D&D 5E (2024) Character Sheet & Builder by Roll20

Is anyone looking at resource management? The 2014 character sheet did a pretty good job of keeping track of arrows, or crossbow bolts, or darts, or ... Sadly the old ammo script does not work with the 2024 sheet.

Hultz, If you search the forums for the below script (sorry don't know how to copy links) resource tracking is coming soon. I've found this to be a really good script as it already has enabled me to get rid of a load of macros for things like healing potions, weapon and spell attacks among others. The inventory management and shop system is also very good. I'm sure once resource tracking is added that will also work really well T&T: Chat-Based Inventory, Dynamic Shops, Auto-Healing, Loot & Item Automation for Roll20 D&D 2024
Thank you Saul J. and FFR. Looking at the Roadmap it appears that Ammo Tracking is something that is way down the list of things to be discussed.

Sadly the old ammo script does not work with the 2024 sheet. This is something we have a few tickets lined up for, but right as we were about to start them the entire team had to pivot hard to immediate performance fixes so they ended up on the back burner. We will have the first one coming back next week, but it may not be picked up immediately so don't expect them immediately. We've got a few things coming down the pipeline for resources: 1. A specific panel that consolidates all resources on the sheet, into a list. 2. A modal that will give you access to all resource IDs so you can access them via macros more easily. Once 1 is complete, there will also be a defined order so they can be accessed via list order as well. 3. An update to the attributes to allow updating resource values. This is being combined with a few API updates to accommodate the differences between legacy and beacon sheets, so the same API scripts can update these in the same way, as well as a rewrite of ChatSetAttr that should work with these new resource values. This won't immediately unlock that specific API script, because it would still need updating, but the combination of all this work should unlock a lot of the old resource-editing abilities that previously existed. Everything in this point is currently in progress. All of this is still very much in-flight, but resources is something we're very aware of and working on.

Hi, Has anyone got an issue where changing hp on the character sheet doesn't instantly change the hp on the token where bar 1 is linked to hp. Sometimes there is a long delay and sometimes I need to reload for the change to occur. I've recently noticed this happens a lot especially when using a macro to adjust hp. Just checking to see if its just me or a known issue.

Oginme, Thanks for response and good to know it's not just me. It's very frustrating but hopefully will be fixed soon !!
Hello, my friends and I are using 2024 D&D character sheets and we are all lagging at the moment. Some of us can't load the map at all, and when we try to click abilities in our character sheet some of us it takes minutes to go through. But if we type in chat it comes through instantly. Not sure if this is caused by 2024 character sheets but wanted to share. We played last week and had no issues, but we are getting constant lag issues today.

Supposedly, Roll20 released new performance "improvements" recently and they need to know that either the improvements didn't work, or they haven't propagated through or whatever the case is.
Weird bug on my 11th level Phantom Rogue last night. It was suddenly showing one fewer die (on the sheet) for Sneak Attack and Wails from the Grave. Went into and out of the builder and that seemed to fix it…
Ok... I just need to know, who has made this unhinged decision to have currency alphabetical in inventory, but by denomination inside the equipment cog...!?

This was part of something bigger, so it's taken a little bit to sort out the fixes for it. You may also see some lists out of order if you've never reordered them before, like attacks or items. It's all part of the same larger piece of work.

Hi Jason L., I took a look at the sheet and tried to reproduce the issue, unfortunately I was unable to do so. Could you do the following steps for me and report back on whether the [object Object] continues happening: 1. Remove the species from your builder (this will remove your choices, but there aren't many of them for Elf which is why I suggest it) 2. Re-add Elf to your builder using the same sourcebook and reselect your choices 3. Check if the Keen Senses Proficiency Choice has the [object Object] Thanks!

