: r20, the other tabs seem to be inaccessible if you pop out the 2024 sheet to its own window). Then I closed the sheet. and the memory remained around 6500MB. I reopened the same sheet (same character), and the memory climbed above 7000 MB. CPU always below 10% except when using the 2024 sheet when it pushed above 10%. Repreated same results - leaving open for a while it climbs higher regards of tab, tbut then looking at the attributes on the advanced tab pushing it to 7500MB and now nearing 8000MB. SO - its just eating more and more. 32GB RAM, Ryzen 9 | 12-core running 4Ghz, 8GB Nvidia rtx super 2070

We built that based off of the wiki article on roll templates , which seems to surprisingly be incorrect on this one. I'll make sure to add `desc` as a property that works the same as the description one so the roll templates are in line. I'll also make sure, moving forward, to double check future templates against an actual 2014 game instead of trusting them. 沈 Edit: that last character was supposed to be a smiling with tear emoji but apparently the forums doesn't like that. who knew? ߹u߹