Found a bug when trying to set up a toggleable Haste effect. When setting Speed to multiply by 2 when active, it does in fact multiply by 2. This is good. This is desired behavior. What's very much not  good and not  desired behavior is that, on occasion, it'll do so over and over and over again , multiple times per second, stopping only when the effect is toggled off, at which point the character's Speed doesn't return to its default value. Clearing the cache and refreshing the page does fix it (with the exception that you still have to manually reset Speed back to normal), for a time, but it shouldn't be an issue in the first place. edit: Turns out clearing the cache and refreshing only  sometimes  fixes it, it isn't even reliable edit edit: Actually clearing the cache usually doesn't  fix it and I just got lucky that it did that one time
One level of Exhaustion is showing as Disadvantage on Saves when it should not. 2014 rules...
Liking the new Resource Trackers! Is there a way to make, say, 20 crossbow bolts into a tracker without having to add a tracker as a resource? Kind of odd to show 20 in inventory but then having to add the separate tracker…

Hi Amy, that is definitely NOT what should be happening, I've noted this bug within the sheet dev team and we'll get it fixed. Thank you for the report! One level of Exhaustion is showing as Disadvantage on Saves when it should not. 2014 rules... Hi RPGeezer, I'm unable to reproduce this issue, in my checks the 2024 rules are correctly applying the -2 penalty to Death Saves, and in 2014 rules it is not applying any changes to them. If you can open a helpdesk ticket with a link to the game and the name of the affected character that would be appreciated to help us figure out what's going on with it. Is there a way to make, say, 20 crossbow bolts into a tracker without having to add a tracker as a resource? Kind of odd to show 20 in inventory but then having to add the separate tracker… Ammo tracking is something that we're aware of and are looking into ways of how to do it, having it automatically show up in the resources panel might be one solution we take for it, but it might be an entirely different way of doing it, so for now, if you want them to show up in the Resources panel, you do need to add it yourself.
I’m wondering if it is the Stylus light mode affecting the Saves. I’ll check when back on my computer…

I have searched on the forum for an answer, but it seems to be left unanswered or ignored.  Is there a possibility in adding creating more than one custom class per character sheet? (referring only to the new 5E New character creator) (and no, I am not interested in choosing an existing class and editing it - or adding the additional multiclass as edited per level on the existing custom class)
Performance issues: yesterday session still showed performance issues. attacking from the combat tab needed 6-7 seconds to appear for some of the players (damage was even worse at 9-10 seconds) worsening performance while having the sheet open is still present asking for a restart in the session (that is better than the 4/5 of July but still not nice) very variable with the player/browser/computer/connection but everyone felt it from slightly annoying to still bothersome Andrea
Rogue Reliable Talent STILL DOES NOT WORK. It's been over two years now since it was reported (or close to that, anyway). There have been claims that it was fixed, but it hasn't: Note that it added the proficiency twice due to expertise but it did not change the roll of "4" to a roll of "10" from the Reliable Talent feature. Here's a case where the character just has Proficiency (but not Expertise): So, the system is not getting confused by Expertise.  This is on a 2024 Assassin Rogue at level 7 built today.  The system knows the character has the Reliable Talent feature: Is this EVER going to get fixed???? Or has Roll20 stopped doing bug fixes in order to focus on new features and new source books??

My (2014) Reliable Talent is working as it should, so maybe it is just an issue with the 2024 ruleset…

(referring only to the new 5E New character creator) Hi Fridolf, there is currently no way to create more than one custom class. This is something that we have had a few requests for but have not prioritized yet.

That’s so weird it works for me and not you! Hopefully the team can figure it out…

RPGeezer said: That’s so weird it works for me and not you! Hopefully the team can figure it out… Weirder: Brand new character, built in a brand new game, all 2024 features, and it doesn't work: Same new game, new character using all 2014 rules/choices, doesn't work: I've looked thoroughly on both sheets, and I don't see any obvious setting or toggle that "turns the feature on" in any way. But, clearly, it's broken. Or, since each character was built with the same character class, subclass, feats, etc. each time, that there's *some* choice in there that's breaking it. But, doing it with different options for feats, background, species, subclass, and it STILL DOES NOT WORK! The only possible difference I can think of is where you created the character. Did you create it in-game or out-of-game and import it? I haven't tried that. That's next on my list.
Tried building a character outside a game, and loading it into a game. Used all 2014 choices. Still doesn't work:

Unfortunately it was so long ago I can’t recall where I built it. When I have some time I’ll test building a new character… Edit: Whipped up a new character (in Characters) and now seeing your behavior. I wonder if it is because I made the previous character before this issue arose?…

Maybe you created that character in the window of time when it was working?
